A brilliant institution - always evolving and always good…
I have been a member for many years and have learned about wine from the publications; have bought a variety of new bottles ( the light Lanzarote red this time) and have always been pleased with the selections that arrive and with the delivery service - but only on Society vans- who deliver to my flat door.

I’ve been buying from them for years!
I’ve been buying from them for years. Really great service and excellent, quality wines combined with perfectly reasonable prices - a different league to what’s on offer at the supermarket. Plus delivery is always on time and reliable. I genuinely can’t fault them.

No delivery
I arranged delivery on Wednesday as I was at home all day. My delivery did not arrive, so I rearranged for today and received notification that it was due between 11.58-12.58. It still has not arrived (16:00 hours). I realise that this is the courier and not the wine society, but you need to know that they have let you down. I have contacted the courier but have not had a helpful response.

Wines for every occasion and taste
I use the Wine Society to buy most of my wines. They always have good offers including focuses on particular regions or types of wine. Their mixed cases are excellent for trying a range and then selecting what you like best. I also buy wine en primeur through the society and store it in their cellars until it is ready to drink. There are no charges for delivery and prices are always at a very competitive rate. Every wine is reviewed by one of their experts so you can select to meet your own tastes. I would recommend the Wine Society to anyone who wants good quality wines at competitive prices.

Unacceptable delivery by carrier
I have no issue with the wine ordered but the delivery by The Wine Society’s carrier was appalling.
Six boxes of wine, including a bottle of Champagne, were delivered whilst I was out and left outside of the front door in full view of passers by. It was raining heavily and by the time I arrived home all the boxes were saturated and had disintegrated with several bottles rolling around on the ground soaking wet. The boxes could easily have been left under the carport in the dry and out of view. The wines were presents for people but without the boxes I am now faced with a problem as to how they can be packaged and delivered safely.
I did inform the Wine Society by telephone about this issue but apart from an apology received nothing else in compensation for this quite unacceptable delivery.
I am an extremely unhappy customer!
