I ordered a UK pressing EX/EX and received DE, twice in a row.
I ordered a UK pressing EX/EX (K 54043) of Fleetwood Mac – Fleetwood Mac (1975).
Instead, I received a German pressing — clearly identifiable by the German-printed sleeve, GEMA/BIEM labels, and Alsdorf matrix.
After returning it, I placed the order again for a NM/NM version. Unfortunately, the exact same mistake happened a second time: once again a German pressing was supplied instead of the UK version ordered.
To RecordSale’s credit, the return was handled correctly and a return label was provided. However, the support response did not acknowledge that this error occurred twice, nor did it address why UK and German pressings are being confused.
For general purchases, RecordSale may be fine. But if you are a collector ordering specific pressings or variants, be aware that accuracy here appears to be an issue.
Update 2025-12-31:
After contacting customer support, I received a response, but unfortunately it was identical to the response I received after the first incorrect delivery.
(.... Sometimes these things just happen. Due to the large amount of records, that are being processed every single day (almost 20.000 per week), we unfortunately can't avoid that completely ....)
The issue of repeatedly receiving a German pressing while ordering a UK pressing was not addressed specifically.
While returns are handled correctly, the underlying problem seems to be inaccurate listings. For collectors, this matters.

I'm updating my rating in December 2025 after my recent experience with these purchases. I don't think they deserve more than 3 stars.
When I discovered recordsale-de, I was struck by its stock of over a million records.
I decided to place my first order about four years ago, and my initial experience was relatively good (much better than with Spanish stores), but over time, it has gradually improved.
In general, the record catalogs are fairly accurate to what you're looking for, although you may encounter unpleasant surprises if you receive an NM record in VG condition, for example.
The best thing is that once you receive your order, they send you a survey so you can indicate whether it was in the indicated condition, both regarding the sleeve and the vinyl.
If you wish to return a record or records, recordsale-de provides you with the label, and you don't have to pay anything.
Once they receive the package (in approximately three days), they will refund you the next day.
I would prefer that when a record isn't in the indicated condition, they send me one that is after returning the defective one, but that's something that isn't considered. I imagine the high volume of stock, orders, etc. doesn't allow for that.
So if you want to get that record you're looking for in the best possible condition, you'll have to place another order. Fortunately, the shipping cost is €7.90, regardless of the records you buy.
Free shipping wouldn't hurt if you reach a stipulated amount...
Customer service is good, as the employees are friendly and respond within a day at the most. It's true that some employees are quite cold and terse in their responses, but let's not forget that we're talking about Germans. Personally, I prefer fewer pleasantries and more efficiency, which is what recordsale-de offers.
As I've told you on several occasions, you should categorize the records more accurately. To do this, they need qualified people who, by looking at a record, determine whether it's in the condition described, something that's a simple task for someone who deals with this daily.
This would prevent many returns and make buyers more satisfied, as there's nothing worse than receiving a record you're eager to hear, only for it to arrive in poor condition.
But hey, that's the world of secondhand vinyl...
How Recordsale.de handles a problem...
I ordered two vinyls from recordsale.de , but something went wrong: I received a cheaper version of one of them, but their system charged the price of the one I originally had indicated. They spontaneously offered me the choice between a returnlabel or to refund the difference...an example for many sites as how you can treat a customer
Rare album at a good price.
I purchased a rare album and had it delivered to Australia from Germany. I was worried about the process as the record was over $800aud and a collectable. It turned up as described and undamaged. The shipping process was a little lengthy, but I'll accept it as the end result was very good. Thank you!

BEWARE! will refund for no reason and then your screwed!
UPDATE (7/30/25): Quick update all emails have gone unanswered. Last email gave them until this Friday (8/1) to reply or actions will be taken. Dropped to 1 star due to all of this hassle.
UPDATE (7/28/25): I received the package today and everything in the box was completely destroyed thanks to DHL's mistreatment of the package. It was repackaged after it was majorly damaged by DHL's machinery and then the contents were run over (several of the vinyl have gravel embedded in it). I have sent recordsale.de and email and I'm waiting for a response.
UPDATE (7/25/25):Contacted recordsale.de multiple times with almost the same responses of "it's on track for delivery" & "Should anything go wrong in transit, you're fully covered" every time. It has gone from "it will be delivered by the end of this week (7/20)" to "it will be delivered by the end of the month". They finally acknowledged that "Still, it’s unusual that there’s been no update since July 11, so I’ll follow up with DHL to clarify" and have filed an official transit inquiry with DHL to get more detailed information on the delay. This isn't looking good!
UPDATE (7/17/25): Over 1 week later and the aircraft that my "package" is on US soil (landed at Logan International airport on 7/11/25) but has been at this status for almost a week now with no movement. I even contacted USPS and they are saying that it hasn't left Germany yet.
UPDATE (7/9/25): Finally received an email with the tracking information. In "past orders" on their website it still shows "refunded, never shipped" which might be a problem if anything is damaged or not in playable condition when it arrives. I'll keep updating as more information comes in. Raised to 2 stars in face of the new information
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I placed an order on their website for 507,54€ (that is over $650 for the US where I live) and I asked a question via email about 2 of the items (2 copies of the same item) with their exact response of "We're sorry to hear that we have made a mistake with your order." and that they will refund the amount of the item (not sure which item but I will get to that!). During this time I get an email confirmation about 2 hours after the "refund" email saying that the items were shipped (by this time I still haven't received the refund yet) but no tracking information in the email or the order details on their site. During this time I sent them 2 more emails telling them 1) I was just asking a question about the items and wasn't saying there was any mistakes made and 2) where is the tracking information for the package that was marked as shipped. The next day I get a notice from paypal of a refund of 8€ which is the total amount of BOTH items that I only asked a question about and now on their website the order is marked "Order status: refunded & never shipped" where there is still a total of 56 items I ordered and now saying was never shipped! I have sent multiple emails with no response back for any of them. I have bought from them on Discogs and they were a great seller there but this is complete and utter BS! If I don't hear back from them in the next 3 days I will be looking into disputing the charges with paypal but if they do contact me I will update/change this review to reflect their response to these issues.

Don't buy records from this seller if you don't want to get on your nerves later with a refund request and run to the post office to return the order. Don't go near them!
I made 2 orders on this site and both were very overgraded and accordingly overpriced. I returned one order completely for the other, I got a 50% refund, now I don't know what to do with this garbage. Yes, this site sells garbage, if you see the description NM, at best you will get VG+ or worse. All the records (5 pieces) that I received were described as NM\NM (record\sleeve), I received VG+\VG and two records were scratched and with a crack from an impact, i.e. completely unusable. In addition, all the records arrived terribly dirty, they really need to be washed from dirt, and only then cleaned in a vacuum machine, it's just a shame!
