PRICES after booking

The booking process, descriptions and villa are correct.
The concierges are also very friendly but if you use the services of the concierge you pay 60 to 80% more than the normal rates. For example, the prices for booking a taxi were 80% more expensive, for a chef at home 60% and for renting a car almost double. As a result, we ended up booking everything ourselves.
The prices that a concierge gives MUST be the same as the market price otherwise this has a completely negative image of the company "the collectionist".

The Camelia Estate on Corfu

The Camelia Estate on Corfu was fabulous with amazing views. The staff and the cook were excellent, unobtrusive and very courteous. I would recommend this villa and staff to anyone with high standards.

Villa Marzuola was an incredible…

Villa Marzuola was an incredible experience for my family and I to celebrate my mother's birthday. The concierge I worked with leading into the trip was extremely helpful and quick to respond despite my many, many questions. The home itself is beautiful and cozy. The onsite villa manager, Sara, and the chef, Marta, were also exceptional. They were both ready and willing to help accommodate requests quickly and incredibly friendly. We would absolutely book here again!

Great experience at Villa Muvra

We really liked the responsiveness of the team in organizing everything. Questions were dealt with quickly and professionally. The Villa was great, well cleaned and in excellent condition.

Rather Disappointed - Not Worth the Value

We had a rather pleasant stay due to circumstances beyond our control once we arrived at the destination. The check-in/check-out process was smooth, thanks to the team. However, the villa in Mallorca was a disappointment. While the location was lovely, the property was far from what was presented online. The pictures appeared to be taken many years ago, and the villa now feels like an old cottage with mediocre interiors and facilities. For the price, it was definitely not worth the value. I strongly recommend requesting a live video tour before booking to get an accurate sense of the property.

Fantastic once again

Le Collectionist once again were fantastic in helping us organise a wonderful holiday! Their consistent professionalism, local knowledge and down to earth friendliness makes them a pleasure to deal with a company I would recommend to anybody looking for a special holiday.

Do Not Book With Le Collectionist

Do Not Book With Le Collectionist

Heated swimming pool - Our only requirement. Was informed heating was turned off for the summer, but could be turned on at no extra cost if necessary. We had to chase for the duration of the 2 weeks. It got so cold my daughter was wearing a wetsuit. Collectionist tried to blame this on me even though there was written evidence.
Reservations - They said the would help with any reservations, but when most couldn't be done online they said they can't be booked. Didn't even think of calling the restaurants. Thankfully I can speak sufficient French so was able to arrange no problem. Reflects the laziness of the staff.
Boat Day - We were encouraged to arrange a boat day. Gave us the wrong time on 2 occasions, then when we turned up at the 3rd and later time, the boat was still late. We coordinated for food and drinks to be supplied months in advance, but they contacted me the night before to ask what we wanted??!!
Swimming lessons - We arranged 10 swimming lessons over 2 weeks, but needed 2 to be rearranged due to the boat days. These were confirmed by email. Then the instructor didn't turn up and had been told completely different days including 11am on the day we were meant to check out at 10am - absolutely moronic?! Then once again blamed me for the confusion saying I hadn't given the right dates (these were all provided in emails and confirmed by Collectionist - just baffling!) Also, the instructor charges 45 Euros, not the 120 euros the Collectionist charges!
Safety - too many people allowed to just come and go from the property. We asked to be notified in advance and we weren't. We felt really uncomfortable and were worried for the safety of our children if automatic gates were left open.

On 2 occasions Le Collectionist tried to pin the blame on me. In both cases I sent them evidence of their error on emails from them. I just think this is the most insulting, erratic, incompetent team I have ever had the displeasure of working with and this was a ludicrously expensive holiday for what it is worth. Had we arranged the chef, swimming lessons and boat trip directly we would have saved in the region of 10,000 euros at a minimum and not to mention we wouldn't have had to deal with this level of ineptitude and impertinence. Very very rude and unapologetic.

Don't bother with the extras. The Collectionist is cutting a huge margin. It's daylight robbery!

Villa Rental - terrible experience

The agent confirmed the villa to us and we went ahead to book our flights for the dates. After we paid our deposit a few days later the agent called to inform us that the villa is not available for those dates. They gave us the option to book the villa another week or credit for another year for the same villa. Either case did not work for us because we had book our flights. We asked them to reimburse us the cost of changing the flights (that came in excess of £1,200) and they refused vehemently sighting our contract.
They were not flexible at all and hid behind the contractual terms that are very much in their favour.
We will certainly not going back to them for our future villa rentals and good luck to all of you.

The house was beautiful!

The house was beautiful!! The service by the collectionist was very responsive which made the whole trip go very smoothly. The location was perfect for our family. It would have been nice to have a normal check in and check out time as in the end we did not get much of the day on Saturday!!!

It is a charming house with nice views…

It is a charming house with nice views to the sea and a peaceful and beautiful swimming pool. A good place for a summer rest and spend time with family or friends. Beach accesible to walking distance, what is good due to the intense traffic that there is on holidays time.

No Electricity / No Money

We booked a €20,000 per week villa via Collectionist - supposedly a luxury brand, certainly with luxury prices. When I arrived with my two children (12/14) we were told that there was no power supply to the villa - ie no fridge, WiFi, AC, cell coverage.. nothing. The housekeeper tried to make a temporary fix to the issue which remedied the situation for about an hour. The power supply failed again leaving my family stranded with no WiFi, phone service or AC in 40+ degree heat until the following morning. At that time Collectionist sent an electrician who claimed to fix the problem. The power supply failed again shortly after. My family left the house our holiday ruined. Collectionist offered to move us to another villa with no description in order to make the claim they offered alternative accommodation to mitigate risk of a refund. Collectionist now refuses to refund my money. They acknowledge they have standard agreements with all property owners, that mandate the house needs to be in good working order. Despite failing to provide even basic electricity, Collectionist refuses to reimburse me. Please take my experience as a lesson. Collectionist claims to be a luxury brand with luxury service and luxury prices - if there is a problem they will leave you high and dry. I am about to progress legal proceedings with the company.

Truly 5-star experience

Truly 5-star experience with the Le Collectionist team. Booked a one-week villa rental in Ericeira, Portugal through them and it exceeded all expectations. The process for payments could be improved for Americans / non-Europeans... it was a little challenging to make the payments through the options they offered but they were very accommodating through it all. The onsite experience was really thoughtful and memorable - including having our concierge meet us at the villa at check-in, with all sorts of goodies set out for our arrival (charcuterie, wine, juices, bubbles for the kids). I definitely recommend them for your holiday bookings!

Villa in Porto Vecchio

3.5 stars. In the end, my family and I had a good two week stay near Porto Vecchio, Corsica... however our stay at the villa could have been better.

1. We checked in on a very hot day (40c) to a house that was 30c indoors. The AC was turned on 30 minutes prior to our arrival. We were very worried that the AC was broken in the house. It took a day to cool down.

2. The house was not outfitted with toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, and a sponge. I expect these basics when spending 15k/week.

Positive notes:
-The salt water pool was very nice
-The arrangement of the bedrooms made it very easy for two families to stay
-The view was nice
-The kitchen was well outfitted. The knives need some sharpening
-Owner allowed us to use garage to park our car
