Bad returns and fixing policy
Having bought a rather expensive acoustic guitar from Thomann I was pleased with their fast service, speedy delivery an reasonable price. However, the moment when things went wrong their service levels began to drop.
I had an issue with a faulty truss rod and, after the guitar was returned (free of charge, but took 8 weeks all told) and "fixed" it was returned in the original, broken condition. I was told that nothing was wrong with it, but after I sent a video detailing the issues they agreed it was not fixed but that now it is a "used guitar" I could not be given a refund!
It shows the dangers of buying abroad with mail order companies. Sadly I am too worried to use them and could not, in good conscience, recommend you do.
If your instrument has no issues they are fast and have good stock. If you need to return it then beware.
