Disappointing check-in experience. We felt quite ignored when we arrived. We weren’t shown where our room was or given any information about the hotel or its facilities. We were basically handed the key and left to figure everything out ourselves. A little more attention and a proper welcome would have made a big difference.
Imagine your perfectly planned Irish getaway to Kilronan Castle. Then you arrive on a 11 degree day and discover the heat in your “suite” is broken! Then on day 2 the maid steals your wife’s diamond earrings. We had to call the police and leave immediately. Such a terrible experience and such a terrible hotel. It’s run down, poorly managed, and poorly maintained. I wouldn’t recommend this place to an enemy. I’m sure the positive reviews were bought and paid for!
