Started off well when first started.
States 28 mins average. Now more like over an hour. Very misleading! Says on site items available, but invariably they phone and say some items not in stock. They also give you a different type than you've asked for. I.e. I paid for sunpat peanut butter and got happy shopper at same price. Last time I ordered on July 2nd they phoned and said at least 10 items out of stock. Asked to cancel and be refunded. 13 days later, and after an email that never got responded to ,and then assured it'll be in bank between 7 to days on the chat bot I've still not received my £53.22.
Never on time make and order at 1330 it’s nearly 1530 now don’t call it a 28min delivery company when it’s not :(
Last 3 orders have been terrible with regards to the amount of time taken ! I mean 2 hours to deliver is not worth it .
Have had trouble with things missing and having to wait another 2 hours to get the stuff sent .
The people actually delivering are always lovely and apologetic . I’m not sure where the problem occurs ? The picking ? Taking too many drops on at once ?
This could be amazing needs tweaking and looking into the problems .
Will stop using them until problems sorted .
They are working perfectly and arriving on time for us in Exeter
They have improved massively
I am
Not getting my orders within 10 minutes every time!
It’s great
The last three order have taken over two hours to arrive. My last order did not arrive yet they have taken my money. I have emailed numerous times but no reply. Unfortunately I can't find any other way to contact them. This is verging on a scam/fraud as taking money and not delivering!
A joke of a company verging on a scam in my eyes.
After ordering from 8DOL many times over the last 2 years and never recieving an order within the specified time frame of 28 minutes, this latest ordeal is the final nail in the coffin for them.
28 minutes is a number you will see plastered over every AD, every page of the website and app... Do not believe this for a second. Every order would fall between the 45mins-3hours most of the time, now you could still consider this service useful and convenient even with these sorts of delivery time and I had for a while, but you are mistaken.
I would order every now and then in the hope that the delivery time would be true to its word, but you will start to notice products being replaced for cheaper alternatives without warning in most orders, contacting customer service would just yield either an apology with nothing more, or just ignore the complaint 80% of the time.
Over time you will see these replacements add up, and then orders will start coming with products just straight missing, after waiting for 2 hours with no warning or apology for the delay you will request them to bring the product, they will then proceed to take over an hour or just won’t come at all (happened to me many times). Add this on top of being given someone else’s order every now and then with no replacement after contacting customer service about it.
Now I gave the company ample time to sort these consistent issues for me with nothing but an apology for a service that has not lived up to anything that it paints itself out to be. When service problems start verging on scamming people and the company still refuses to respond to me and do anything about it, it is time to let the cat out of the bag.
Late. Items missing.
Tried getting a response from their 'Support'.
No answer after many emails.
Terrible.
Bunch of clowns
I've ordered from this company multiple times, at least 30 or so, just once my order has arrived within the 28 minutes advertised. Now this is not me being picky, 35 mins fine, 40 mins fine, an hour, okay fair enough they must be busy. But 2 hours plus on most orders is just bs given their main selling point is this whole "28 min" delivery.
Wait for it though, that's the least of your worries. My orders are incorrect with uncanny consistency, approximately 2 out of 3 orders. Oh well I can just get a refund right? Wrong. Obtaining a refund for those 2 energy drinks and Lint chocolates which never appeared will require a high court writ at the least.
Just a bit on the side, apparently I'm a clown because receiving a Cadbury's cream egg, when "you'll receive a random prize worth £5", is umm, well a joke.
Finally, in light of the Covid 19 pandemic, they increased their delivery fee by a third, because ya know there's no better way to make a profit than taking advantage of a global pandemic.
I've been waiting for my order for more than 2 hours and it still didn't arrive
Update: now a common occurrence to receive a phone call with “sorry, it will be late”.
They advertise “average 28 minutes” but no one I know has ever had a delivery within this time.
I’ve ordered four or five times with them but this last time took the biscuit.
I had a phone call after 39 minutes (11 minutes late) saying 1 driver had called sick so it would be a bit late...
The driver turned up 62 minutes after ordering but was in no urgency... Looked around his motorbike box for a good two-three minutes before picking up a call from his friend “... I’ll be done about 10:30-11:00 tonight... yeah mate...” and then finally managed to put my order together and stroll over to the door which I opened instantly. He then apologised for the receipt which was ripped in half... no offer of a refund on delivery fee.
Highly disappointing service.
