This is not a review about Ryan's work but about him, this man has an anger issue!!! I witnessed him exit a roundabout in the wrong lane and force another vehicle to brake sharply. The other vehicle sounded their horn to warn him, then Ryan stopped his van holding up everyone else and proceeded to get out and storm round to the vehicle he had cut up and rage at them as if it were their fault. what a tough guy he is !!. The reason I am highlighting this is because the other person could have been an old lady or a mother with kids in the car, luckily it wasn't on this occasion. A similar thing happened to my wife recently and she was terrified. Our roads seem to be getting busier and we should all respect other road users and this should not be tolerated. So be warned about him and his attitude, if a job doesn't go quite to plan and you confront him, you could well see the other side of him.

Just had a bad experience with these guys. After approaching a few local gas engineers, they were the only ones who said they could fix an LPG hob. I explained there was a small of gas when I used a burner and also outside near the propane cannister, though no immediate danger as I had switched the gas off.
Despite this information, they turned up without a regulator on the van to address the external leak, requiring a second visit and extra cost to install.
After identifying one internal leak and clocking up more time, they told me there was another leak through the burner on the hob. But they didn’t change valves and they doubted if I could get parts.
If I had known this upfront, I would have dumped the old cooker, bought a new one from the off and the engineer who came to instal it could fix the leaks, thereby avoiding multiple visits and fruitlessly clocking up time with ABC.
I spoke to Citizens Advice who recommended negotiating with ABC to complete the works or give refund. They refused and started threatening about adding interest to their outstanding invoice and using debt collectors. I paid up after Citizens Advice said no stronger action could be taken because I did not have a quote from them confirming that they were asked to repair cooker, rather than just fix gas leaks.
Let this be lesson for others! Get a written quote.

Avoid this guy!! Disclaimer - I have discussed this with him before posting this review to try and resolve things and he’s a rude little man on email.
He replaced an Aqualisa part on my rental property which cost over £500 and the problem was still happening (the exact same problem). My tenants said he was there all of 20 minutes and then left without checking if the water was hot. To no surprise the issue persisted. Ryan then told me it was now a new issue with the boiler and wanted more money. I decided to send my family plumber of 15 years there (wish I did this in the first place but he’s not local). He said the issue with the boiler would have been there for months and likely didn’t even need to replace the Aqualisa part. The boiler part has been replaced and now it’s all working fine. An expensive mistake! With terrible customer service and rude emails… Avoid!

Ryan came and fixed our water system, which required two visits in one day! He worked tirelessly to get our water back on for us. He was so kind and patient and helped me understand what the issue was. I cannot recommend AbcGas enough!!

ABC SCAMS PEOPLE! Please avoid them calling without proper prices checked with them beforehand.
They cheat you. We called ABC emergency. They told clearly £60 you pay when they had done the job. Then within 20 minutes the workers being hired from another company blocked the water (not even repaired or replaced anything), they charged me £300 which is Scamming. To be accurate we made the first call at 20.38 at Salisbury and were told that within one hour the staff will arrive from another company. The staff arrived only at 22.00 and then did not have enough tools and so worked until 22.20 to 22.25, then they claimed that after 10 pm charges are completely different. The company that they sent was SSB Gas and Heating Ltd. They simply said £300 is normal. I asked those two Indian Sikh guys whether they will pay for their house this much money for this work. They said "no". Then I asked them why do you charge me so much. This is what the company charges you not from us they told me. SCAM! SCAM! Possibly they may do better during the day time. But, please do not be scammed by this company and do ask how much they charge you per hour at whatever time it is !

Terrible rip off. Slow draining sink. Was told within 1 hour and cheapest in area. Cost £50 callout, which is ok, except they tood 2 1/2 hours. Engineer said all he would have done is what i did. Then he said the cupboards need taking out and the main pipe neefs replacing. Probably take all day at only £295 per hour. Never use again.

Poor timing, reliability and general care of the house.

Having moved into the local area less than two weeks ago I have twice now nearly been run over and the sworn at by employees of this company. The second time the driver of the liveried vehicle nearly caused a serious accident when overtaking on the inside in torrential rain. When telephoning to make a complaint I was again sworn at and told to look where I was going.

AVOID at all costs!!

ABC Gas were recommended to me by an estate agent friend who said they were her number one call-out company for heating and plumbing problems.

I have used them several times now and recommend them to all my friends. They have never let me down. Whether the job is large or small, they stay in communication, get the job done on time, and never, ever overcharge. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Contacted them because our boiler was leaking. They booked quickly to come, told me the boiler was leaking and charged me £102 to produce a quote to fix it!! Even though their site says free estimates.

Apparently that was a diagnostics check to assess the issue. I could see what was leaking and had said as much when booking. Very rude and seem totally focused on charging for call outs rather than doing the work.

I requested a quotation for some work, was told someone would come to our house between 9-10am, had a missed call at 8:30, then called back at 8:50 only to be told the guy couldn't find my house, and had left as he was busy.

Called to rebook but was treated really badly, really rude and I definitely wouldn't recommend them.
