I spent manyr hours today in a circular loop of frustration with AutoExports.us (Livingston). Despite providing multiple digital scans, including high res, of a vehicle title, their system repeatedly flagged them as "illegible." After hours of back-and-forth and providing every document requested, they pivoted and claimed I would need to appear at their office in person—defeating the entire purpose of an online brokerage service.
Finally, after wasting my entire afternoon, they admitted they couldn't help me and offered a refund. I took the exact same documents to a competitor, and they had the AES filing completed and my ITN generated in minutes.
Because of AutoExports’ delay and technical incompetence, I missed the 72-hour filing window for my Friday border crossing. Avoid this service if you have a deadline; they are inefficient, their tech is outdated, and their customer service is less than helpful.

I'm truly appalled at how bad Livingston International is at their jobs. Last winter, I needed a customs broker to receive a machine shipment from overseas. At first, they seemed legit, sent paperwork that looked like they knew what they were doing. Assigned me a "team" that would help me with the process. I filled out their forms, paid their fees.
I had ordered the machine in October 2024, but unfortunately my machine didn't get to a dock until a day or two after the "reciprocal" tariffs hit in May 2025. This meant I was gonna have to pay a lot of money in tariffs and I didn't know how much (because things kept changing) - I was understandably anxious about it, so I thought reaching out to Livingston would be helpful - I must've called and emailed every single person on my "team" and not a single person got back to me. Thankfully, I had enough money in my account for the tariffs, so when they automatically deducted it, without any warning or notice, I was good. Thank god for the rigging company that I hired, because they walked me through the entire process...the job that Livingston was supposed to do.
I thought, "great, that is over, I will never have to deal with those clowns again." I was so wrong.
January 2026, I received an invoice from Livingston International for $750 for renewal of my continuous bond. Excuse me? Renewal? No. I was very clear from the very beginning that this was a one-time situation. So, I emailed the people I was told to email on the invoice. A few days go by, no response...then on January 29th, Livingston deducted the funds directly out of my account.
This is when the real nightmare started. I emailed, I called, I spoke to numerous people - I think 1 person out of a dozen actually emailed me back and told me they would send me back my money (it was all just talk, zero action). Every person I spoke to on the phone seemed helpful (shoutout to Ramona who may be the only competent person there) but even those people couldn't get in touch with anyone to actually help me.
They sent me a reverse invoice or something - showing they were crediting the money back to me. But the money still wasn't in my account. I waited almost 2 weeks, still emailing them, thinking maybe it would take a bit to transfer? Nope. I finally get an email back, and was told "that invoice is proof you were given back the money." They really started gaslighting me.
Close to a month of dealing with this BS with these people, and no one has actually helped me retrieve the stolen funds. I reported it to my bank, and they gave it back to me...now it is their problem to deal with these clowns.
I'm also closing that bank account because I truly do not trust these people and I don't think anyone should. Very sketchy business. If I could give them negative stars, I would.

DO NOT DEAL WITH LIVINGSTON - having to call the PCC is a nightmare. You can't talk to who you need to. Good luck getting your PARS/PAPS cleared if you come into problems. They are supposed to contact you. THEY DON'T!!
I tell all my customers to switch brokers. So many better more helpful brokers. Livingston is not a carrier friendly broker and don't care about the movement of their customers freight.

Absolutely the worst!! They have uneducated/untrained ppl who can barely put two English words together, who are misleading carriers/drivers in every possible way they can. Every single time we were unfortunate enough to see Livingston name on customs invoice headache begins (min. 15 hours of their lies and trucks stuck at the border). Every single shipper should stay out of their way. Beyond unprofessional !!! No wonder their client list is declining so fast !!
Employ the right ppl or give up the license, as you don't deserve it !!

one of the worst broker ever. Takes alot of time to clear the border this is my 8th time in this week they said they dont receive the papers and passing responsibilities to one another team members even on call they said they received the papers but not processed on system after 4hrs

I asked them to quote on the re-importing of a US-made car from Canada back to the US.
A simple and easy job that every other mover had no problem quoting.
Michel at Livingston was completely confused, and over the last 7 days sent me emails repeating what I already told him - and I still don't have a quote!
These guys are horribly inept.
Do not use them.

The worst of the worst, been here a day, went to the office to ask to be cleared they say need more information, asked what information and the dumb old lady just answered more information about the vehicle.
Don’t go there, don’t to business with them.
They don’t care, and the attitude of the people in the Coutts office is just beyond rude.

Another crossing, another problem. I almost want to cry when I see Livingston's name on paperwork. Two days of sitting. I called, I resent completely legible paperwork, and just got told today it's on hold because they can't read it. WHY DO YOU ASK FOR CONTACT INFO WHEN YOU NEVER USE IT? It's too much for these idiotic agents at a call center to send an email or make a call.
Absolutely horrible. As always, imploring every company I can to not use what is by far the worst broker to ever exist.

They received our paper work since yesterday 5.22 pm and today is 5 am. I already called them 3 times and since last night and they are still flagging the shipment since 8 pm last night. They don't even have time to.look at the shipment after 12 hours of receiving the paper work. Worse worse broker in the market. Driver is at the border since 8 pm last night. They don't care about others time.

It's a waste of time, 3 months to have the papers correct, when they promised it will take just a few days.
Then, once you're in the middle of the process they don't get you back.
Their team of e-commerce it's a joke B, S & P.

Continuous issues with this company doing their job. Paperwork was submitted at 3:00 p.m. it is now 5:00 a.m the next day and it's still hasn't been processed or even put into their system. This has happened multiple times now. I have contacted them multiple times and all they say is oh we have escalated the issue. I honestly do not care if you have escalated the issue You are wasting 15 hours of my day my money and my life for something that you should have done. I don't know why it's so hard for people to just do their jobs.

Impossible to get through to them on the phone. They seem to think customers' time has no value. Such arrogant incompetence. I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
