Aberystwyth Reviews 

The town is run down, lots of empty shops, dog poo litters the pavement and promenade, parking is at a premium no where to park for free! Lots and lots of charity shops and the beach is not inviting at all. Good restaurants are hard to find, lots of fast food establishments not a great deal to do if I am honest if you do find a restaurant best to book rather than be disappointed

Our initial reservation included early arrival access before 3pm.

We had to delay arrival by a day due to family business and arranged that with Premier Inn HQ. Nobody told reception at Aberystwyth about our paid for early access consequently they flatly refused to let us in early.

Breakfast on first morning was fairly good WITH WARM PLATES!!! but by day 2 there was a staff change and the quality of the breakfast had slipped. Bacon looked undercooked and scrambled eggs very watery. Coffee good.

Have had very poor experiences recently with this branch of Specsavers. Attempts over nearly a year to get the right lenses on the Specsavers scheme were finally approaching fulfilment when I encountered the infamous Becky (or Becka) who supposedly is 'in charge of contact lenses.' This young woman is - for no reason that I can see - confrontational, unpleasant, rude, frankly dishonest and utterly incompetent at her job. She offers things and later blatantly denies them, blaming you, the customer, or other staff. She has an extraordinary bullying attitude. I've no idea what her problem is but she seems unable to apologise or take responsibility for her own failings. Apparently a number of complaints have been made about her (by both customers and staff) and I'm at a complete loss to understand why she is still at the branch. I will personally never go back to SS Aberystwyth again - which is a shame as Nesta, my optician there. has been great and I'll miss her.
