First Choice for Shoes
I’ve been going to Clarke’s for decades and this visit reminded me why. Huge range of quality shoes and expert attentive help from Cathy who assisted me.
I visited Clarks in Westfields
I visited Clarks in Westfields, Shepherds Bush yesterday. It was very busy, however staff remained to provide a very good service. One particular member of staff, Muslina was EXCELLENT! She really went above and beyond and has patience of saint. Thank you for being so kind and patient with my son. You truly are a diamond and Clarks are very lucky to have you.
Great, efficient service at Clarks Middlebrook
I visited the Clarks store at Middlebrook to get my 16-month-old’s feet measured and look for some shoes.
We were greeted warmly at the entrance and asked if we needed help. Although we hadn’t booked an appointment, the manager gave us a queue ticket, and we were served in about two minutes.
Our assistant, Laraib, was polite, friendly, and very efficient. She was gentle while measuring my toddler's feet and did a great job involving my older child by using both of their names.
We ended up purchasing a pair of navy Lumen Hero toddler shoes. The entire process was quick, pleasant, and completely stress-free. Thank you to Laraib and the team for the excellent service.

Very disappointing and humiliating…
Very disappointing and humiliating experience at Clarks Cannock Outlet
I visited the Clarks outlet at Designer Outlet West Midlands in Cannock with my family on 18 August 2026 at approximately 3:55pm to buy school shoes for my daughter.
We initially queued outside the store, which I completely understood as the store was busy. At the entrance, a young female member of staff asked whether we were buying school shoes and whether my daughter needed her feet measured. We said yes and were given ticket number 18.
However, nobody explained how the ticket system worked or told us that we had to respond immediately when the number was called.
While my daughter was having her feet measured by a member of staff, I heard number 18 being called several times. I did not realise we were supposed to respond because we were already being assisted and had not even selected a pair of shoes yet.
After the measurement, we looked around and my daughter eventually chose a style she wanted to try. When we approached the member of staff who had been calling the numbers and showed her ticket 18, she told us that she had already called our number many times and that we now had to take another ticket.
I explained that nobody had told us how the system worked and that we had been having my daughter's feet measured when our number was called. She simply kept repeating that she had called number 18 several times.
Although I disagreed with how the system had been explained, I was prepared to return to the entrance and take another ticket.
What happened next was what made the experience particularly unacceptable to me.
The same member of staff then walked from further inside the store towards the entrance/cashier area and loudly told me, “Don't shout at our staff.”
I was extremely surprised. She was the member of staff I had been speaking to about the ticket issue. I immediately told her that I had only been speaking to her and that I had not been shouting at her.
I then asked for her name because I wanted to make a complaint about how the situation was being handled. She refused to give me her name and repeatedly shook her head.
An older female member of staff at the cashier area then instructed her to call security. As far as I was aware, this member of staff had not been involved in our earlier discussion about the ticket or asked me what had happened before giving that instruction.
At that point, my family and I decided to leave the store.
What began as a simple misunderstanding caused by an unexplained ticketing procedure had somehow escalated into me being accused of shouting at staff and security being called.
I found the experience extremely upsetting and humiliating, particularly as it happened in front of my family and other customers.
I would like Clarks to review what happened at the Cannock store, including the relevant CCTV footage from approximately 3:55pm to 4:25pm on 18 August 2026, and explain whether this is the standard of customer service and complaint handling that Clarks considers acceptable.

Today we took our daughter to Clarks for what should have been a really special milestone: buying her first pair of school shoes.
The store was extremely busy, which we completely understood, and initially the experience was positive. We went through the fitting process, found a pair we liked, and they were fitted perfectly. We then asked the assistant to put the shoes behind the till while we looked at some trainers.
When we came to pay, the shoes had disappeared. The assistant had either put them somewhere incorrectly and completely misplaced them, or they had somehow been sold to somebody else. Either way, Clarks had lost the only pair of shoes that our daughter had been fitted for.
The result? Our little girl had to walk out of the shop without her first pair of school shoes. I genuinely cannot describe how upsetting and disappointing that was, particularly given the significance of the occasion.
What made the situation even worse was the response from the store manager, who proceeded to try to upsell me three pairs of shoes with one half price. I had to point out that it was rather difficult to see the appeal of buying three pairs of shoes when they had just lost the one pair I actually wanted.
Mistakes happen, particularly in a busy store. But the way this was handled was incredibly poor, and there was very little recognition of how disappointing this experience was for a young child and her parent.
I have always associated Clarks with quality, expertise and excellent service. Sadly, this experience felt like a very long way from that.
I would strongly recommend avoiding this store. The standard of service was extremely disappointing, and it has seriously damaged my perception of the Clarks brand.

A lovely friendly welcome from Brooke,
Helped with fitting, brought out various pairs, listened to us, asked what we needed. Shoes were purchased (surprisingly, I expected having to go Leeds another day!) All within 30 minutes.
Great service and the other staff member was friendly and asked if we were having a good day.
Thankyou.
