If only I could give a no star rating...

I book with lastminute on a regular basis and apart from the bad customer service I have not had any major issues until now. I booked a holiday with them, first passenger details were already filled by autofill because I am a regular user of the site so I only needed to fill out the second and third passenger details and so I did. I checked the lead passenger details which were also already filled in so left those as well. After checking the details of each passenger to confirm that they are correct I clicked 'book' and it took me to a confirmation page. This showed two passengers with the same name and one other name rather than three different passenger names. It had auto filled the lead passenger details into passenger one which ultimately left me with two tickets in one name (both with different date of births) and one passenger with no ticket. I called the company straight away and was told they couldn't do anything to help and to call the airline direct. The airline couldn't help either because I had booked through a travel agent. So I was left with two tickets in the same name with a different date of birth which made one ticket completely redundant. I was told by lastminute that as there was not a website error it has nothing to do with them and so would not do anything to help. I then requested to speak to a manager who is yet to call me back after 48+ hours when I was told no longer than 24 hours; exchanging emails with their disastrous customer service team is getting us nowhere and so have had to book another airline ticket at a massive extra cost. As lastminute will not cancel one of the flight tickets for me either I now have 4 seats on the plane when I only need 3. I honestly can't believe the service I have received, I keep hearing 'due to policy we can't help you' or 'as it was not our fault we can't help'. Why would I book two tickets in the same name but with different dates of birth, I'm not stupid (it's like they assume I have no brain). I am also not Mystic Meg and so can't guess which boxes the autofill function is going to fill out once I click 'book'. Less than useless company, never again.
