Bullies on commission who discreetly and disturbingly follow you at a distance and loiter nearby, and then are very aggressive in their actions.
They make false accusations and then, further, falsely claim they have the power to detain you to extract your details. All under harassing and misleading circumstances.

I was then pressured to pay immediately via QR code, with warnings the fine would increase if I didn't pay on the spot. Having not been in the UK long, I didn't know I had 14 days to pay or that I could challenge it. I felt I had no choice.

Key issues:
- I had NO intention to litter - I actively sought proper disposal
- The receptacle reasonably appeared to be a bin
- I was prevented from correcting the "offence"
- I was pressured into immediate payment
- DEFRA guidance says officers should allow people to pick up litter before issuing fines

I have since submitted a formal complaint to Bristol City Council, a Subject Access Request for body camera footage, and an FOI request to find out how many others have been caught at this same location.

Worth noting: Bath & North East Somerset Council dropped 3GS, calling their methods "heavy handed." Bristol should do the same.

The officer 1334 had fellow me from the station to 800 yards further in the road . At junction there were 3 guys dropping in pavement cigarette butts and other food packages. He didn’t stop to fine them bellowed me for a cigarette butt and using threatening language. Disgrace to Waltham Forest council! I try to challange my fine and they issue FNP without N letter ? What a scam . I will go to the court to fight as disgraceful uneducated people. Mistake I collaborated and 300£ fine. Walk away they haven’t got power to stop you!

Absolute scam, small print of what you sign states that YOU CONSENT to a the fine. They have NO mandate nor authority to detain you so walk away, thats all, just walk away from them.

Scam company evil evil evil . I stupidly gave my details because was late for a meeting. He played on that and could see I was stressed. Bristol city council are a disgrace using this company. Fined 150 for a butt I offered to pick up . Letter said 75 but phone line said I was late paying so full payment only.They deliberately hold onto fpn so you pay higher amount. Pure evil 😈. I absolutely despise these jobs worths. They got me once for this 4 years ago in Manchester Piccadilly and I gave in to em coz I had a train to catch. Last week they falsely accused me of littering and I picked this cig up what wasn’t mine coz I thought he was helping the guy coz felt like he was convinced it was my cig. So he came back at me as though he was a policeman saying nobody picks up a cig dimp what isn’t there own. So tried to get my details so I drove off this time and told him to do one. They pray on vulnerable people and if they targeted groups of young lads in city centres then I’d say there just doing there job but there not doing there job coz they only do it to vulnerable straight going people.

This company operates unethically, preying on innocent people by issuing fake fines and using intimidation tactics to guilt them into paying. They deliberately mislead and take advantage of individuals who’ve done nothing wrong. It’s a disgraceful scam, and they should be held accountable for their actions.

Got letter this morning, on 25th July at 9.45am in Great George street - I haven’t been that area for years so how can I got caught? And gotta to pay fine of £100!

Where the proof? I don’t smoke in public.

I’m stressed out. I’ve received a fixed penalty notice from this 3GS of £600. I don’t know what I did but I received the penalty. No officer came in contact with me . It states in the letter that at 1am I’ve littered something but doesn’t mention what ( definitely I was sleeping at that time) not wondering the streets. I haven’t been provided with the picture or any kind of proof that I’ve committed this offence. And the worst of it all is that I cannot even contact them . I’ve had written an email to them but no answer. Stranger thing is that the letter date is 21/06/2025 and I receive it 26/06 , so after 5 days. What should I do now ? How do they know my name ? Why they don’t provide proof of offence in the notice? It left 9 days to pay off for something I didn’t done. I live on rental property and we do not have waste bin or recycling bin. We are allowed to litter in the corner on specific days.
I’m very concerned from where I’m going to find £600 to pay for this . This 3GS letters looking like scam , I even called the local Council and tell them that somehow they must stop this 3GS because they are scamming people around. I never had a penalty in my life and I’m completely shocked, at the end I have to pay this fine because my DBS is clean and I’m scared 😱

My wife works for the NHS trust and works very long hours she was on a 5 minute break and put her cigarette out on the bin the wind blew the cigarette but off the bin and my wife picked the cigarette up but the officer still issued her with a 100 pound fine. He told if she refused to give her details then he would issue her an on the spot fine of 2 thousand pounds
This is outrages and dicussting bullying antics by this company
This company needs an internal investigation on how they intimidate and scare people about giving details they are a private security firm contracted by Leeds city council they are not the police and should not be to force and scaremonger people about giving there details

I put my cigarette butt out my car window to disguise and then went to open my car door to pick it up by this time two non English males have banged on my window and when he’s seen me trying to pick it up he’s grabbed my car door - I am more than willing to see them in court , it’s not about the ridiculous fine it’s on principle of how they have acted and been towards woman on her own .
I’ve asked for his ID and badge number and he’s refused to give it to me -
Vile company and when I have sent a complaint email they have asked for private medical evidence.
I have contacted my local MP and will take it to the papers .
They need professional training !!! Not act like intimidating thugs !!

What a awful experience I am going through. I extinguished the cigarette butt in my boot, the officer claims I threw it on the floor. I asked to see the footage, he said you can only see it if this goes to trial. I have been fined £300, but they won't let me see the footage, now I have to go to the court and pay court fee just too see the footage! How is this fair???

i received a fine of £600:00 .02/08/ unfortunately my carer put my black bag out for collection approx 20 mins before the allotted time - without me knowing about it - as i was having to attend hospital appointment to have my chemotherapy ,, which is a strict timed treatment - i acknowledged said fine -this company then sent me a letter saying that "as a good will gesture" i would only have to pay £500:00 if i payed the fine by the 01/09 . i went onto the payment portal - to find that the system was stating the payment due was £600 - i tried several times to contact them - and was surprised that there is NO telephone number for this company except the number to pay your fine - i then sent approx 4 emails from the 02/08 up to 30/09 - requesting that the amount showing on the portal should be amended or to give me advice to any other method of payment .

time was running out - so i had no option to pay the £600 (Scam) - they must obliviously be aware of this - i did make payment before the agreement as stated by the company - i have contacted them since requesting the refund overpaid i have received an reply - stating that as i have paid the £600 - i have acknowledged the fine and that there will be no further correspondence regarding this matter - this is totally unacceptable - i also think that it is totally wrong that this company only uses automated responses by email and a PO Box No - where i cannot send them any post recorded letters - i will therefore be contacting WF council as this company is contracted by them - also the next step will be taking this company to court to retrieve the monies as they have broken their agreement that they have stolen from me and refuse to repay me back .

Chasing me into an office to check if I kept my cigarette butt is a bit excessive. Put a bin there instead of having your vultures hang around sweeping up commission. I have no respect for this practise

Leeds 2024. A bullying, money making scam disguised as environmental care. This contract should not have been renewed as the firm is not following Defra advice in approaching members of the public. Private firm pretending to be police. Never give them your details. Despite what they say they cannot detain you.

Waltham forest/ be-aware of 3GS Fraud.
Make Sure you make video of enforcement officer and location if they stop you.
Fined at supermarket private Land for throwing Cigarette on floor they put false location on actual fine which is 3.8 miles away from supermarket and false time.
This company is very doggy make video while they are taking your details because they take details on their private phone be aware of Fraud (Pakistani/ Bengali officer with Beard) he was hiding his Badge as well.
Anyone who is reading this make sure to make Videos with your phone.

What an awful company, dropped a cigarette butt on the floor and picked it back up, 3GS agent came over straight away saying as I dropped it I had committed a crime and if I don't give details he will call the police, I was right outside my place of work at the time. Also he then said if I give false details it is a crime and stated my fine was £150, then advised if I paid in 10 days it would only be £75. I advised I was putting the cigarette in the bin and he said "but you still dropped it and you would have left it there, I'm recording you" total jobsworth and trying to be intimidating. I hope he has a nice life.
