Ableworld are the largest mobility retailer in the country and believe this is because we genuinely care about our customer’s well-being. We employ professional, caring and knowledgeable staff to work in our stores, and provide quality mobility aids at value for money prices.
We pride ourselves on being an ethical trader who will not pressure sell items and if we feel a product should have an assessment we will not sell these online, as we want to ensure our customers that they are getting the right product for their needs, not just the most expensive mobility aid.
Our stores stock all types of mobility aids, including Mobility Scooters, Walkers, Powerchairs, Bathing Aids and Stairlifts. You can be assured that in all of our stores we provide the same caring approach to looking after our customers, and the same range of quality mobility aids.

I have had nothing but positive experiences. Most recently at the Northwich branch I’ve had multiple phone calls with grace and Louise.
And seen Russell when I was in store.
my power chair is behaving very oddly! But they have listened, made suggestions and are going out of their way to enable me to try manual wheelchairs to help me have some sort of backup just in case my power chair needs to go away to be looked at.
I understand they are shortstaffed at the moment and they seem to be playing Musical stores! However, they are all friendly, kind and keen to help! And I massively appreciate the ability to phone up and speak to a person!
Thank you!

We recently contacted Ableworld to arrange to have a stairlift fitted.
Verbal quote for delivery was for approx 4/5 weeks.
We arranged for a engineer to call to measure up and give quotes of various designs.
Adam arrived dead on time and spent a couple of hours doing a very detailed fitting plan.
Prior to Adam's visit my wife's health had deteriorated and she was now a virtual prisoner in our bedroom as she could no longer manage the stairs.
I discussed this with Adam and he said it was possible that the process could be speeded up.
In fact we got the final fitting within 2 weeks, fitted again by Adam who did a very smart tidy job, which we were delighted with. The lift works perfectly and was worth every penny, giving my wife the freedom to go up and downstairs with very little effort.
10 out 0f 10 for Ableworld and particularly Adam for his efforts.
We would heartily recommend Ableworld to anyone needing help for help with disabilities.

I bought a budget walker that was on sale at the time on a Friday, i had the click and collect because there was no payment online, on the following Monday i went to collect the walker and the sales assistant in the shop charge myself an extra £4.99 because that was the new price on the Monday after the order was put through on the Friday, i phoned Ableworld`s headquarters and spoke to a lady there who spoke to the sale assistant where i order it from, they were both adamant that i had to pay for the new price, when i had order the walker under the old price, is this the times we have come to, i will not be ordering again from either my local or online Ableworld again there are better companies out there beware the price online is not aways the price you have to pay, you say in your reply you have tried to contact me, there are no messages on my land line and some one is telling pokeys because i haven`t given my land line number only my mobile so would you like to repeat yourself again

We visited the Northwich store with a seriously ill relation. He was treated with the utmost courtesy and consideration and was able to discuss his personal needs without any embarrassment. There was no hard sell and the sales team interpreted his requirements with expertise and empathy. We have experienced the same pleasurable service on subsequent visits to the same store.

Love this table. It’s perfect size; not too big or too small. The colour works really nicely in the lounge as well as the bedroom. Bought for my husband but it’s so useful I’m considering getting a second one for myself!

A great shop. The staff can't do enough to help and don't put any pressure on you at all to buy. The mobility aids on sale are of good quality and aren't over- priced. Would definitely recommend to all buyers in this market.

I bought a boot scooter in late May costing £799 unfortunately it dose not work for me as it will not travel over gravel so consequently I am limited in use. I decided to go back to the store to upgrade, I was moor than disappointed to be told they would not take my unused, as new, boot scooter back, even though I wanted to upgrade costing another £800 .where does that leave me as I was unaware they don't have an upgrade policy for their customers, i will not use Able world in the future extremely disappointed. I purchased a Hartford Shallow Bed + Headboard from the Northwich store and as promised was contacted one week later to arrange delivery. The delivery men (Mark & Tony), were pleasant and cheerful. They willingly moved my powered recliner from the bedroom to my lounge. They then brought my new bed upstairs and assembled it ( I got out of their way for that part). When finished, they showed me how it worked and didn’t leave until I confident with its operation. Thanks very much lads.

I went with my elderly mother to look at chairs. I was greeted by Lottie who instantly made us welcome. She took time explaining the different functions and the different chairs to us and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We will definitely be shopping there again.

I recently accompanied my elderly mother to purchase a riser chair from Able World. The staff were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the products. Teresa helped to demonstrate the various chair features which enabled my mother to make an informed decision as to the most suitable model. We were not under any pressure to buy which made the whole experience stress free. I will use Able World again for other care support needs.

Recently went to our local Northwich store to enquire about purchasing a boot scooter. It was nice to be welcomed into store and asked about my needs, being a larger lady I needed a greater weight limit ,to what was in store, but still needed a boot scooter. Tetesa advised they had sourced one from another branch for another lady and couldn’t guarantee if there was another one available. As it was nearing closing time Peter said they would enquire at the hub to see if there was anymore stock, and let me know as soon as they knew. I received the phone call to say they had located the scooter I wanted a Jazzy zero and it would take 5-7 days before they received it. Today 6/10/22 I received the call to see if I was still interested in purchasing the scooter, and that they had assembled it ready for me to try. We went to store I had a drive of the scooter around the car park to see if it was definitely suited my needs. We did mention to Teresa that we were going on the next day they said they would reserve scooter and I could collect on our return. We didn’t want to leave it at home whilst we were away. How pleasant to meet such a polite and friendly sales team. Gold stars all round Teresa

I was received gracefully and without judgement by ANN the shop manager. She was very very helpful. Listened to my needs and immediately was able to.provide for me the right mobile scooter for needs. She then let me take it out for a spin and advised me well on the right type of purchase. I must say she was excellent, kind and supportive. ABLEWORLD are very luck to have her. Thank you Ann. X

My wife bought two new batteries and a charger for her boot scooter from Crewe. And two months the batteries became swollen and distorted. Returning to the Northwich store it transpired we had been accidentally sold the wrong charger for the batteries. The staff were great and fully explained what had caused the problem. They apologised for the error and accepted full responsibility with no fuss. I received new batteries and a charger. I couldn't have asked for more and would fully recommend this store. A business to be trusted.

We called in at Ableworld Northwich, Cheshire and were served by Ann and her colleague. I suffer from Motor Neurone Disease, a terminal illness, but they treated me with compassion and also a lightheartedness that lifted my spirits. We were looking for a reconditioned stairlift and Ann was both knowledgeable and helpful. She arranged for a survey to be done within days. Fantastic service.
