Total Disbelief.

I am so tired by all this it’s untrue. I am currently in hospital very unwell and have already had 2 life saving operations in last 4 weeks whilst I await a transplant so bear in mind I am quite down at the moment and could do without hassle.

I was sceptical regarding Shein but a friend said they were good and I tried them. At first I found them to be fab, any issues were dealt with quickly and effectively.

They offered a ‘game’ and winning got you 6 x free gifts, not 3 deffo 6. I ordered a few bits which enabled me to get free gifts. I chose virtually all camping kit with free gifts. The reason I wanted camping gear is that we are planning a charity walk and events and accommodation will be camping. This was great as I had got some good gifts that will be helpful for event and save more money we can do for liver trust.

I checked my order tracking and it showed what I had paid for ( I remember a lock picking tool and a 10 litre, yellow dry bag were amongst the order, but I don’t know order number. As previously mentioned I only made up an order to get the free gifts. No gifts -no order, simple. Still I had no real concerns as Shein had always sorted the issue out quickly and effectively.. a couple of weeks passed and I contacted Shein to check all ok. It was as though it was a different company. Trying to speak with a human is suddenly hard, easy before. The robot thing is the worst one I have ever come across, is totally pointless, as I previously trusted Shein I did not screen shot all of this or note order number. Until 3 days ago I could see my complaints and order. Shein made me feel like I was a liar and crazy basically. It was so completely not what I expected. Now miraculously I cannot see any conversation history or order history so I don’t have a leg to stand on. I am not a huge customer but have spent a few hundred at Shein so also a good customer.

I cannot believe they have chosen to completely blank this. I am fuming with anger at the way I have been treated by Shein. To add insult to injury after I asked them to come up with a resolution or return money for the order I only made to get free gifts. The order had not been sent when I asked but they did not even have the decency to do that. Now, I feel super miserable in hospital, an orderi don’t want unless you honour the gifts, money spent I asked them to return it if they continued being difficult.(not done).

Pls NEVER use this company, Temu are fab in comparison. I cannot believe they feel they can bully people, take their money but not honour free gifts instead making out I am lying. Pls either do the right thing and honour what you advertised, return the money as asked and a ‘sorry’ for all the trouble and stress you are causing. As I am ill I am currently on benefits thus not loads to waste. I really entered into this for gifts and you take their little bit and then ignore everything.

I hope someone makes contact with me and we resolution ( Nick Cousins - 07597578798 so no reason not to call and explain but I have no faith you will.

Update on my case. 19th Feb, having left a review expressing my disgust at my treatment I have heard NOTHING from them, no apology, no speaking to someone absolutely nothing. I would have expected some response but Nothing.it is hard to believe that’s company think this is an acceptable behaviour. I have been reading lots of other people’s comments and it makes me sad as I know the pain you have been through but trying to get resolution. Is impossible. I will never recommend them to anyone even an enemy as the whole experience has been so awful. That robot system is set to drive you mad, scrap it. Good luck to fellow victims of this joke of an outfit. Temu has its downsides but literally Shein are in a different degree of awful. I wish you all the best fellow sufferers!

Update on case 23rd Feb - As of now I have still heard NOTHING not even an e-mail. The sheer arrogance is amazing. I really do find it unbelievable they can do this. I even asked them if they were not prepared to do anything I wanted to cancel order relating to this issue, obviously they paid no heed took my money and fleeced me completely . Customer service is worst of any company I have ever dealt with. I genuinely hate them. I will NEVER use them again. I still await them to get in touch but have no faith.

Told them I'd contact my bank and do a Chargeback. It worked to recover my money

Recently purchased several small orders from Shein. As they were ordered close together I was able to combine returns from them. The return parcel was tracked back to them in November.
After waiting several weeks I raised a ticket. The reply was sympathetic but no real process on my refund.
This week I raised another ticket and told them that unless I received my refund I would be contacting my bank to carry out a Chargeback on my card against them. Guess what! Today I received my full refund. So if you have the same problem it might be worth trying.

have been a loyal SHEIN customer and I actually love the quality of their products. However, I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the refund process and customer service regarding my Order GSO1TA49S001FSE.
​I tried to return three items for which I paid £31.87 (net cash after discounts). To my shock, the system only offered a £17 refund, meaning they wanted to keep nearly £15 of my actual money. Even worse, for one item I returned in perfect condition, the refund was £0.00 due to a 'recalculation' error. This is completely unfair.
​I contacted customer service multiple times, and an agent named Michelle gave me generic, unhelpful responses. She completely ignored the evidence I provided. Because of this dismissive attitude and the unfair financial deductions, I have decided to return my entire order and I expect every penny of my money back.
​SHEIN, you have great clothes, but your customer support and refund logic are failing your customers. I am very angry and I will not recommend shopping here until this is fixed."

Bikini top sent instead of a Green…

Bikini top sent instead of a Green Ladies long sleeved shirt.
Both have the same number on the bag. I sent proof of deliver of the Bikini top but they refuse to believe me. The only way is to go to Small Claims Court as I refuse to pay for something, I can prove I did not receive through the photograph of the Bikini top.

You get what you pay for

I returned an item but they just keep sending the same request- I’m not convinced there are humans in customer service. I’ve sent Evri drop off receipts, tracking number, photo of the item and still no refund.
I have bought from them before and clothes are hit or miss. I send more back than keep as fabric is often poor quality and sizing is out even though I always check their size guide.
Great for cheap fast fashion but think twice before you buy- who are making these clothes that they can sell them so cheaply? And is this kind of fashion good for our planet? You might want to buy better quality, more expensive items that will actually last.

DO NOT ORDER from this company, not UK based at all. Kept receiving a lot of emails, finally got my order when I was on holiday.. not good quality, ill fitting, so tried to return it. But they closed my account, so complained, auto reply stating we will answer in 24hrs!!! I am still waiting two weeks later. I think their Business Model is not for continuous customers, just one visit customer. That is why no customer service number at all. Why are we letting these companies take over UK economy, running sweatshops, they should be banned TOTALLY. I am hoping to start a petition to do this, please sign it if you can.

They lost my parcel because it was left on the street by the delivery company they use and despite the photographic evidence of this they refused to refund me the money. I am determined they will pay for this loss and more since it's a disgrace that they refuse to recognise evidence so clear like a picture. Some useless customer service person named Victori who claimed to talk English concluded she was not sure if it was lost or not despite the pic showing the flower bed in the street where the parcel was left and the reflection in the glass door or the street and cars. Absolutely absurd. DO NOT TRUTST SEIN they are SCAM. I will be notifying as many people as i possibly can about this.

I have spent a lot of money with them and will now transfer my business to TEMU. Shein and Yodel very bad service

Yodel delivered to a different property then bombarded me with photo images of a different property. I asked them to send the driver to the correct address and they will see they have made a mistake. They should contact shein to activate refund but shein do the same no sorry it has been delivered. Yes to someone else. Thay even ask me for CCTV footage as evidence that noone came to my dorr at 5.55pm ..as if !! Shein made me feel like a thief.

I wonder why I can’t give no stars ! I came on here because usually Trustpilot gets a response from the company, but it’s clear nobody responds at all from SHEIN. The problems on here are the same as mine, order never arrives, despite numerous emails and texts and it’s always my fault “The courier couldn’t make entry” I live in a managed block of flats with a manager on site 24/7, I was at home on the three occasions it was apparently “attempted” I can open the door remotely but no one rang my door bell. SHEIN must make a fortune on orders that never arrives. No customer service, I spent a whole afterjust trying to access it, IMPOSSIBLE

Items missing, terrible cusomter service, violation of Consumer Rights Act 2015

Part of my order was not recieved, cusomer support has been disgusting.
I explained that the item had been left on the floor in the street (as per courier photos) and all I got back for weeks was the same generic emails sent over and over again asking for proof. Took weeks for someone to reply to my email.
I have sent proof (photos) that the courier did not leave it in the porch as stated, as I dont have 1, and proof of the parcels absence when I arrived home.
They now want more proof....how can you send proof of something that doesn't exist?

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, companies are responsible for making sure my order is delivered to me at my address or to an agreed alternative safe place. I did not agree to my order being left in an alternative place and I have not received it.

They have ignored this

Don't Order Large Items!

Ordered a dressing table chair from them. It came really quickly and was a good price. However, the chair had a small cut in the fabric. I sent a photo of the damage through their automated system, and they sent an Evri return label. The problem is that the box is too big to go via Evri, and they would not accept it. There appears to be no way to contact a real person, either through email, live chat, or telephone. There is a telephone number, but it just tells you 3 or 4 times they are really busy and to contact them another way (there aren't any) it then cuts you off. We are now stuck with a damaged chair that is impossible to return. This was the first and last time I will use Shein.

In all honesty, I wasn’t expecting to write this. I don’t usually leave reviews, especially not negative ones—I try to be patient, understanding, and give companies the benefit of the doubt. But after everything that’s happened over the past couple of weeks with Shein’s customer service, I feel like this story kind of writes itself. Not out of bitterness, but because I genuinely believe it needs to be told. Not just for myself, but because if this is how things are being handled regularly, something somewhere has definitely gone wrong.

It all started pretty simply. I placed an order, as usual. Nothing out of the ordinary—until I noticed something wasn’t quite right. The updates didn’t match, I was given inconsistent info about my package, and then… silence. I tried reaching out through their chat, but every time I managed to speak to someone (or their bot), I’d either get told to wait, get copy-paste answers, or the conversation would just abruptly end without anything being resolved. And I get it—people are busy, support teams are stretched—but what made it worse was the feeling that no one was really listening. Like I was talking to a wall dressed up like a help desk.

After multiple tries, tickets, and repeated explanations of the same situation, it honestly started to feel like I was going in circles. There’s something especially frustrating about putting time and effort into clearly explaining an issue, only to be met with vague responses like “we’ll get back to you shortly” or “thank you for your patience,” when nothing ever actually moves forward. I wasn't asking for miracles—I was just hoping for a straightforward resolution, or at the very least, an actual human response that acknowledged the situation fully.

There was also this odd inconsistency in how I was treated. If I took longer than a few minutes to reply, the chat would close, and I’d have to start again. But when I was waiting for answers? Sometimes hours. Sometimes days. No explanation, no status update. It felt weirdly one-sided. Like the system’s built in a way that just doesn’t accommodate normal people with normal lives. And again, I’m not expecting perfection. I understand things can get delayed, busy, whatever. But there’s a line between occasional hiccups and just straight-up poor service, and unfortunately, I feel like I crossed that line somewhere back in week one.

Now, what really gets me isn’t just the product issue or the lack of clear communication—it’s the emotional drain of trying to get something sorted, politely, patiently, only to be made to feel like I’m a nuisance for even following up. There’s a kind of disappointment that comes when you genuinely believe a company will make it right, and then... nothing. You keep checking, waiting, hoping someone on the other side is actually reading your message and not just hitting you with the same pre-written response again.

The impact isn’t just financial—though, yes, that too. It’s the time spent, the emotional toll, the growing sense that the responsibility for sorting this out has somehow landed entirely on me. And honestly, if you’ve ever been in this situation, you know how exhausting it is. I don’t think it’s too much to expect some form of ownership when things don’t go as planned. Not just in terms of product, but in the way a company supports the people who support them.

I’m not trying to drag anyone here. I’m still hoping Shein can take this situation seriously and reflect on how it was handled—not defensively, but openly. Because I still believe that a brand’s integrity isn’t tested when everything goes right—it’s revealed in how they handle things when they go wrong. And right now? I think there's a really clear path to making this right. A genuine, fair resolution that reflects not just the inconvenience I went through, but the missed opportunities to fix it along the way.

Maybe someone on their team will read this with fresh eyes. Maybe they’ll recognize that when a customer has to go through this much just to be heard, something deeper needs attention. And maybe—just maybe—they’ll realize that there’s one clear way to show that they’re paying attention now.
