Very suspicious...

Contacted in the same way as all of you, no fees mentioned until my submitted image had been received. I see no point in paying to possibly have my work featured in an online only magazine... More worrying is this passage from their website;

Submission of the material

"By submitting images and text to us, you grant 1340Gallery the royalty-free right and license, to use your jpg images and supporting text, to reproduce, modify, edit, adapt, publish, distribute and display such material (in whole, or part) worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other forms, media, or technology now known, or later developed for marketing and promotion purposes. You also acknowledge that 1340Gallery is not obliged to publish any material submitted by you on any 1340Gallery publication. N.B. Please contact us if you wish your images and/ or text not be used in our marketing and promotional activities. We advise that you never reveal any personal information about yourself or anyone else (telephone number, home address, business address, delivery address or email address or any other details that would allow you to be personally identified). In certain circumstances 1340Gallery may also share your contribution with trusted third parties."

After reading that I am writing to them today to tell them to refrain from using my 1 submitted image for any purpose.

Communication regarding my order could be improved. After reaching out to inform me that questions about the piece had been relayed to the artist, customer service did not follow up even after I sent two subsequent emails regarding the same questions. Aside from that, it was great.

I didnt expect the repost after several months but when they wrote me they qere very respectful and afable. My kindest intentions to you all. Good work to give us great art shares. Greetings from Perú.

Though it was a bit difficult to get information regarding certain pieces in the beginning, ultimately, all questions were answered, all products delivered.

I am very pleased with the posting of a photo of my work and the accompanying statement about me. It was a pleasant surprise to see my work there!

My experience with Lisa from 1340Gallery has been great. Each communication has been comprehensive but not overwhelming, so I could easily understand the process and purpose behind what they do. I was provided clear instructions for uploading work and received instant confirmation, which is important when you are attaching images of your work.

There should be full transparency in regards to fee-based entries. When initially contacted by a representative, no information was given regarding any possible fees. Only after prying for the information, was I given an answer. Artists are by no means wealthy and it's a privilege for a publication to display someone's work. Therefore, please respect artists and be mindful of your marketing.

The interaction has been great, always respectful. The staff is always very friendly and polite when getting in touch.

Although I have just started working in the last few months with 1340 Gallery they already seem like a great company and magazine! They contacted me through Instagram. As one can imagine, I was extremely excited that they gave my art a shot at being featured on their Instagram page and later their magazine. Although I currently haven't been shown in either, they said I'm welcome to enter again for future features. There is no reason I think, to take that as a red flag due to the fact that they have thousands of people entering to be on there Instagram page and in each issue of the magazine. Besides I currently have three pieces featured on their online Gallery which are now open for selling and as they spelled out in the beginning when they offered it to me, all the profits made from the pieces go to the artists. Overall they seem like a great magazine that has the personal touch to want to contact new upcoming artists and give them a chance at showing their work!

I really liked the magazine, it even has my work on the front pages. I am very pleased with this opportunity to share my work, and to be published in your journal, for me it is an honor.

I've had contact with a few people from 1340Gallery and all of them were friendly and very quick to respond. The magazine had some delay in the mail but after asking about it, the respons was also very quick and helpful which was great. The magazine turned out beautiful.
Only thing I think is negative is that at first I thought 1340Gallery might be a scam. I even got a message from a fellow Dutch artist asking me if it was a scam after she saw I was selected for de Q3 magazine.
So I don't know how to improve this, but it's food for thought I think.

I've been contacted by 1340Gallery via Instagram and they asked me to upload some work! I'm very happy about it and It's a great idea that Galleries are looking for you via Instagram and ask if you want to submit some of your work! During selection they ask you to pay a little fee if you want to submit 4 images or 2 depending on your decision. I'm down with that and it's great!

The 4 starts is about the payment method: Paypal. I know it's easy and it works, but i personal don't like it because they ask you for a conversion fee. So this is my personal opinion - it's not about the 1340Gallery - it's only about the Pay Pal. I 2018, there are a lot of start-up companies which they not asking any kind of fee for this payment with conversion. One that I use is REVOLUT, which is great. Send and receive money with no fee. The Revolut idea is convert money on you phone and use a card (example: convert euro into dollars). As pay via Pay Pal there was a pop-up window with dollar conversion asking you to choose which one you like. I think if they put different options other than PayPal is going to be great! Thanks!

Was contacted about their magazine competition. Had a few questions which I wanted to ask first and they explained what I needed to know.

Saw some previous editions of the magazine and I must say that they were beautiful. I have discovered so many new artists I have not heard of before!

Love that they support various NPOs as well.

It is a very good magazine for emergent artists. I am very happy to be featured by them.
