Company helped me many times. Ebike has 4200 miles

Company has helped me many times with questions and replacement components. Just recently, my local bike-shop tore wire to sensor. Freedare team replied to my email fast, then created custom order for replacement sensor, and shipped within a week. My Eden ebike has 4,200 miles. Never failed me. Built well.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING

I do not recommend purchasing any FREEDARe product.
My husband and I purchased two FREEDARE Eden bikes. When they came, one of them was throwing three different error codes. The bike wouldn’t even work properly. After many back and forth emails they offered to send us a whole new wire harness and we would have to install it ourselves. We did not want to do that so we were offered a very small discount if we agreed to do it. We were not comfortable doing that. Considering we paid over 3k total for two bikes we felt we shouldn’t have to do that and that if the bicycle was already having issues before it was even ridden then what other issues could it possibly have. Finally FREEDARE agreed to return the malfunctioning bicycle free of charge and ship a new one.
Fast forward to slightly over a year later and neither bicycle will work.
The IoT warranty is 12 months. However The bicycles have 13 miles on them and when we realized they were dead we hadn’t had them for much longer than a year. We have been told that we didn’t put them in storage mode over the winter so the internal battery in the IoT module died and we need to pay to replace the IoT module, $95 + $20 for shipping (for each of us). After contacting FREEDARE we have been told that “storage mode” was implemented after our purchase so it wasn’t in the owners manual we received and that the information was sent out through their official channes such as Facebook. After telling FREEDARE we don’t have Facebook we were told the information was sent out through a marketing email. Personally, I receive a lot of marketing emails every day and I do not read them all.
So we are left with two bicycles that we paid over 3k in total for and neither of them work and we have to pay out an additional $230 ($115 each) to get them to work.
Also, many local bike shops will not work on bicycle brands that they do not sell. As far I know, FREEDARE sells via the internet only.
Bottom line, go to your local bike shop.

Thank you for sharing your feedback.

Our after-sales team has been in direct communication with you to explore a resolution that works for both sides.
While the IoT modules are currently outside the standard warranty period, we’re actively working with you to find a reasonable solution beyond our warranty policy.

It arrived fast

It arrived fast, was easy to set up, and rides smoother than I imagined. Everything about this bike feels well-engineered and sturdy.

Delivery/ shipping of Freedare Saiga with fenders and rear rack.

I wasn’t sure if the Freedare Saiga with fenders and rear rack would be shipped in just one big box or if the options would be shipped in separate packages.
I panicked a little when only one box arrived, I contacted Freedare and they responded quickly. It turned out that everything was in the box.
It took one week exactly for my bike to be delivered to Vancouver Island Canada and I couldn’t be happier.
I’ve only got the bike home yesterday to the small off grid island that I live on and road it home from the ferry. So I can’t give a in-depth opinion on riding it on different Terrans and such but the ride home yesterday was pretty great experience. It was the first time I’ve ever ridden an E-bike and I can say that anybody older like myself who hasn’t ridden a bike in a long time could easily ride one of these and get back into shape and feel younger doing it.
It ran smoothly and had no problems with the gravel roads or the hills between the ferry and home.
Thank You Freedare.

A great experience with the bike and the after-sales support.

I have been a satisfied Freedare customer for over a year. My experience with the Saiga bike has been positive, but I particularly appreciate the exceptional customer service I've received. Their proactive efforts to engage both existing and new customers are also commendable. I am delighted with my purchase and anticipate many more years of enjoyable adventures.

As someone recovering from knee

As someone recovering from knee surgery, I needed a bike that could help me stay active without overexerting myself. Freedare was perfect. The pedal assist gives just enough support, and I can adjust it based on how I feel each day. Game changer for my health.

Loving my first ebike from Freedare

Loving my first ebike from Freedare. After about 3 weeks of research on what I was actually looking for in an ebike, I decided to purchase from them. At the time, they offered a nice discount on 2 ebikes and I was impressed by the offerings and features of the step-over Saiga and step-through Eden models. Ordering was a breeze, and the bikes shipped super fast. Assembly wasn't hard at all, especially since they provide a video as well as other videos on YouTube. After riding this ebike for almost 2 years, I can say this was a wise choice. The bike's 750W motor use torque sensors, which respond to how much power you deliver to peddling and depending on what peddle assist level you have the bike on. They allow you too get a workout when you like, while giving you the necessary power to pull some of the toughest hills, and therefore extending the range of your rides. The build quality is terrific and everything on this bike worked as advertised. The frame is solid, braking is responsive, LCD display screen is easy to read, the thumb throttle allows for safer power delivery, the 7 speed gear shifter system is smooth, the sensitive anti-theft system is a plus, and they have a comprehensive app that provides info on your bike, gps, and gives you options for routes. After my first ride of 12 miles I noticed some subtle things I needed to change like a softer bike seat and I added a shock absorbing seat post to help with longer rides on bumpy terrains. So far, I've tested this bike in grass, gravel, sand, dirt, and asphalt. No matter if you're going
uphill, downhill, or on flat ground, this bike navigates all with ease. The battery life has been great for almost 2 years, even though I only ride in temperatures of the mid 50's to the high 90's. I did notice that on a full charge to about 70 percent I can reach speeds of 28 to 31 mph off full throttle (flat to slightly downhill), but when I dip below 70 to 40 percent, full speed from the throttle alone only reaches about 25mph. To me that's still pretty decent and a respectable pace to get anywhere you need to go in ample time. So far, the only time I have contacted customer service is about bike features and connectivity with the app. They've been very helpful and extremely reliable. I'm always getting compliments on the bike and folks seem interested in buying. I implore anyone looking for an e-bike to give this company a look. You won't be disappointed.

I’m so glad I went with Freedare

I’m so glad I went with Freedare. I compared a lot of e-bikes, but the features, price, and support here stood out. I ride to work, to the store, and for fun. It handles every situation beautifully, and I’ve even convinced two coworkers to get one too!

Freedare Eden

The bike is excellent. Plenty of power and easy to handle. Great on the road and on gravel trails. I haven't tried dirt trails yet, but I can't see that there would be much it can't handle. What I do want to mention is the outstanding customer service. My first call was due to the battery discharging when te bike was stored. Turns out it was the GPS / anti-theft device. Service was able to put the battery into sleep mode remotely and subsequently wrote that ability into the bike control app so I can do it myself when the bike is locked up in the garage. Great caring support while all this was happening - quick and accurate. Next experience was after I misplaced my bike manual. Support immediately responded with am online manual, but obsessive me wanted a physical manual. OK, no problem, we'll send you a complimentary one. Would you mind paying for shipping. Heck, I expected to pay for the manual AND shipping. And then emails to say it was on the way and to check if I had received it. If they can show that much care over a trivial thing like a lost manual, I have full confidence in them if I ever need real help.

The Freedare bike is great fun.

I bought the Freedare bike and it has been so much fun. It’s big enough so bumps in the road are easily handled. And I love the torque sensor for exercise but you can still just be powered by the battery alone. And it stops really safely. The customer support has been excellent from the company for any questions. I highly recommend the Freedare bike.
