Downhill

This company's administration in the winding up of the IT Savings plans was dreadful. Basically they did not adhere to customer choices but going their own sweet way and ignoring emails and not carrying out verbal agreements. Their newly acquired company Interactive Investor did remedy one problem. The ranking above is not the worst because quality of investment itself is quite good.

They want you to use cheques...its 2022 !!!

I wanted to add money to purchase more shares in an existing account. In the past you could simply do this using a debit card....Now you need to send in a cheque...how can you trade on impulse?....Apparently the issue has been going on for a couple of months.
....who the hell uses cheques in 2022 ?..Hardly a world class company !!!

Standard Life name change

One. Star is a gift, standard life has changed its name. Don’t trust this company with your investments. I spent 25 years paying in, the company demutualised robbed the with profits fund and paid so little in the final maturity, beware of the PR, it’s simply not reliable.

Accounts Vanished. ...no records

Went online to manage my accounts to find they have disappeared, nothing there ....no records !!
Its very worrying to see your entire portfolio gone
This is the second time within a month that I have had major issues with ASI
Something very wrong going on at that company. Best Avoided

Don’t worry folks

Don’t worry folks – the company has recently changed its name to Abrn (pronounced Aberdeen apparently) to “make the brand more relevant and modern”. Good to see they've got their priorities right and they've hired those shysters Equinity to look after their shareholders such as myself. They are even worse, if that's possible.

AVOID as something strange going on there

I have an investment with them and decided to log into my account to no avail.
For over two months!!! I keep getting the run around saying IT issues, then saying wait 5 days only to be told that IT were not informed then told to wait again only to be sent a letter after 3 weeks saying please wait while the IT department looks into it and still nothing,,, No proper explanation of why I cannot log into to my account. Its actually ridiculous the customer service staff no nothing so you are just literally left hanging.

One Star Is Too Much

Terrible experience when it came to withdrawal of my funds.

1. Monies where delayed due to old-fashioned red tape. (It's 2021 folks).

2. I was not informed of the delay. My account online meanwhile went 'dead' showing no funds or transactions on my account!

3. When contacting call centre to pursue, very unhelpful, defensive staff putting obstacles in the way. Not resolved. No apology for failing to advise that funds had not been transferred back to me! No sense of remorse for inconvenience caused or the lack of transparency on their part.

4. They launched their own 'investigation'. Taking 'up to five working days' for first phase. Just a delay tactic to hold on to your money, mark their own homework and - surprise - duly find in their own favour!

5. When the red tape was eventually disentangled, they deliberately returned funds by post, in form of a cheque despite having two bank accounts for me on file (funds having been paid to them from both). Another delay tactic to cause further inconvenience, as I'd followed their 'red tape' to the letter.

6. If you don't dance to their tune, they are vile people to deal with and should not be in the financial services industry - simple as that.

7. Complaint now with regulatory authorities. Will be interesting to see where it goes.

*** Avoid like the proverbial plague. ***
Don't be fobbed off if existing customer who wants to leave.

What a scam I can't believe it.
They are all scammers, my experience with them was very bad, they collect and blocked my account. I got my charged back thru gamalielrecovryservices. am so happy right now, best.

This lot very nearly conned me out of…

This lot very nearly conned me out of £500.000. The money had left my bank when I found out it was a scam and I just in the nik if time got my cash back. I had a call on the 13th August and they were at it again, I recognised the voice. They operate out of office scam places in London and Aberdeen .. why they haven’t been arrested is a mystery

Very poor service

My wife and I sold some investments.

What a horrible experience. You cannot sell on the Telephone and you are forced onto the internet.

It doesn't tell you when you get the cash and you then have to call the call centre again to confirm. Why doesn't the settlement statement say when you will get the cash?

What do we pay a management fee for?

NOT VERY GOOD.
