Non-existent customer support

We're on a shared plan, and the server our emails are being sent from has been added to a spam block list. According to SendGrid all you need to do is notify them of this happening, and they'll request removal from the block list. Simple right?

I've had a ticket open for 2 weeks and have her to hear anything back at all. This means our customers haven't been receiving any of our transactional email for weeks now, and there's nothing we can do about it.

Absolutely ridiculous, their support is a joke - non-existent it seems.

Absolutely dreadful customer support.

Absolutely dreadful customer support.

All I want to do is upgrade and give them my money, but they don't turn up for the scheduled meeting and then do not reply to the email asking them why they didn't attend.

I've seriously never experienced something as comically bad.

Laughable.

SendGrid has the least efficient support

SendGrid has the least efficient support service. Customer with a pro plan, they surely can let a ticket open for more than 12 days open without any response. Moreover, you have to be very precise on each demand, because their first answers are often focused on something that is not the subject of your request. In fact real support is at level 2 or 3 expertise and you have to struggle many times in order to access a real valuable information.

Sendgrid support is atrocious

Sendgrid support is atrocious. We have send multiple support requests at really critical times for our business. We even had to shut one account and lost all our email templates. It is so crazy-making. They just don't care. Don't use them. Go elsewhere - Mailchimp is our next port of call.

Support is truly slow

Support is truly slow. A month to answer a question. Our account got locked without warning, they marked our ticket as solved and did not answer anything. Bad customer service in general.

More than 2 weeks ago I created support request with this information and they did nothing.
Recently I created another support request with same problem and they just merged it with previous. No solution, no support. Nothing. Worst support ever seen.

Unreliable partner, poor support

They suspended our service, which is core to our product, without contacting us to even let us know they were doing it. We had to contact support to find out what was going on. It took 48 hours from the time they suspended our service to get a resolution, meanwhile our tens of thousands of customers were impacted and our business was harmed. While I understand that they sometimes need to suspend service to ensure security requirements, that they didn't notify us was unfathomable and unacceptable. Their support team was evasive and refused to accept responsibility for the failure to notify us. We've moved our business elsewhere because you can't depend on a company with something this important if this is how they behave.

Easily the worst customer support I've ever experienced.

They suspended our account, giving no reason, and not even letting us know. We only found out when clients realised that they'd missed out on 250+ website leads over the previous few days.

We chatted to support, and created tickets. The only time someone responded to the ticket was when I complained on Twitter, and all they said was that "compliance were looking at it". Seems that compliance doesn't communicate with support.

Anyway, the account came back a week later - again, didn't even tell us! Still no response to the tickets. Basically a joke of a company - AVOID.

No answer from support in 2 weeks.

As everyone else here I haven't heard from support in a very, very long time. Don't waste your time, there are plenty of other options. Avoid at all costs.

And existing customers should secure their data asap. If they can't deliver support, will they be able to survive through the year..? I have my doubts.

Support is amazingly slow, you can wait for them response few days, no contacts or possibilities to solve issues.

They took about 3 weeks to approve our account, but finally did. Multiple emails to support just went unanswered, and one day I logged in to find we were approved for sending. Okay, fine, they didn't reply but I guess we got what we wanted to I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

Then 2 days after migrating our first set of transactional emails to sendgrid, which were just notifications to our existing users (~70 open rate, no spam obviously) all of a sudden our account has been deactivated. No explanation, no response from support - again. At this point I am convinced they don't actually have a support team.

So all in all, we wasted our time, and our customers missed out on important emails - thanks sendgrid. You have one job and you are terrible at it.

Avoid SendGrid at all cost - they should be barred from the internet

We've been using Sendgrid, to send out business critical emails to our customers for a couple of years, without problems,.

Since the beginning of this week emails have not been delivered, raised a support ticket but, surprisingly, no response.

Looked on Spamhouse and apparently our shared IP address has been compromised by a Nigerian spammer.

Tried to upgrade our subscription through our Azure portal so we get a new dedicated IP address but guess that doesn't work, hallo support!

This company is totally out of control and should be avoided at all cost.

If an IP is compromised proactive controls should be in place to issue a new IP address to all your customers that are using that IP.

If you want to charge for a static IP you should allow us to upgrade, if that IP is also compromised we should be able to get a new IP.

Companies should support their product.

SendGrid customers should leave an mass and change to another supplier.

I've also raised a ticket with Microsoft asking them why this company is allowed in the Market place or is available through the Azure portal, I believe there are rules to operate on the market place, these guys must be in breach.

Reading their reviews in Trust pilot is like a horror story, they have chosen not to improve, that’s just incredible.

Steer clear!

Truly terrible experience.

We've been using them for around 2 years without issue. The deliverability has taken a serious fall on their shared IP service, mainly as they are constantly black listed. This means we need to go from $20 per month to $102 to get a dedicated IP.

I tried contacting sales who gave me conflicting info, one saying we could have a dedicated IP on a bespoke plan, the other denying this.

We will now look into MailGun which would cost us $35 PM instead.

£5400 Invalid Traffic from AdSense? That will be SendGrid!

"Invalid Traffic - AdSense for Content" at around £1400 a month? That will be SendGrid being responsible for Google refunding advertisers on your sites!

"Invalid Traffic - AdSense for Content" was −£60 then −£183 and kept on getting worse.... −£476, -£588, −£438, −£868 then −£1,396 and finally −£1,388

SendGrid has a **negative reputation** with Google Adsense AND it gets a warning in Gmail.

This is very bad choice in my opinion

This platform was once okay at best (it really was never that great), but it based on my experience, it took a turn for the worst when they were acquired by Twillio. They are among the most expensive platforms out there. They don't reply to your support ticket and when their system went down, they didn't apologize or keep us properly posted on the status. Also we had two emails going out hours apart, their system was down during the times they were supposed to be sent. When their system came up, they sent both emails at once. They did not prompt their users or anything. Then to top it off, when Twillio acquired them, they constantly sent daily emails pushing Twillio products. I had to speak up to get them to stop that. In my opinion, this is not only a poorly managed company, it's just not a good company at all. Then I got a rate increase and to add insult to injury, a few months later, they added on a tax that we they previously paid and are now passing on to their customer (two rate increase on their already expensive platform in one year) My firm is moving on, their service and conduct is so unacceptable and I will not tolerate the sheer amount of disrespect they have for their users. I highly recommend staying away, I think it's kind of like being in a toxic and abusive relationship.

Shocking company stay well away

Shocking company stay well away. Their support is outrageous and they have absolutely no care in the world for their customers.

Just a tip to anyone out there, if you want to use their API for sending emails, don't bother with their essentials plan, you've got to pay £100 for their pro plan with dedicated IPs.

Absolute rip off so I've gone with Mailgun. Much more affordable and their customer service is AMAZING!
