After a very rocky start with our installation and two weeks of chasing phoning and emails Matt S came out this morning and he sorted everything out and all is working perfectly we are so grateful to him he was very efficient and knowledgeable and made sure everything was working before he left, he also sorted out the problem with our porting of the landline which I had been chasing and getting nowhere Thankyou Matt so much
Having subscribed to Trust Telecom we encountered a very difficult problem. However, the management and technicians were brilliant, helpful, knowledgeable efficient, and easy to work with. They knew my business depended on them getting it right. I fully recommend this company
These are a scam underhanded company. They pressured an elderly person by lying to say their BT services and lines were about to stop and also telling them that they are part of BT. Don’t ever use the and protect your loved ones from them as they are the biggest rip off merchants.
The service is ridiculous, unreliable and they do not value customer experience apparently.
I was looking forward to signing up for their black card package and enjoying the perks,
But the nightmare starts from the first bill -
1. My number can be registered under a different person ❗️major red flag
2. Despite needing me to go down 2 other times and 3 other times myself to resolve this, still can’t get it done properly.. 6th time is the charm (like finally.)
3. Despite being promised on resolving the correct membership by the date, still not done. Once again went to the center, promised to change, and not surprised that its night time but still not done. (Annoyance to the max)
I would also add that I see more foreigners at the Center - most were there complaining of services, technical disruptions or billing discrepancies.
I guess that’s why most locals avoid this provider. I would advise whoever’s considering telecom services, do your due diligence to compare wisely.
Rang my elderly grandparents pretending to be their current provider BT! Switched their provider without their permission. Stole bank details!
Cold call, told them I was not interested. Guy persisted then slammed the phone down on me. Not exactly a company I would trust or go with.
These are persisting scamming b....... and basically because they rang twice in less than five miuetes, I had to be my usual pleasant self and tell them to f...off and don't call again. It's time the trading standards lot got to grips with the like of this crap and got them shut down.
Be warned you old dears or people that have elderly that are easily sucked in. TELL THEM to remember this outfits name and put the phone down.
Rubbish, lack of communication, offer a call back service and never follow it up, wouldn't recomend.
I was one of the many recipients of True Telecom's _illegal_ cold marketing calls. Both at home (TPS listed) and at work - where they sequentially dialled a large number of our DDI numbers.
True Telecom was placed into Administration in November 2017, due to pending litigation from HMRC (not paying VAT and other taxes, very naughty)
The company was fined UKP300,000 in November 2017 by the UK telecommunications regulator (OFCOM) for illegal cold calling practices (Withholding caller ID amongst other thing), "slamming" - taking an account without customer consent. Illegally tying customers into contracts longer than 24 months and imposing illegal (and very high) early termination fees.
On 11 September 2017, The company was fined UKP80,000 by the UK Information commisioners' office (ICO) for illegal cold calling practices, including passing themselves off as "Openreach" and breaching do not call lists. It was issued with an enforcement notice as well. This followed 2 years of persistent illegal activity subsequent to being given formal warnings in 2015 for the same offences.
That is only the most recent of the ICO fines. In March 2017 It was prosecuted and found guilty in Medway Magistrates' Court for the offence of processing personal data without having an entry in the register maintained by the Information Commissioner.
The company failed to file accounts in 2017 and in October 2015 only narrowly avoided compulsory striking off over failure to file accounts.
The company and its principals have LARGE numbers of complaints against them in various media.
There are reports that the company has already been resurrected in another guise. I advise people to beware of anything involving the Director and/or Sales Manager (who has been alleged to be acting in a directorial capacity at times whilst a probhibited person)
I ran across this wee gem whilst researching their activities - True Telecom served a legal notice on Google in January 2017 in an apparent attempt to block negative coverage - it's on the lumendatabase as notice 13776806 - as a result of this notice, Google has removed a number of search results.
EDIT: TrueTelecom have attempted to get this review shut down. I have notified both Ofcom and the ICO of that fact.
I was at the receiving end of a high pressure sale calls, and although I am wary of these sort of calls, I signed up when I was reassured that True Telecom would give me a better deal that BT. I rue the day I signed up, They are a complete shambles and their customer service dept was truly awful. Then I got a letter 6 months later signed by TrueTelecom CEO and the CEO of Chess ict, advising me that Chess would take over my account on 1 July. My direct debit was cancelled and I was given an account number by Chess and I set up a direct debit with them. I didn't hear further from TT but I was not receiving any invoices from Chess. I followed this up and I discovered that TT had refused to transfer my line to Chess. Meanwhile, I had a much better deal from Chess including free all day calls to UK landlines, thinking I was with Chess, I made numerous calls during the day. Now I am faced with charges from TT for using my phone at times that were not on my original contract.
Fortunately my contract runs out in a months time but I am tempted to complain about True Telecom with Oftel.
I warn anybody that is thinking of signing up with TT, you will regret it.
Cold called my partner and tricked him into signing us up with the promise of cheaper rates. We've just receive our first bill which came to over £90 - definitely not cheaper! Currently looking into ways to leave without paying their extortionate fees! Absolutely furious
My elderly father was cold called by someone 'working on behalf of BT' in June 17. Awful miss selling of a 3 year business contract to a vulnerable adult living on his own on a pension. High bills followed by a move to True Chess ict. His internet has never worked since. They have quoted £140 for an engineer visit. I am taking a day of work to sort and will be making a complaint to Oftel if this is not resolved tomorrow. Interesting that the companies seem to have a similar name.

We took out two business mobile lines with True, 2 1/2 years ago.
In all the time we've been wth them it's been nothing but problems with the billing, being constantly over charged.
I've lost count of how many calls have been made and always fobbed off with 'we'll look into it' or 'we'll open an investigation' to hear nothing further and no change.
Every month the bill shows call charges of upto £80 (on an unlimited calls contract) but on querying this am told that it's not calls but data but they log it as call charges on their bills...
Started off with 2GB of data which then got changed to 5GB and by some amazement apparently still going over by roughly the same amount most months, this is still logged as call charges and still on our bills as 2GB of data too but according to their staff the number on the bill doesn't mean anything....?!
I've also asked time after time for itemised bills which I have not once received. And had a number payment taken from my account before bills have even been received.
I emailed on September as calls get nowhere and 14 days was given for a reply. That time period has nonpassed and not only have they not replyied fully, they haven't even bothered to acknowledge the emails.
Edit in response to Trues reply:
A phone call received 3 minutes after their reply on here, please note the fob off on their reply for the fluctuating bills, however on the phone, minutes after the reply I was (yet again) told it will be looked into to see why it fluctuates so much... confused as here you seem to know.
Also a bit baffles as an no international messages have been sent!
Still no show of itemised bills, and a list of all your charges would be handy too.

Clicked on one star as it seems I can't give them a Zero (which they deserve). A truly awful business, judging by there their rep's that cold call you and try to use every 'trick in the book' to get you into a contract you didn't want. Unbeleivably pushy, who see it pefectly acceptable to harass and insult you if you should dare say I would like to go away and consider their proposal. In the end, politely suggested the Rep should go on a course to know how to treat potential customers and get their business. Had a stern reply 'I don't need to go on any course'.....
Can't beleive they still have this attitude after being fined £85,000
2 weeks earlier for bad practice. My advice is 'avoid like the plague'.
Perhaps if they put the polite, clever people that answer the reveiws with respect, on the phone, instead of the aggresive sales people they seem to like to use, they might have a chance of improving their image.

AVOID
Cold callers of the worst variety, adopt stupid age old tactics to try to con people into saving a few quid per month. Please read other reviews of not so savvy victims.

My own experience of this company started when I was cold called illegally by them despite being registered with the TPS. The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has just (11 Sept 2017) fined them £85,000 for making illegal nuisance calls. They have also just been fined £300,000 by OFCOM for ‘slamming' and other dodgy practices. They are now in administration and someone is attempting to remove bad reviews from Google and Trustpilot. There have been several damning articles in national newspapers about them too.
Update after response from True Telecom:
When you say 'technical issue with our TPS process' do you mean 'we just used to ignore the TPS and hope for the best?'
You also make no mention of the OFCOM investigation into 'slamming' and other similar practices. Nor do you mention the articles in the Daily Mail and Daily Express. Headlines “Elderly cold called into expensive phone deals before being hit with eye watering cancellation fees' and “True Telecom ‘truly made life a misery for me’ says retired home owner who ..tried to escape a contract he had not agreed to’
True Telecom you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Polite and persistent, but salesman must think I'm stupid.
Edit - you have my name and number - you called it twice yesterday! I have no intention to contact you, why would I? I am happy with BT. I don't buy anything from cold callers and why call from a with held number?
03.10.17 - edit, I asked True Telecom why they call and with hold the number - reply in full,
Good Afternoon Mr Evenden,
Having sought advice from my IT team, due to us sharing a serviced office with a bank (HSBC) the building managers have insisted that outbound calls come from a withheld number.
However, a recent upgrade of our dialling system which is due to be installed next month, has satisfied the building managers concerns and will mean that all calls from our services will display a number which can also be used to return any calls
Kind Regards,
True Telecom Feedback

recently tricked my elderly mother into changing to them under the guise that they would be so much cheaper than BT this has turned out to be completely untrue 48.99 a month for internet!
9 line rental plus calls is unfortunately not cheaper than BT.
untrustworthy company will be changing back asap.
