Sports center selling ultra processed foods!
After the climbing facility closes down, the center might as well shut down (or at least change the name, as they no longer deserve it).
The center is dirty and smelly, cafe is full to brims with ultra processed foods (makes you gag as soon as you enter), parking is always an issue.
Everyone Active is only interested in making money.

Horfield Leisure…
I have been attending Horfield Leisure Centre for over a year and am absolutely thrilled that I joined. The centre had recently had its refurbishment when I signed up and it has a very impressive range of facilities in the gym.
Joining a gym can often feel quite intimidating, but Horfield is very inclusive and there is a hugely diverse clientele, with a mixture of abilities and the staff are friendly, very knowledgeable and happy to gently push you out of your comfort zone if you sign up for the classes.
There is a very good range of classes across the day, with some so popular that it can be tricky to get a place on (you do need to be quite organised). But if you are short of time, the “EA30” classes will get your heart-rate up and give you a work out in just 30 minutes and is great for all abilities as you can work at your own pace/ability.
And for recovery, the new Rejuvenation and Breathwork classes are a lovely wind-down.
I would like to give a shout out to the trainers who have supported me and taken me out of my comfort zone and helped me to feel fitter and stronger: Sally, Jess, Ollie & Geo!

Disgusting treatment of the people and clubs of Daventry
The way this organisation has treated clubs and sports players in Daventry to sneak through a soft play to replace half of the sports hall is disgusting. No consultatation. Clubs that have been operating for 30 years and bringing people together canceled with no notice and nowhere else to go.
This soft play is not needed in Daventry and they cannot even keep the floor clean so the softplay will be a disgusting in weeks.
The perfect place to keep fit and healthy.
As soon as I entered Houghton Regis community centre, Everyone Active. I was greeted with a smile at reception. The building is so modern and the atmosphere there I feel great.
I would recommend this centre to everyone. And my friends and family. It's different to any place I have experienced. The brand new building, brand new Technogym equipment in the gym and a great pool inside.
I have settled in and straight away I know I want to continue my training here.
Thank you so much to all the staff that made me feel welcome.
Everyone should join, Everyone Active.
Dirty
I like the sauna and classes but the gym and especially the changing rooms are extremely dirty. Hairs everywhere, sinks blocked toilets blocked shower rooms with dirty floors, hair and smudges and a growing fly problem. Really puts me off. Management does not care.

I would avoid a Saturday morning if wanting a swim, the lanes are overcrowded even though it’s a booking system, which you think would eliminate that problem. You should only have a maximum of four people lane.
The water is filthy, cloudy, bits on the bottom, slightly salty? That people sweat.
Some person thought it was a great idea to put the shoe rack right in front of the hairdryers so you can’t get to the counter, you have to lean over the shoe racks, trying to dry your hair as people are trying to get their shoes from underneath you…
I used to be a member of the gym, and left because that was crap a few years ago… Unfortunately things haven’t changed /improved
Avoid if you want relaxation
I traveled over 2 hours and stayed in a hotel specifically to use the hydrotherapy pool here to manage a chronic health condition (fibromyalgia). I was incredibly disappointed by the lack of transparency and the poor management.
The Highlights of a Failed Day:
• No Hot Water: Upon arrival, a notice stated that there was no hot water due to "planned maintenance." This meant the hydro pool—the main reason for my visit—was freezing and unusable.
• Lack of Disclosure: I received a call from the spa only yesterday to pay a £30 "peak day" supplement. Not once during that call was I informed that the facilities would be compromised today, despite the maintenance being "planned."
• Overcrowded & Unprofessional: The spa was over-capacity with more people than beds. There was zero enforcement of the "no mobile phone" policy, with guests using phones in the spa area, making the environment uncomfortable and far from "relaxing."
• Service Issues: We were told to give 30 minutes' notice for food, yet when we tried to order before our 25-minute treatment, staff refused to take the order, leading to a confusing and frustrating experience.
Taking a "peak day" surcharge while knowing the primary facility is out of service is unacceptable. This was not a luxury experience; it was a stressful waste of time and money. I have raised a formal complaint and expect a full refund.
Good gym

I am extremely disappointed with the swimming lessons at Eclipse Leisure Centre. My son has been attending for the past 4 years, and unbelievably, he is still stuck at Stage 1. This is completely unacceptable.
Over the years, I have repeatedly raised concerns with the staff, but I keep getting the same vague response — “he is improving.” After four years, there should be clear, measurable progress, not excuses. It feels like there is no structured teaching, no proper assessment, and no real effort to help children move forward.
A swimming programme should build skills, confidence, and progression. Instead, this has been a frustrating and disappointing experience with no visible results despite years of attendance and payment.
I would not recommend these lessons to any parent who genuinely wants their child to learn how to swim and progress properly. This has been a complete waste of time and money.
After over a year of training here
After over a year of training here,
I’ve come to realise that what really sets this gym apart isn’t just the equipment or the space, it’s the people behind the desk and on the floor.
The staff are the constant heartbeat of the place. Every single day, no matter how busy or challenging things might be behind the scenes, they show up as the friendly, welcoming faces that keep the whole environment positive and motivating. It’s easy to take that for granted when you’re just coming in for a workout or a class but that consistency, energy, and professionalism takes real effort.
They’re not just checking people in or answering questions, they’re managing a lot more than most of us see, all while making everyone feel comfortable, supported, and part of something. That kind of atmosphere doesn’t happen by accident.
It’s one of the main reasons I’ve stayed for so long, and why I’d recommend this gym to anyone. The people here genuinely make a difference.
Brilliant customer service …
Brilliant customer service from William Ramsey today. He sorted out the issues I was having with curtesy and incredible patience.
Great venue and staff
Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience! The staff were absolutely amazing—even on a very busy Saturday, they went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. The party was seamless, and both the kids and adults received their food right on time. The room and venue were spotless, which made everything even more enjoyable. The speaker worked really well too, which added to the great atmosphere.
Good Pool, helpful staff.
Haven’t used the pool in a few years & I Tried to download the app, but wasn't very successful. So, rung up and spoke to a lovely lady who explained she would help me when I visited the next day … and she did. Everything now sorted .
I’ve only visited 3 times so far, but thoroughly enjoy it . The pool is Always clean , with plenty of available lockers . Just wish there were stools like I remember there to be near the hairdryers. I’m waiting for a knee operation & standing for too long to dry my hair can be uncomfortable.
The opportunity to look online & see when I would like to go is a great help .
Hope to continue going even after my knee op .

More than a place of exercise
I'd like to say something positive about the staff at the wellington sports centre ,the last few months have been hard losing Dale a staff member unexpectedly, some staff leaving ,some poorly so moral has appeared not as it has been but I believe it's beginning to be restored as it has been ,a fun happy place to go to , this morning when I arrived Brad was laughing and chatting with a older regular swim member who has a coffee after his swim and I very often see this abd it just made me smile and made me think this place is more than a exercise centre so well done guys keep it up!
