Louise Gordon is incompetent
After the cap was lifted after the cost of living crisis “was over” my rent went up 25% over a one and a half year period. Given all other services went up around 20% and minimum wage went up 16% but my hours were cut by 10% to save the company money, I was under monetary strain. I have a degree in engineering, experience and have been looking for work the last 2 years but haven’t been able to find anything above minimum wage. I explained this to 247 lettings suggesting a lower increase in rent but they said it was in the wish of the landlord.
Louise Gordon is the most incompetent letting agent I have ever dealt with. I have dealt with many over the years because I’ve moved around the UK a lot but she is actually just terrible at her job including: lying then switching story when a lie is exposed, instant confrontation instead of use of empathy to reach resolution, giving me an ultimatum “sign the contract or you will be evicted” when I asked about a relevant part of the contract (a previous deposit), dismissing my questions and gaslighting. Lastly, when I asked her how I could make an official complaint she just said “in writing” I asked her to whom but she did not answer. So I guess this is me complaining now.
I’ve moved into accommodation not managed by left 247 lettings now. Maybe they are alright as an organisation. But Louise Gordon seriously needs an attitude adjustment.

Avoid This letting Company at All Costs!
Do not, under any circumstances, rent from this company. The properties are in abysmal condition, especially the three-bedroom apartment at 94 Staveley Street, DN12 1BP. I endured a year in this nightmare (2023-2024), and it was an ordeal for my family and me.
Their practice is deceptive: they slap on a coat of paint and put the property up for rent. However, the underlying decay becomes evident as soon as you move in. Mold invades every room, severely affecting the health of my wife and son. Water leaks are rampant in the kitchen and bedrooms, and the bathroom ceiling turned completely black with mold.
The maintenance team is utterly incompetent. Even basic repairs take ages, and when they finally show up, the job is half-done at best. The customer care team is no better, offering no real solutions and leaving you to suffer in a dilapidated environment.
This company turned our living situation into a year-long nightmare. Save yourself the misery and avoid them like the plague!

There is a culture of professionalism…
There is a culture of professionalism with 24/7, as a landlord you are reassured that your properties are in good hands, the team is excellent at what they do, From Harley,Jake,Nadine,Mark they are all excellent and have a good understanding of their clients needs.
As landlords who have experienced poor services from different property management, i can honestly vouch for the team as being high performers, even when asking for advice in respect to new property purchase, that 24/7 is not selling. They do a fantastic job and i hope they can keep their performance at peak.
I have been with the team for a year and they have been a blessing throughout.

This would have been a 5 star review but the maintenance team have let them down.
I would give the office staff, in particular Jake and Paige: 5 stars, as they are very nice, very friendly and professional, and always deal with any queries straight away.
However I am giving a lower rating because there have been a few issues with repairs. The first was a leak under the bath that was reported by the tenants of the shop downstairs. A plumber turned up at the flat with no warning to look at it, ripped off the bath panel to have a look, it turned out to be a leaking pipe under the bath that was left dripping for weeks. I was told that a new bath had been ordered and at the start of November I was told someone was coming to fit it. On the day, the man called me and told me that there was no new bath, instead he had brought 'a skinny guy'. When I got home I found that the bath panel had not been replaced. It then took a few more weeks to fit a new one, it has not been fitted in the same place and looks scruffy round the edges. I had noticed after the 'skinny guy' had visited that the bathroom heater had stopped working. I have reported this several times.
Jake and Paige have chased things up for me and I am very grateful to them however it is really frustrating waiting for the repairs. It is really cold in the bathroom. It is December now. If it wasn't winter I wouldn't care how long it took to fix, but because it is so cold.
The two repairmen who have looked at some problems in the flat, Karl and the man who works with him are very nice and let me know when they are coming and deal with things straight away when they are given the go ahead to do so, but the others have been unreliable and made me feel very uncomfortable at times.
If the maintenance team got their act together and were as on top of things as the staff in the main office I would recommend this lettings agency.
