I purchased a VW Amarok from Lookers Ford Gateshead, costing £26,000 and also paid the garage £899 for a 3 year RAC warranty.
The RAC warranty is not worth the paper it is written and they they have no interest in the inconvenience of a vehicle being off the road for 9 months and continuing today.
The vehicles engine blew up and a reconditioned engine has been fitted under the warranty.
The garage contacted me a month ago to say the Amarok was ready to pick up.
I travelled to gateshead to pick up the vehicle and before I even drove out of the garage car park the vehicle was a vibrating boneshaker with the interior full of exhaust fumes, making it a death trap which should have never left the workshop if it had properly been checked by a qualified person prior to informing me that the vehicle had been fully repaired.
I immediately returned to the garage FIVE MINUTES, after collecting it, and advised them that the repairs had left the vehicle, a shaking wreck and the vehicle was clearly unsafe, and certainly not roadworthy.
This garage has now had my vehicle for 9 months whilst I have paid in excess of £4000 in HP payments whilst they have had the vehicle off the road and still no definitive date of completion has been provided to me, even when I called them today for an update.
I asked to speak to the service manager today, but conveniently he was not in.
The updates and customer service have been dismal throughout the 9 months that the vehicle has been off the road and I only get updates when I ring the garage.
This very poor and uncaring service has been disgraceful and disrespectful towards a customer who has purchased at least 8 vehicles previously from Lookers and I will never purchase another vehicle from them.
I would not recommend Lookers Jaguar West London based on my experience.
The customer service has been appalling, and the management has shown little interest in resolving ongoing issues. My vehicle has suffered its third engine fault within a year, yet I was still charged despite the car being within its first-year warranty.
I took the car in to have the engine warning light investigated and repaired. Just two days after collecting it, the engine warning light came back on, suggesting the issue was never properly fixed.
For a premium brand like Jaguar, I expected a much higher standard of service and professionalism. Instead, I’ve experienced repeated faults, poor communication, and a disappointing lack of customer care. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before using Lookers Jaguar West London.
Feel I have been defrauded [again]. Have a service plan that clearly states two full services with MOT's. After it was booked in I discovered from the My Ford website that my vehicle has a 2 year service period so they decided on the day it only required an MOT and a visual check [most of which I routinely do myself anyway] that, I was told, cost £154. They seem to just do whatever they want to regardless of the contractual documents that so far has cost me £380 with another £300 still owing.
Last year my other vehicle, also on a service plan, was booked in for a "while you wait" service, MOT and additional brake fluid change [extra cost]. When I picked it up it allegedly had the wrong service done and I was not given the paperwork listed on the invoice. Drove home to find the Low Brake Fluid warning came up and having crawled under the vehicle [correctly it turns out] came to the conclusion they had not properly refilled the reservoir. Further inspection also revealed the engine oil had not been changed confirming that I had sat in reception for 2 hours whilst no service work was carried out. Back 4 weeks later [the earliest available], I got a frosty reception, was blatantly lied to, handed false documentation and a serious problem with the front brakes was concealed. This time I did not even get out of their car park as the engine management light was on because they had left a sensor disconnected. At home discovered they had only changed the air filter [their idea of a full service], not the spark plugs [records showed these had not been changed for 6 years] or the pollen filter as they had told me. Had to return a 3rd time to finally have the work completed.
Waste of time complaining, I did not receive one single explanation from Lookers, or the missing paperwork and Ford are not interested as Lookers are a franchise which is interesting as it makes a mockery of their advertising statements.
My advice, do not trust them and also check the paperwork very carefully.
Every step of the way through my purchase was handled professionally I cannot fault the service
We had problems with our van and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We got the van back on time and we were very happy with the way we were treated.

We arrived at our given timeslot 9am collected our car back at 5pm does not take 8hrs for a service, when they found it. When our car war dropoed off it was clean inside out including windows. We got it back with fingerprints over the bonnet, fingerprints over doors spashed water droplets on passenger an rear passenger windows. Windscreen was cover in water runs for want of better word. An the service book not even stamped.
