I would strongly advise anyone considering taking out a policy with this company to think very carefully and make sure they fully understand exactly what they are buying.
My experience has left me extremely disappointed, particularly with what I believe was a lack of integrity and transparency when the policy was sold to me. I feel that the policy was mis-sold, and when I subsequently needed to rely on the cover, I found myself having to challenge the decision and raise concerns about how the policy had originally been presented to me.
The communication has also been incredibly frustrating. It appears that every correspondence takes a profound amount of time, which makes an already stressful situation even more difficult. I have now been waiting over two weeks for an outcome, only to be told that my concerns have been passed between different departments.
For me, an insurance company should provide clear information when selling a policy and then be there to support its customers when they actually need to make a claim. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.
Very disappointing experience and, based on my experience so far, I would not use this company again.

We were very sad to read your review. As you may appreciate, we do work hard to avoid negative scores or comments as they are incredibly detrimental to us.
I understand that our team member Steve called you to run through the explanation regarding your particular situation and how the adequate cover was not added as required upon your purchase of travel insurance with us. Although we have a very thorough cover available, if you require a specific protection, you must ensure your particular policy is valid for this. As in this case, that any extra cover has been added.
Again and as you state, this is the reason that we do ask that all our clients read and understand the policy wording to ensure it is correct for their needs. Compare the Market also urges you to read the policy wording and IPID document. Both of which contained the information required relating to the additional package which needed to be added to your policy to ensure it was valid.
We have called again today to confirm if you wished to escalate a complaint based on your comments. Please do get in touch if you wish to proceed with that.
