I couldn’t give less than 1 star, so it’s a 1 star rating.
I was selling a motorbike and received a message from a potential buyer. Boy he was a pain in the neck, kept asking stupid question, agreed to buy at full asking price after I said I was open to offers. Insisted on me getting a 1check report and wouldn’t accept an HPI report. What made it worse is he kept calling me brother!
Having looked at reviews for 1check I decided not to use it. That didn’t go down well with my buyer.

Same experience as with the rest. The “buyer” wanted me to do a ECC check and would “reimburse”. A scam. Avoid

This is a scam. Like others, had messages starting 3 days ago, asking loads of normal questions then wanting me to send this 1 check report certificate. I googled it and sent the £5 off a reputable site and his reply was:

Could you please provide me one from 1Check? sorry I can't rely on this one as I've been ripped off in the past because of these ordinary reports when the car was cat c and it wasn't mentioned. It would be better if you could provide a reliable one from 1check so that we can proceed with confidence and transparency. You can have a look at their website:

No need to go expensive, just get the £21 Essential one because I've done that when I sold my car last month and I know it would also be as detailed as the others so it would be adequate for our deal, I think it would take at least 3hrs to arrive with the results. Let me know when you've done it so that I can start with the arrangements for our meeting. I'll reimburse you the fee of it when we meet or you can simply add it to the van price if that's a concerns. Hope that works!

No. I won’t do the report on that site. It’s a scam. I work for an audit team dealing with fraud. The report I sent is more detailed and is genuine.

Just had the exact same experience as everyone else. His phone number was +44 7366 261181 and said his name was Samuel carry. Luckily I saw these reviews before going any further. These people are scum of the earth.

Same as previous reviewers: Buyer for my campervan agreed to but it unseen if it checks out...

Advertised car on Gumtree, enquirer asked me to do a 1check, he’d reimburse me. Checked the site out on Trust Pilot, it’s a SCAM.

Just had similar experience, someone just called to buy my truck through autotrader.co.uk and insisted that I would check my vehicle through 1check.co.uk strongly suspect scam. Mobile number +447366261181 registered on WhatsApp as a business tho.

I got message yesterday, from a guy off face book motor home selling page, I thought is was odd when he asked me to go to domain 1check.co.uk.

The website has no data protection box that pops up. The UK address is pin drop on google maps had my suspicions, its a scam BEWARE

Scam. I Have my car advertised on gumtree, I got a text message from A “Roy” seemingly interested in the Car, asking loads of questions, seemed like a genuine buyer until he said about obtaining a report from 1check.co.uk
I looked at the price and thought that’s crazy for a report you can buy for £5 so i did buy a £5 report for him thinking he was genuine. Forwarded it to him and then he said no I don’t trust that report or this report as I’ve had bad experience before only trust 1check.co.uk
The amount of terms and conditions you have to accept as well on the website he “trusts” to order a report is ridiculous. 100% Scam avoid. They try to be very convincing but always trust your gut.

Tried to scam the same way as previous reviews! Stay clear!

A group/individual running a scam car checker site.

They're contacting people on UK car selling sites and playing the long game.

They spend a few hours, to a whole day buttering up sellers over messages by telling them they're interested in their car and ask loads of questions. Once the they have been asked loads they ask for a car check using this site as it's one they have used before.

They charge a lot of money to do this and at the end of the day you're paying for a report for their company (it's not real and has only been set up for the last month to scam users)

Once you have paid they may provide information but don't go to view the car. They're just getting people to pay them then saying they will come view the car in x days to buy some time and moving onto the next seller.

Once you go to purchase a basic car check for £21.91 which is free information found online or upto £45. For something you could get for £5-9.

They're all being funned to a Stripe called "UF INNOVATIONS".

Totally scam, bike on auto trader, tried to make appt then,asked for report,was very close to doing it then,bad English,not understanding messages, getting confused with other people scamming, called and not normal,

Scam pushing for report from 1check co uk before viewing and possible purchase of vehicle. Seems like an operations performed on different platforms and might be the same group as on inspectionsreport co uk.
