Don’t go to First Camp Ekudden…
We left from First Camp Ekudden Mariestad.
We paid a big price for a week in a cabin including bed sheets and cleaning.
Never in my life we had such a terrible experience on vacation. We had a long journey to Sweden and had to wait an hour before we could go to the cabin (rules). We had to pay for our coffee while we waited, normally not a problem but we had to get it ourselves and it was syrup coffee, we didn't finish it, tasted bad. The 'bistro' of Ekudden is old and dirty, not skilled young people that work there that barely speak and speak barely English (and a Hej in Swedish had also been fine!)
When we came in the cabin the bedsheets were on the ground in front of the door, just thrown in. The outside of the cabin isn't cleaned in years!! Really disgusting with bird poops and spiders. Table outside I also had to clean before we could sit at it. It isn't a new cabin, but that doesn't mean it can't be cleaned. Not 4 + 2 beds but 4 tiny beds. EVERYTHING was old and dirty. Windows inside and outside, mirrors full of stains and fingers, carpet brown from dirt, the head pillows are too thin and yellow, disgusting! It is dirt from years. The beds are sleeping like hammocks, so old, instead of replacing them they have put a little thin layer of foam on it. We had back and neck pain from sleeping on it. Beds are also too small. The bathroom was the worse with yellow stains on the walls, a really dirty shower curtain, the soap tray full of rests from other people, hairs in the gutter. Really really disgusting 🤮

Warm water, just a couple of minutes and then it goes cold, the boiler is too little for 4 persons
No WiFi in the cabin, hence the tv doesn't work either.
The kitchen isn't complete with too little of everything (plates, spoons, glasses) and a pan that is too big for the little cooking plate. No dishwasher (again, we paid a big price for a week!)
The campsite itself is a nice location, but everything was dirty. The beaches are full of goose shit (really a lot). Campers empty their dirty water in the middle of the road next to the bistro by the entrance, disgusting, how could you place it there. The football field is humpy and the goal the net is broken.
Nothing to do on the campsite (there would be a lot of activities mentioned on the site!). We found absolutely nothing that makes the price worth paying. There is a swimming pool by the camping, yes it is, small and next to it but you have to pay to get inside as camping guests. Nothing is as promised. We left early, truly disappointed and also mad. We didn't get any response when we had complaints. We are waiting for a refund.
