Ordered tv over the phone. Didnt have to pay on ordering. Discussed delivery options and was told when tv would be in the shop. I got an email as promised when it arrived. I picked it up a couple of days later and it was carried to my car for me. All straightforward.

very good saleman who answered our questions, admitted what he didn't know (motorised satellite) and did not push us to any make or model. Only after we asked about the LG model did he declare that it was the best selling model and one that he and the staff owned. My wife was particularly impressed by his approach. Easy transaction and the comfort of knowing you are just around the corner if any issues (there aren't.)

Excellent communication and prices to match. Why on earth people go to retail park places (you know who I mean) and ask for advice from sales assistants who also sell washing machines on audio visual matters and then get the indignity of the hard sell “extended” warranty at the till is beyond me.

Having researched the product I was looking for I decided to avoid the obvious sellers like Currys and go for the retailer that really know what they are talking about. Especially having read the product review by Richer Sounds. Plus the staff were helpful and friendly. Will definitely use again. The price was also a factor as I signed up to VIP and had a £10 discount.

I have used Richer sounds for all tv and audio purchases for the past 15 years.
The staff are always polite and courteous, however, I did observe an interesting staff behaviour.
This may well appear to be overly pedantic, but in my world, details matter.
I wanted to purchase a tv and a specific LG model. I advised that this would be the 3rd LG tv in 15 years and that I was very satisfied with them.
I was initially pointed towards a Samsung (there may well have been an offer on them) so I had to re-direct the staff back to an LG.
In conversation, the member of staff advised that they too had an LG and had the same high opinion of them.
Again, so what?
Indeed, but a few minutes later the person immediately contradicted themselves by saying that they had a Panasonic tv.
This suggests (to me) that either this one staff member or perhaps all are trained to reflect the prospective customer' desire.
Again, I understand that but I would have preferred an objective conversation about the tv that I believed that I wanted wrt why I wanted it, what features are important to me.
This may have identified an alternative make/model which I hadn't previously considered.
This experience would not influence me yo go elsewhere, although it does seem to be indicative of what I may experience at another supplier which is organised along the lines of quantity and price, and not quality.

Been using these guys for many years (probably 15 years) and they are always very informative and will do whatever they can for you. This is my go to place for anything tv / visual related , No bull just the honest truth and if they can you can hear / see before you buy. I went to the store to buy a soundbar so that I could physically listen to the sound quality. I asked if the soundbar could connect to my TV by bluetooth, one less wire to contend with and was told no it has to connect via HDMI. I didn't know if I had any spare HDMI's on my TV but I bought the soundbar anyway.
When I got home and set it up I found it could connect via bluetooth, the HDMI connection allows me to use the app. What I should have been advised, the soundbar can connect via bluetooth but I won't be able to use the app with it.
I found the advice could have been better.

Went to Hanley store and had test of Wharfedale 12.3i speakers. Very helpful no pressure to buy. The sound was great after testing against many songs. Bought them and they sound great at home.
