Pick up from airport shuttle came 3 times but never had room to get in had to find my own way to simba, waited in a hot room with aircon off to be given a MG instead of Toyota Corolla and told this down grade is an upgrade!!, I avoided this car in the booking because I know they are crap, second day it came up with service required immediately, car wasn’t swapped, we had no confidence in car so didn’t use it and returned a day earlier plus no confidence the company would get us to the airport on time, we just used Uber, Simba wasted our time and money killed our holiday

Staff friendly and efficient. Car was great, nice and clean, easy to drive. Price was great. Getting to and from the airport was quick and driver was very nice. Will use them again, and recommend to anyone.

I have used Simba several times. Staff always friendly. Good shuttle bus service. Delighted not get an MG this time.

When I arrived at the domestic airport, the driver asked if he could go to the international and pick up more passengers? I agreed. I did not know it was 25 minutes away.

We then had to go back to the domestic to pick up more passengers. Another 25 minutes. Then we had to drive to Simba car hire. 20 minutes. I has now been nearly 2 hours since I called for a pick up and I finally get to the car hire.

There are now 3 customers and only 2 staff. I am waiting to be served. Another customer arrives after me. They want to drop off keys.

The staff then serve them before me. Now I have been waiting 2.5 hours. I told the staff how annoyed I was for the long wait.

I paid for car insurance on line with rent cover after I booked the car. This cost $140.00

When I arrived at Simba, I was told that I would have to pay a $6000 excess. I would then have to lodge a claim with rent cover. Rent cover would then have to refund my money.

To have no excess I would have to pay another $150.00 to Simba. I explained that the rent cover came up on the screen after I booked. I thought it was connected with your company. They said it was not. DO NOT TAKE INSURANCE WITH RENT COVER.

I was told I would get my $500.00 bond refunded in 10 business days. It took 3 weeks to get my money back in my account.

The car was clean but the service is terrible

We rented a car in May 2026 from the Brisbane office. The vehicle let us down after a walk. Battery was dead. We had not left anything on as it was daylight. There were no lights on nothing. We managed to get an engineer after 2 hours. They changed the battery and we were on our way. Couple of days later we were going on a trip and again it wouldn't start in the morning again nothing was left on. Had to call an engineer out again. Anyway, ended up returning the car early after that engineer had managed to start it because we couldn't risk not being able to get to the airport the next day. Upon returning it there was no mention of any call-out charges as it was not our fault. On the 28th of August of the same year I receive a charge for two callouts. No warning. Almost 4 months later. Absolutely outrageous. Be very aware of the fact that they can do this to you. Their cars are not very reliable.

Keys misplaced on pick up but we got a newer car as a result.

Pick up and drop off was smooth with no issues. We weren’t entirely sure where to go for the shuttle at International but we just asked someone and found out easily. The car itself was great. The whole process was very easy. Price was also really great.
