The hotel is good and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is quite good and offers a nice variety. However, the hotel would be absolutely perfect if they provided room slippers, a laundry bag,... See more

Hotel location was great and staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel felt dated and so did the room but the bed was comfortable and furniture seemed newer. Bathroom was clean and shower had good water pressure. Stairs for the hotel are very steep but the elevator worked great so we did not use them. You can get ice from the front desk which is nice on a hot day. Overall a good stay for us for just one night.
The hotel is next to a intersection, quite a lot of traffic, but you're in a city. Room- and bathroom size comfortable. The interieur ist quite dark. The light in the bathroom is like candlelight, nice to your skin, but bad for your styling. Breakfast really good, except no fresh fruitsalad.
Absolutely wonderful cute hotel.
The staff are super friendly and attentive, they greeted me when I arrived with a very warm welcome and tips about the city.
I have also had some request on room preference and they happily read the notes and gave me what I wanted ! Very professional and approachable people.
The location of the hotel is also wonderful, walkable distance almost to everything and close to multiple tram stops so you will be connected well to the city.
Room was okay but a bit rundown. Walls are thin so there was lots of noise from the plumbing and people walking around. Room had a window on the pavement, which wasn’t great because you can’t open it or leave the curtains open. Aside from the downsides, the room was fine and the air conditioner worked well. The location is good, right next to the museums. Overall serviceable but not worth the price.
We booked a 2 week stay at the Hotel Artemis in Amsterdam. At check-in our reservation was outright cancelled because of an obscure minimum age policy hidden in the terms & conditions. No effort was made to provide us with any kind of refund, no sense of hospitality or search for viable alternatives. We were very disappointed.
Numerous emails went unreplied for a long time and only generic (maybe AI) redacted responses were then given).
There is also no way to get any contact info from their management team on the website. Try and see for yourself... Would stay away if you have other alternatives.

Overall, the real issue is the attitude displayed by the entire front desk staff.
Our room was not ready by 3:00 p.m. as promised, and the staff showed no empathy whatsoever for our situation. We were simply told over and over that the room was not ready. Only after insisting were we finally able to get access to it at 3:30 p.m.
We were dealing with jet lag and had not slept for 24 hours. It’s worth noting that the hotel charges guests if they want early check-in, yet offers no compensation or refund when the room is not available at the guaranteed check-in time.
We returned for one night after our cruise. Since we wanted to avoid going through another unpleasant situation trying to get our room at 3:00 p.m., we decided to simply leave our luggage and go sightseeing later in the day. We arrived around 7:30 p.m.
Our couple of friends and we were given two rooms where the air conditioning was not working at all, and the windows had been left open in the middle of a heat wave. The temperature in our rooms was 29 degrees Celsius.
The front desk agent told us that it would be fine within 30 minutes. Obviously, there was no improvement after 30 minutes, and they eventually admitted that the air conditioning was not working in those rooms.
We asked to change rooms, but we were told that the hotel was fully booked. Thirty minutes later, they told us that they only had one room available.
It is important to mention that it is absolutely not true that the hotel was fully booked, as there were only 8 people at breakfast the following morning compared to the usual number of approximately 100 guests. In addition, around 20 windows were left open.
It is worth mentioning that one of the front desk employees made the following comment about the air conditioning: “It’s not my problem, because if it were my problem, it would have been fixed a long time ago!!!”
Had a few nights in the hotel for a city break. It was about 30 minutes by tram into the central station. Access to the tram was right outside the hotel. We didn’t have breakfast but chose to eat out. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Close to the airport by taxi. Would definitely recommend.

Room and hotel are clean. It's a bit basic compared to Park West.
I dislike the bed, it felt extremely hot and sweaty

Stayed for a long weekend, the hotel is very central and convenient for accessing central Amsterdam. Rooms are clean with decent room facilities and bathroom. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again when returning to Amsterdam.

Really nice as usual. Staff is great and the hôtel is in a good location right in front of the tramway.

Very good stay overall. The room was comfortable, the beds were excellent, and I had a great night's sleep. The shower was also very good, and the staff were always polite and helpful.
The hotel is not located in the city centre, but this was not a major issue because there is a train station right beside, with quick and convenient connections to Amsterdam Central Station.
The only negative point was the carpet in the room. It did not seem to be very clean and unfortunately triggered my allergy. Replacing the carpet or improving its cleaning would make the stay even better.
I would also like to give special thanks to the hotel team for the assistance they provided after my stay. I needed documentation to resolve a reimbursement claim with Transavia following a cancelled flight, and the staff were patient, responsive and genuinely willing to help throughout the process. Their support made a real difference, and I truly appreciate it.
Overall, I had a very pleasant experience and would happily stay here again.

The issues with my room. Were several fold
1) the room was tiny & the bed was close to the wardrobe and refrigerator doors, they could barely open. This meant it was difficult to use the wardrobe & when you put clothes in there , especially on the shelves, it was too dark to actually see them ! Due to the low rook lighting & the fact that the doors couldn’t fully open . This on its own , is totally ridiculous & makes the room uncomfortable & actually non-functional as a bedroom! If you’re going to have rooms that small, then at least they need to be fitted with sliding doors, as a minimum! Just this on its own I believe i should get a full refund.
2) due to bed & size of the room, there was no room for bed-side tables either side of the bed. So itrbs like my phone & charger, would need to sit in top of the fridge , ! Or, next to the coffee machine ! This room may work with a single bed only , currently.
3) the shower head on the movable shower, is fixed to the shower hose, this is a very old fashioned way of having a shower head , as I like removing it to douche & feel fresher,
4) my room over-looked the motoreay ( which is an awful view) & did not have adequate sound proofing against the traffic noise, which would have kept me awake
5) the location of the hotel is remote from the city centre & therefore not walking distance to most things. I don’t want to cycle as I’d be drinking alcohol & im not confident in using public transport, especially as it requires changing trams etc, this is very inconvenient. This is not totally the hotels fault , but this could be much clearer in hotel advertising & by providing hotel -specific public transport maps & guidance .
I could have made a fuss at reception, & asked to move rooms, but I was not confident that there was any more availability, or even if there was , that the new room would not have similar problems & Additionally the self-check-in process was unfriendly & unhelpful, so i didn’t believe i would be helped,
It’s a huge shame because I later found out that friends who stayed there had a different experience. But it’s hugely concerning that both the service & the rooms are so incredibly inconsistent.
I would not want the risk of booking ANY of the XO hotels now , & neither could I recommend it to friends & family ( & we all travel a lot ! )
The other huge shame is that i probably would want to book the XO hotel westerpark again , because its walking to WestWeelde, where I do plan on attending events, but I’m too scared to , due to the risk of the room upsetting me.
What could you say or do , to make me change my mind ?
I stay very regularly in hotels all the time ( like every 3 weeks) including budget hotels like Ibis, Travelodge & Premier Inn & i never experienced these kinds of problems
I moved ar my own considerable expense to a central NH hotel, with none of these problems

Location was about 20 min bus ride and the app gvs was easy to use. Hotel breakfast was in the sister hotel 5 mins walk and it was tasty. I am unsure if the exact same breakfast would have been on offer where we stayed. Staff were helpful, quiet area with plenty of shops and food outlets nearby.

We had a lovely time at the Park West... Comfortable room, with nice, queen size bed... Nice size shower...room was kept very clean.... and very friendly and helpful staff... The breakfast is delicious with numerous choices and the tram stops just outside the door so there is no problem getting into the centre of the city...We will be returning!!

Convenient location near the Metro, nice rooms and facilities, easy check-in/check-out process, very good breakfast, good for families, friendly staff. An improvement to the room cleaning process is recommended.

I stayed at hotel Levell in Amsterdam. The location is very convenient, with a metro station nearby, so you can easily move around the city. The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff was very kind!
