Flattering a starving artist who has had his drawings stolen once already then asking for money. What kind of "magazine" asks someone for an entry fee to be in their magazine. And what...if you don't pay they tell you too bad so sad, we don't care anyway were better than you, we don't need your art anyway...its messed up. I didn't know it cost 30 dollars to post a picture on Instagram. I must owe quite a bit by now. They have horrible customer service, what I experienced was not friendly but a hostile snooty attitude toward any of my concerns. Just google the art gallery, it's a straight up scam.

total scam, they contact you on social media, to submit your work for printed version of their online magazine, after you submit 1 Photo, they email you, please spend 20$ for one picture or 30$ for 4 Picture of your artwork, after you paid, you never will see your works.

Total scam! fingers away!

spending money to have opportunity beein in a magazine is scam, not lottery, in the lottery you have a chance to win, on scam like this you just burn your money.

Attention! there are 100dred or thousands of these fake 1340etc Accounts, all the same, 1340xxxxx (x stays for the various names)
all of these accounts have the same 23 or 27 pictures. Do not trust anyone of them!

there is only one real 1340 magazine, and they will not contact you, especially not over insta with sending you a link to a unknown website, all red alert lamps should go on now!

help us artists and block them, spam them, whatever, just give them no opportunity to steal your money &/or Artworks!

SCAM

They contacted me through Instagram and I sent them a pic of my art. Then, they told me I was pre-selected and asked me to PAY (!!!!) $20 or $30 for REVIEWING my art again. Of course, it seemed suspicious so I did more research just to confirm they aren't trustworthy.
Whoever is doing this, should be ashamed of him/herself.

I was approached by this company on Instagram. They wanted me to submit an image for consideration for their magazine. Once they "review" your image they send you a message saying that you have been selected by the panel for possible consideration to be in the magazine. They prompt you to pay $30 fee so that they can "review" your submissions. I was very excited about this business that seemed to care so deeply about artists, so I even bought a magazine which is very steep at $30. Next they sent me a very disappointing email about how I did not make the cut for the magazine and if I wanted to submit images to display on their webpage with "no commission taken from the artist" that all I had to do is submit 3 images. I have not heard back from them at all in regard to these images. I posted on their instagram and they immediately removed me from their followers list. Preying upon artists is not in good karma and it will come back to haunt you all. Mark my words.

This company does not exists - it's a scam messaging.
Search in google "1340 art scam" and click on first found line and read it deeper.

1340 Gallery is an amazing platform for young artists.

Asks for 20 or 30$ for a -chance- to get published on their magazine. It should be the other way around.

Also, you email looks like a scam email.

EDIT: since you responded: Do you consider the work you publish as CONTENT or ADVERTISING? If it's content, you should pay your contributors. If it's advertising, I should pay you but be guaranteed to appear. It's none of the above, so it's a scam. It shouldn't cost money to "review" art. Also, you keep saying "small fee", but 2$ is a small fee, 30$ is what I pay for 2 weeks of FOOD.

Hi there. You recently tried to delete my girlfriend's and several others’ reviews on Trust Pilot. I find it quite ironic that the more bad reviews you attempt to get deleted the more apparent it becomes that there is reason to view you as a bad enterprise. I say only that you should review your methods as a company and your irritating and false conduct on platforms such as instagram. This is a formal complaint- please take note and behave more professionally.

They are asking for 20$ & 30$ payment to submit my art for the final round.. Is it original or a scam to fool people..

Even i hv send a mail to them but no reply has come from there side... !!

Excellent service! Has responded to all of my queries (and there were a lot) within a matter of hours! The magazine competition is great for upcoming artists without a big name for a chance to be featured and seen by many. Very very good!

I do not know how to feel about 1340 art gallery. I was recently approached by them via instagram and then told about the magazine competition. I have seen many reviews and forums about this possibly being a scam, and I have seen others that speak of praise. I am a fairly young artist (17) and i see this as a possible opportunity. I want to know if this is true or not, and whether one of your curators, Hannah, is actually apart of your instagram team. She is the one who contacted me. My parents do not want me participating in the magazine competition until they are sure this is not a scam.

Every query I've had has been responded to quickly, the art magazine is well put together, and it's not the first competition I've seen with an entry fee. Sometimes people are just too skeptical that they don't even want to give anyone a chance, which is a pity. They offer some great opportunities!

I think they're great! Take a look at their online gallery. They have given some great exposure for us emerging artists whose work is being displayed! Nice variety too. I have also recently submitted for the magazine competition because I have seen the previous editions, and its a stunning mag!

Just submitted my artwork for the competition. Thank you so much for this opportunity. Simply being noticed makes me very happy already. I have submitted more images from one of my artworks. I hope this is ok..
