I’ve been contacting The Rake for the…

I’ve been contacting The Rake for the last three months about the disappearance of the print magazine. Their responses have been laughable. One excuse after another, but promise after promise that it will be back on the news stands soon. Hasn’t happened.

Let’s be clear here

Let’s be clear. The Rake online customer service is practically non-existent. My repeated attempts to establish tracking status for an order failed since the online customer service failed to reply to my repeated inquiries. Freya, however, finally got back to me and was very responsive, courteous, professional and helped turn things around. Thank you Freya for salvaging what was a terribly poor customer experience to begin with, which I would rate zero, but Freya five stars. Businesses only do well because of employees like Freya.

Online store

I have not ordered in recent times but, when I last ordered, I did so quite frequently and service and products were brilliant. Faultless. I'm saddened though to see that The Rake has barely any stock of clothing, shoes or accessories online at the moment and the category selections yield no results, whereas the search function does. Eg. If I choose "ties" from the accessories page, no results show but, if I search "ties" one or two come up. Is the online store closing, awaiting new stock, etc? Would be very sad if the former.

Five star customer service for my latest purchase

After having a few disappointing experiences with TheRake I have to say that they made up for it. After paying full price for an item by mistake they kindly and promptly refunded me the difference without any questions. They also provided me with regular and accurate information about the items I purchased. I am not sure if they will trade with clothes online again but if they do and offer this kind of service on every order I am back shopping with them again.
