I contacted 247 Money after the sudden…

I contacted 247 Money after the sudden death of my sister, asking for a temporary pause on communications so I could grieve. I sent a clear, formal email explaining my vulnerable status and requesting just 30 days of peace. Instead, I was met with silence—and then bombarded with calls from multiple numbers. No compassion. No acknowledgment. Just relentless harassment.

Myles Barton, the so-called Account Manager, responded with robotic nonsense about “priority status” and offered to speak to a third party—as if grief is a scheduling conflict. His tone was cold, dismissive, and completely devoid of empathy. It was like talking to a spreadsheet with a headset.

This company clearly has no system—or interest—in supporting vulnerable customers. They ignored a bereavement notice and chose to chase payments instead. That’s not just unethical, it’s inhumane.

If you’re going through a crisis, 247 Money will kick you while you’re down. They’ll call you while you’re planning a funeral. They’ll ignore your pain and treat you like a number. I will be escalating this to the Financial Ombudsman, and I’ll make sure everyone knows how this company operates.

Avoid 247 Money like the plague. And if Myles Barton is your Account Manager—run.

Great company

I purchased a van using this company in 2020 (5YEAR agrrement)the interest on the finance was high, but that was because my credit rating wasn't very good!! I can't fault this company t all.they've been great!! I'm self employed and had a few quiet periods in my work..they lowered the payments a few times and even put me on a weekly payment plan as opposed to a monthly.i can't see how they have so many negative reviews. I would most certainly use them again..no faults at all

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!

I am absolutely disgusted with the service from Car Finance 247. I was financed with a car that had a long list of serious faults, many of which have now been confirmed by multiple independent garages and by Audi themselves, including tampered paintwork, a non-original windscreen, water ingress, rusting bodywork, and mechanical issues. I have been ignored completely for weeks despite raising multiple concerns and submitting all evidence, including the PDI report, repair invoices (£3,738.30), and professional assessments.

The company has shown zero accountability, no regard for customer safety, and a complete lack of communication. This isn’t just poor service – it’s negligence. I have now escalated matters and involved legal support, ombudsmen, and independent bodies. The stress, time, and financial loss this has caused me is beyond words.

Think twice before using this company. If I could leave zero stars, I would.

Misleading, Unfair, and Deeply Unprofessional

I initiated a voluntary termination of my agreement with 247 Money Group in March, fully within my legal rights under the Consumer Credit Act. Since then, I’ve faced an appalling lack of communication, a refusal to confirm anything in writing, and repeated threats over payments that should no longer apply. Despite being in formal dispute, they placed a missed payment marker on my credit file, damaging my score while I’m actively working toward a mortgage. They have even threatened to repossess the car - which they had already collected over a month ago in line with voluntary termination!

I’ve raised multiple complaints, all ignored or brushed aside. Their conduct has been misleading, aggressive, and distressing. Based on my experience and the many similar reviews here, this company should be approached with extreme caution.

If you’re considering finance with them—don’t.

Extremely poor service

Extremely poor service. Had a car coming up to 3 years now with them, missed a payment and hoped for an extension on the date, but upon contacting them to discuss, I was told I would now need to clear remaining £10,000 that I have outstanding on balance if wanting to keep the car, have been told car is clearly unaffordable and my contract has been terminated as unable to clear outstanding balance!!! I now have a collection company calling me to collect my car that I have paid over £10,000 towards already!!! Scammers

Purchased a vehicle in 2022 using 247 money.

Paid £9000 for a vehicle (due to interest) - never missed a single payment.

Since the beginning, constant issues with the vehicle (turbo, clutch, oil, electrics, faulty parts) which have cost me over £2,500 in repairs in 30 months (all documented).

247 money reimbursed £150 (as goodwill!) and failed to support further.

They have been by far the worst company/broker/lender ever imagine able. I've even heard them laughing on the phones in the background to customer service.

247 Money Abysmal service

I’ll keep this short as I put a review on car finance 247.

Completely ignored my messages about sever anxiety and mental health issues and made no effort at all to accommodate this.

Accused me of selling the car because the insurance company looked up the value for my claim.

Threatened me with fraud and gave me a deadline of 2 days to pay even though the insurance company had not yet paid out so borrowed money of friends and family just to get them off my back.

Abysmal customer service - wanted to sell my car As a non runner until I queried this then changed their mind.

So far that has been my experience.

Additionally no one has contacted me from 247 regarding the other review and I raised a complaint which was also ignored.

Honestly what a great customer service

Honestly what a great customer service, I lost my job few months back and was struggling with my payments and they were so kind in assisting me and so considerate and thoughtful. In a world where everything is to do with “policy” and rules they take into account the human factor and they are so understanding and kind.
I spoke to a gentleman called Miles who was really helpful and super kind, I honestly can’t recommend this company more… never had a bad experience with them.

Left in tears

I’ve had my car for over a year now with this company. It was a brilliant start from Tariq no issues at all and I couldn’t fault it.
However, 12 months in I needed do give them a call just to change my direct debit date.
The man at first was ok as also needed to change my new address and phone number.

He then accused me of not paying my August payment which had actually gone through fine with my bank which I also rung to confirm with.
The customer service advisor was threatening and made me cry accusing me of something when I had paid!

He made me cry. & once I said how I suffer with anxiety he was so patronising about it.

How he made me feel on that call was absolutely disgusting accusing me off not paying when I had done.

Be aware everyone.
Would not want someone else to experience this distress.

Fobbed off

In regards to the recent reply to my last review from 247 money.

They did not complete any investigation whatsoever.

I have now gone to the financial ombudsman and I am currently working with legal aid to provide support.

Do not use this company they are scammers!

Do not use this company or car finance 247, they are scammer who break the law repeatedly. They supplied a car not fit for purpose and with fraudulent mot. They dragged this out since just and wrongly state that if you accept a repair this removes your right to short term rejection. It does not! Denied my consumer rights, been bombarded with unsolicited texts from companies following them selling your info on in direct breach of gdpr. Not only that, they have a loan amount on my credit file far higher than the actual loan amount. Scammers! If you have the misfortune to get caught up in this companies scams, take them to court. I'm about to get a "contact us and we'll put it right response" they don't! They also remove reviews, this is the 3rd I've put on, let's see how long it lasts.....

I'm warning everyone to not use this company. I purchased a car on finance with these. Had major problems with the car. Unfortunately I've had to pay off the settlement. They knew I was settling the finance a day after it was all settled they then decided to impact my credit score by reporting that I'd missed payments even though they knew I was settling it . absolute scum of a company. My legal team are not on the case and hopefully they will get tme back the money

They have two companies 24/7 money and car 24/7 finance. Bought a defective car with extremely high interest rates that within 2 weeks lost all power! In a legal case with them now and conducted the financial ombudsman. Ross Cunningham their customer manager basically said it happens all the time and basically laughed at me on the phone. They breach gdpr ringing off mobile numbers and then deregister them and ignore your emails. Stay well away!

AVOID!!

Anybody looking to use this company in the future I would highly recommend looking elsewhere (in hindsight I wish I did) the customer is appalling and they don’t really value your claim and just want you money.

Went with 247 money (broker) Things went smoothly in terms of purchasing a car from their recommend dealership. Within 6 months the car started to give me problems, my car horn had suddenly stopped working. Took it to Halfords and was told the car has had some dodgy rewiring, in addition to this the car was also not starting I just presumed it was the battery which I took to get changed. The issue was still occurring after having a brand new battery fitted. took it to Halfords. Who then confirmed that my car has electrical problems and I shouldn’t drive it due to the wires being held up but tape which was the car’s body module control (BMC) that was causing damage to my battery and the electrical components in the car. I raised a complaint with them, now they’re meant to be completely impartial as a company but my case handler Leanne made it very clear from the start that this was not dealerships fault and sided with them immediately and patronised me throughout the entire 9 weeks whilst handling my complaint barring; in mind I sent in all the relevant documents with clear evidence that this was a pre existing issue when I brought the car. After 9 gruelling weeks of waiting for a response with no car to drive I was told that this was my responsibility to fix and in the final email they completely disregarded that my bcm was faulty (even though they have the paper work stating this) and said it was my battery that was the issue. I’ve escalated this to the financial ombudsman who are investigating this and will hopefully resolve the issue. Ultimately they talk a good game but the service they delivery is shambolic and the case handlers are incompetent you have to wait an entire week for them to make a simple phone call. I usually don’t leave negative reviews but in the current financial crisis everyone is facing I would hate for someone to experience the same situation where I’m left paying for a car that I can’t even drive due to no fault of my own.

Got a car on finance from these people

Got a car on finance from these people, after looking at several cars i was directed to a dealership they use as they wont finance just any car it has to be were they let you go. 9 month down the line i have spent almost 600 pound on repairs and now the electrics have melted around the alternator. (Another 850 pound ) to rectify they offeref me 150 pound compensation a joke so im returning the car and contacting trading standards STAY CLEAR the car is unfit for the rd and they still want me to pay. Customer service is poor to say the least. Stress levels are through the roof right now

I paid off my existing car finance in full 2 weeks ago ahead of mortgage agreements.
I have called 3x asking for an email or letter stating my balance is now £0 and an updated loan agreement stating the loan is now paid off. This STILL hasn’t happened, which as a result has cost me my mortgage in principle.

I have emailed twice and had no response at all; I’m starting to now get concerned that £4800 has disappeared into thin air.

Please update my credit file and send me the documentation.
