I recommend 7777, We hired a car for 12 days.
Even though we arrived out of hours, they were waiting for us at the airport and drove us straight to the office. The service was smooth and quick, and we were on the road to our destination in no time, the guys are happy and friendly.

The car itself was a great size, clean and was great value for money. One of the best things about this company is that they don't require a huge deposit like most other hire companies,it made the whole process stress-free.

Andreas was always available to contact if we needed anything. We also found it more convenient to return the car directly to the airport at the end of our trip, which was no problem at all for the team and worked out perfectly for us.

We will definitely be using 7777 Car Hire again on our next trip to Cyprus!

As always a fantastic service. They picked me up from the airport, we then inspected the car together and I drove it away for 2 weeks. When I returned the car, we checked it over again together and they dropped me back off at the airport. I have rented from 7777 a few times and I've always had excellent service. The car has always been reliable and clean. 5* service and I will be renting from you again when I return. Thank you.

Very quick, efficient and professional process for collection and drop off. Paul was particularly helpful with the walk around of the vehicle on collection. Car performed well, covering about 240km in 4 days.

I booked a car from the Paphos office through Paul for 3 days. It was a cheap price and after hiring in other countries we knew it would be worn and probably scratched. I had read the very poor reviews and told them so on pick up. We have our own excess insurance from icar hire so only paid the €800 deposit. Again I made it very clear that some people had not received theirs back. We did the walk around pointed out all the scuffs and marks which he documented and gave us a copy. We took photos and a video.
The car was functional and did the job but was very tired which we were OK with. On return we gave it a quick wipe over with some water (which tbf we've never done with other hire cars.) All was good and the deposit voided from the credit card by them and I was given a receipt as proof from their machine. The money dropped off my credit card the next day.
We didn't receive a contract by email the same as some others stated.
The staff were very polite at all times.
We personally didn't have an issue but the reviews did give us pause for thought.

Ordered a car on website just a few hours before picking it up from Paphos office. Everything went smoothly. Car only had minimal damage/scratches, nothing that affects the driving, highly recommended!

This was supposed to be a Meet & Greet service, but this didn't happen. After waiting 30 mins at the pick-up point I rang their office. Over a period of 15 mins I called 6 times, 4 of which was not answered, the last 2 was answered in Greek (No good to me). Eventually, the family x4 is getting tired and hot and spirits getting low, so I asked an English speaking Taxi driver to ring their office. He explained what I had told him along with some chosen Greek words. The Taxi driver said they are coming, and after another 10 mins they did. The driver didn't care much for us, and took us at speed (stupidly fast) to their office, even though I told him to slow many times. Their office was absolute miles away form Larnaca airport (at least 10 mins fast driving - 15 mins normal driving). After getting there, they couldn't read my driving licence properly and kept saying it was invalid. Finally got it all sorted and was shown the car. It was pants, unwashed, still had litter inside and lots of marks. So I took 100's of photo's and a video before reluctantly taking it. We are now in 1.30hrs since exiting the airport arrivals so we just wanted to go, and make our way to Protaras. Had to fuel-up as only 1/4 full. The car although in a state did last the holiday, although I had to keep pumping up 2 tyres as they kept losing air. Basically and to cut a long story short, the drama continued after taking the car back, and along with the high speed formula 1 driving back to the airport from the office miles away (and screams from the children) I wouldn't recommend 7777rentacar to anyone. VIP cars was the website used to book these people, so be aware of both these names when booking your car hire.

I booked the car last minute through VIPcar.com. I booked a cheap car for 10 days. Total cost was around £150. The next day I read the online trust pilot reviews and was shocked. But I couldn't book another car online because they all needed at least 24 hours notice. Stupidly I decided to go ahead with the booking because I thought I had paid £150. But it turns out Vipcar.com had only taken 8 quid. Lesson learned.
We landed at Paphos airport at 22:30. Christos eventually turned up at 23:00. He drove us to a very dodgy back garage in the middle of no where, no street lights, down a dirt track. We were even charged 20 euros to drive to this garage. Then the scam began. They gave me a different car, it was a "free" upgrade. We were given 2 options. Option 1 they would take an extra 400 euros deposit for the car. Option 2 pay 200 euros for insurance and they would take 200 euros deposit. I chose the second option. It's now 23:30 and we started to drive to our hotel. The car must have got a puncture driving down the dirt track because it was making a funny noise. After 3 minutes of driving I had to pull over. The car needed a new tyre, there was no spare in the boot. Phoned Christos, he turned up 20 minutes later. He tried to get me to wait for a mechanic! They couldn't get a mechanic. He refused to drive us to the hotel. He drove us to the airport to get a taxi. They promised to pay us back for the taxi. Got the car the next day. Using sat nav the speedometer was over reading. 9 days later the new car tyre is flat. It has a slow puncture. Looking in the door for a tyre pressure I noticed that the MOT sticker is 3 months out of date. I phoned Christos who said he was very busy and couldn't help. I had to drive to a garage and get it repaired, which I did. While the wheel was off I looked at the rear brake pad, it was paper thin. Sent pictures of this to Christos, he couldn't care less. At the end of the holiday I dropped the car off at the airport. Wasn't refunded the taxi money. Got an email back in the UK telling me I was going to be charged 55 euro for the tyre. Emailed back that they still owed me 47 euros for the taxi. They replied that this included the taxi refund. So I was getting ripped of by an extra 102 euros.I asked for an invoice for my travel insurance. They wanted 47 euros extra to email me an invoice! Out of spite I have canceled my card so they can't get the last 55 euros out of me. In total this cheap deal was costing 50 euros a day. These guys are crooks pure and simple.

Booked via VIP Cars, We rented in May. Hired a cheap car but didn't expect to be given a car which looked like it was used in banger racing. VIP cars??? Not banger cars?? Nothing VIP about the car or experience. We sent footage of the car and state but didn't see a reason for a part refund. Won't be using again and suggest you don't either. Tried to reach a fair comprise but seems they aren't interested.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to express my strong dissatisfaction with my car rental experience with DRIVECY RENT, also known as 7777 Rent. The booking was made through Carjet for the period from June 3 to June 10, 2025, in Ayia Napa, Cyprus.

Initially, everything seemed professional: I received a WhatsApp message in advance with information about the car handover and the meeting point at the airport. However, upon arrival, the quality of service quickly deteriorated. I had to wait a long time at the airport before being picked up by an employee and driven to the car location—about 10 to 15 minutes away.

At the handover location, I was then forced to purchase an additional insurance policy, which was significantly more expensive than the total rental price of the car. These extra costs were neither transparently communicated beforehand nor visible during the booking process.

When I asked whether I was allowed to drive the car to the Turkish-controlled part of Cyprus, this was refused in a very rude and aggressive manner. The employees gave no explanation and repeatedly said “No” in a harsh tone. This behavior was unprofessional and inappropriate.

Due to this poor experience, I only used the car to travel between the airport and the hotel. The car remained parked unused at the hotel for the rest of the week.

Upon returning the car, I was then accused of causing various damages. Fortunately, I arrived five hours before the scheduled return time, which gave me enough time to clarify the situation with the employee. After a long discussion, he finally pulled out the handover report and had to admit that the alleged damages were already present before I took the car.

This approach gave me the impression that there is a systematic attempt to impose unjustified costs on customers.

I am very disappointed with the entire process and cannot recommend DRIVECY RENT / 7777 Rent at all. In comparison, when I rented a car from SIXT last year—at the same price—the service was smooth and professional.

I expect a prompt response to my complaint as well as appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and extra costs incurred. Please also forward this complaint to DRIVECY RENT / 7777 Rent.

The car was ok. I returned it with some scratches. They kept the deposit but never sent me any invoice. I need it for insurance and keep asking but they don't reply at all. Avoid!

First time renting from this company at a great price.

Never ever book a car there. Drive client to an office far away from Larnaka airport, and there come up with hidden additional insurances and hilarious deposits.
Refuse to take client back to airport. Extremely impolite.

This company has taken £500 deposit from my card and did not refund it they told me to wait 5 days then it went to 30 days and now they have told me they paid it back.
When I told them that I haven’t had it back all they said is ask your bank.

Everyone avoid this company they do not pay your deposit back.

Beware of This Car Rental Company

This car rental company gives the impression that you can pick up the car directly at the airport. However, this is not the case. Instead, a staff member picks you up, and this service is later charged to you.

Additionally, the car was handed over to me at 11 PM in complete darkness. The vehicle was already heavily damaged all around, yet during the handover, one particular damage was suddenly claimed to be new.

To make matters worse, the company later withdrew an additional amount from my account without justification. In the end, this meant that renting from this company turned out to be significantly more expensive than initially advertised—far more costly than renting from reputable providers such as Avis or Sixt.

At first glance, this company appears to offer cheap rates, but they seem to make up for it through hidden fees and questionable practices. Proceed with caution before booking with them.

My car was booked from the Paphos office, and delivered to the hotel by Christos (sorry if I got your name wrong) very professional and friendly guy. The car was a Nissan micra, he showed and documented all the minor scratches on the vehicle and advised us to make a video as proof, despit was also refunded 3 days after the vehicle was collected from the hotel.

Before the vehicle was collected we took it upon ourselves to get the car cleaned at the local petrol station for €10, this was just a personal choice so the vehicle went back in a clean condition. You have to give the vehicle back with the same amount of fuel as when it was delivered, (Like for Like)

For the price the vehicle was brilliant, Nissan Micra 1.2 Automatic, it was a great little car,

You are picked up, and dropped back off at the airport for a 10euro fee. The car we were given had 30k on odometer but felt like it had done 400k. Make sure you capture on video / pictures all damage on the car!!! Their office is a 10minute drive from the airport, and is not guaranteed to be manned, even in the daytime.

Why is there the need to be weary of getting ripped off??? It should NOT be like this, you're supposed to be on holiday. Go elsewhere.

I booked this car whilst I was in the UK through a company called VIP cars. It was reasonable on price and the website seems authentic. When I arrive at the airport due to my flight being delayed the driver had already gone. I then called and A LOVELY GUY called Mohammed the driver came and picked us up. He was pleasant and I had no worries at this stage, However when I arrived to the shop I saw a person called Ismail at his desk watching footballing laughing and having a real good time, not even noticing that I was a customer. Mohammed proceeded to do his job, in explaining about the car and me asking to sign the paper work. I was asked to pay 800 euros deposit and the rest of the money for the rental, which I did. We checked the car together, I took pictures and then I signed again. During the time I had the car, sadly we lost the car key and informed the rental company immediately. On the phone Mohammed agreed that I could sort it out myself (get the door unlocked and buy a new original key), or the other alternative he explained was for him to come and open the car for 90 Euros and another 400 euros for a new key. It was very stressful as I had 3 kids with me, but luckily for me, my friends husband (they are Cypriots) is a well known and respected mechanic in Larnaca, arranged for one of the locksmiths in Nissan to come and open the car and reprogram a new original key. During this time I did not hear back from the rental company to check if I was ok and had got everything sorted, so I carried on with my holiday. On arriving on time to drop the car back a few days later, I again explained to the same guy who was watching football when I had initially arrived, Ismail, that we had a new key programmed and that all was well. He took the car key, agreed that the car was in 100% condition and then decided to tell me that he would now need to speak to his manager about whether I will still need to buy a new key . I was totally shocked and upset that this man was now trying to scam me out of my deposit whilst to my face!. I ran my friends husband and he said not to worry he would speak to them the following day, which was a Monday. The rental company person (Ismail) refused to speak to him and 2 days later Ismail then sent me a WhatsApp with a break down of what they were charging me. Totalling 328 euros. My friends husband told me to ask them for the key back which he would come and collect immediately. Ismail then wrote back that the car was now booked out to another customer and that the key can be picked up only on 12th September, as the customer was using the key!!!!!. This proved the key was fine and they were now trying to scammed me out of my deposit. I asked 7 times by message for an invoice to prove that they had purchased a new key, which they have still not sent!. He has given this company a bad name and I advise you not to use them at any cost. I would rather use a company that is well known and staff who know how to deal with customers.

I have had to stop all my cards and report my ID to the authorities in case they try and use any of my details. thankfully I have secured for this company to be blacklisted on all my details and it will flag up if anything is used and then they will be investigated at their shop.

Mohammed is a lovely guys and it is a shame he is working for this bad organsiation.

Ismail dropped us to the airport which I was horrified at, he drove unsafely and he did not once say a word, nor did he open the boot for us to get our suitcases or say thank you or bye. he just kept his head straight and drove off!!! This shows what sort of person he is!!!
