Modulr AP needs a bug bounty

I would have expected that a year after they purchased Nook that the AP platform would be mature and polished. As a customer for the past 3 months I have been constantly identifying bugs in the AP platform and needing to escalate these as they affect basic functionality. It's clear that the engineering team behind Nook didn't do a great job and now Modulr is left to pick up the pieces... How can they be allowed to not provide the promised services, months after customers are onboarded?

Great support

The team were very responsive and provided clear instructions on how to use the manual payment functionality on the platform, that we hadn't had to use before. Great experience of customer support.

Far too difficult to set up

Far too difficult to set up, just hard work. If you run a decent / tight ship and are competent, I cant see any reason to bother with Modulr. We tried it for the first time, sent money to the account and got calls from our bank immediately trying to spot fraud. Tried to log into the app to add users at different levels. That didnt work. Tried to use the web client, that didnt work. Overall dont see any point in the service. Just binned it off in the end and closed the account. Wont even go into the account set up process, which was just far too painful and a complete waste of time !

Would you be able to provide a reference from when you reached out to us for support on any of these matters in order for us to be able to investigate further and ensure that the feedback is shared so that we can look to improve where possible?

Particularly more detail regarding the set-up being difficult, the app not working or the web client would be beneficial for us to make changes. Unfortunately, we cannot support in relation to your bank contacting you as this relates to their policies and procedures.

There are now better and cheaper alternatives

If you are a bookekping or accountancy practice and intend to use Modulr for payroll please be aware that Modulr have recently changed their pricing model and for small firms Telleroo are now a much cheaper and more polished solution. The recent price model increased the cost of processing 1 payroll payment by 86% because Modulr now force customers to a package with at least 35 transactions per month minimum. for very small employers this no longer maked Modulr a viable solution. An alternative is Telleroo who currently offer to process up to 10 transactions for each of our customers for free. The Telleroo starter package is also cheaper than Modulr's equivalent with more transactions included. I am very disappointed with the changes however we have no alternative but to put all of our new customers onto Telleroo instead.

Fast and reliable payments…

Modulr makes paying our clients employees so effective as we can go right up to pay day and transfer funds if required. This has seen a huge reduction in overpayments when paying mid month in advance due to the ability to stop a payment and amend it.

Lack of user refunds - Partner issues

I got about 1.9k stuck at modulr. They have ignored past emails about issues with a partner (they responded to a few. Mostly the one where the partner blamed Modulr for stuff)

Modulr have ignored past emails about GDPR issues, Security Issues and general company issues and respect (all this is about a partner)

No responds via emails from modulr. I sent them weekly-daily emails.

Ontop of the 1.9k. The partner they work with owes me 249eur + sub cost.

Edit: 2025-07-17: they left a responds. If they looked at the stuff I sent in and just spoke with the partner they would know those channels ended while back.

As well anything fiat releated is on Modulr to handle. So the delays is on Modlur at the end of the day.

Also Modulr have been fully aware of the issues after I told them about 2 or so months ago (if not 3). So the "thanks for brining it to our attention" is just PR. DNB have also forwarded my complaint to them.
