scammy, no renewal warning

No auto-renewal warning and auto-renew is always on by default. Make sure you put a calendar event or some other time-based reminder to cancel.

Yes, it's not illegal, and you got my $99, parallels, but you will never have my business again. Ever.

Dont use Parallels for games

If you want to use Parallels for games dont. I figured this out the expensive way after buying Windows and Parallel only to find out that the larger game companies Block Virtual Machines. Including Riot, Epic and Steam. I feel like iv been scammed

No Subscription Payment warning

Paid for and downloaded but then realised it did not do what I wanted, no complaints there but then a year later they renewed the subscription with no warning that the money was being taken from my account and with no chance to opt-out. Watch the subscription renewals.

Problematic - not worth the time wastedz

I have had nothing but problems with Parallels on my Mac.

I had it years back and trying to connect it to machines or even external webcams or anything like that is hit and miss.

I bought it again last month hoping it’s probably improved.

No such luck. Completely crashed halfway through using it to run my software to operate a machine, couldn’t us my mouse. Telling me to press Ctrl+del which unlocked the mouse, but as soon as I clicked again it was locked. Then after 5 mins of trying to fix it, black screen of death appeared and it crashed. Lost all my software and I am struggling to fix all the problems it caused by trying to retrieve my expensive software.

No option to speak to anyone. I subscribed to an expensive package to have support 24/7 😂 What a joke. It just takes you to a community forum to ask the public. Its like the blind leading the blind. Support never replies and when it does it’s generic and unhelpful.

It is easier to buy a Windows computer. Don’t even bother with this.

Cancel suscription and refund

I encountered significant difficulties accessing my account on the Parallels website when attempting to cancel my subscription. I invested hours across different days, only to realize that I might have inadvertently paid for a yearly subscription, as I couldn't locate any subscription details in my Parallels account.

Just a few days ago, I received a PayPal receipt for 600 Swedish crowns, despite not actively using Parallels due to compatibility issues with my Mac. I've switched to using a PC instead. The frustration is compounded by the fact that I haven't received a response from Parallels yet.

I'm eager to resolve this situation promptly. A refund would be greatly appreciated, along with the closure of the seemingly elusive subscription that I can't locate anywhere in my account. At this point, I feel deceived and quite helpless. Your prompt attention to this matter would be highly valued.

Just upgraded to MacOS Ventura...

Just upgraded to MacOS Ventura. Parallels started fine and asks, if I would like an update. Fine! I thought....
No word that this is a new version and that I have to pay. Took me half an hour to get back my old version.
This is called a "rip off" in english, I think!

Useless

I downloaded this software because it said it was able to run video games. My laptop met the specifications required, but the games ran so poorly that I think I would rather have tried on a microwave. Waste of hours of set-up, especially for the cost.

Simply Goated 🐐

I had this product for a year and it did wonders for me and my Mac. It was able to smoothly run Windows 11 and I didn’t run into any problems along the way. I unfortunately have to stop the subscription due to getting myself an actual PC desktop so now I’ll rarely go on my Mac. I would totally recommend this product to anyone who is looking to get Windows for their Mac product(s)!

I wanted to use Rocky Linux.

The user mentioned that they were extremely disappointed that they couldn't use Red Hat-based Linux distributions like CentOS or Rocky Linux, even though they had a great user experience. They requested a refund for their current purchase because it didn't suit their needs, but mentioned that they would consider buying again if support for those distributions became available. Here's the English translation:

"The user's experience was fantastic in terms of usability, but it's incredibly disappointing that Red Hat-based Linux distributions like CentOS or Rocky Linux are not supported. They were able to obtain a refund for their current purchase since it didn't align with their usage requirements. However, they mentioned that they would definitely consider making a purchase in the future if these distributions become compatible."

Don’t buy

Bought a permanent license and paid a bit of a higher price. Apple brings out a new upgrade and then Parallels want to try and rip users off for another $99. Use crossover instead. Customer service (Adeeb) didn’t help much either, no understanding. Just happy to try and rip users off. Acted surprised that Apple brought out a new upgrade of OSX, then just blamed Apple and threw them under the bus.

Efficient and dedicated technical support; deceptive headquarters website

Parallels customer support was able to solve the installation problem of updates on Mac with OS Monterey through a remote session. I was impressed by the skill and friendliness of the Parallels expert. He and his colleagues followed closely the functionality of Parallels on my desktop.
At the same time, criticize the conduct of the company's headquarters as displayed on its website. It shows a telephone number for contact and provides a form to submit feedback. Neither work. This is a deliberate deception and a blatant disrespect of customers.

Higher price after 25% discount...

I did a free trial, I liked the app, but the price (advertised as starting at $ 99) seemed to expensive to me.
I didn't buy it.
I received an email after the trial period expired, saying I can fill a survey and get 25% off.
I did fill the survey, received an email with the discount, clicked on buy now and the scam showed up!
The price went up to $ 144, $ 110 after discount.
Of course I didn't buy it and I won't in the future.
I thought this was a serious company, but they are a joke

Parallels runs Windows 11 but DOES NOT…

Parallels runs Windows 11 but DOES NOT RUN .NET 6!! So can not run many current applications. I purchased the "pro" level license. I DID NOT RENEW. I have run into heaps of problems and the support is 95% abysmal. Utterly maddening! This product is grossly overpriced. You are better off purchasing an inexpensive windows machine because it will meet any needs that you have in computing power that you would get from running windows on parallels. the search function of their data base makes it almost useless. Contacting support generates a regurgitation email where they request the information that you already gave them. After dozens of attempts to contact their support I did get one person that was helpful. I am not sure how it is that they have a Gmbh?? I have never had a German or Austrian person reply, ever. The support people are not English or German speakers.

they don't want to solve anything

they don't want to solve anything, they just insist on buying another license for a new product, where the old license is perpetual and it doesn't work! I really do not recommend this company, it's a waste of your money and monthly nerves

Mediocre product that didnt work with…

Mediocre product that didnt work with Excel
So I contacted support who were so slow to respond, then came back with a generic, unhelpful response

I'm so glad I was only on the trial version, with this level of support while on a trial, I'm not sure how they can expect someone to purchase!

I made it clear I was on the trial, no effort made to resolve my issue and no follow up response to my query!

Poor service

Parallels is an excellent product

Parallels is an excellent product, and it really functions well with responsive performance, but with one little snag you need to be aware of.....

The KEYBOARD LAYOUT changes subtly in the password screen... so some special charatcers are not in the expected positions. They are in the username screen, but then it changes. Took me ages to find this....
