Located in downtown Kutztown since 2012, Firefly Bookstore is an independently-owned and operated new and used bookstore. Re-located in a bigger store in 2017, we now have almost 3000 square feet of space for over 50,000 items. We carry a great selection of titles including large sections of children's books, general fiction, sci-fi, mystery and thrillers, religion & metaphysics, cooking, history and biography. We have a selection of antiquarian titles and fine bindings. We also carry board games and puzzles (both new and used), toys, buttons, magnets, small gifts, note cards and each year, a large selection of calendars. We offer free gift wrapping, customer requests and special orders. We buy and trade books whenever the store is open. We have regular events all year long, including author signings and book releases, events for younger children and family game nights.

Firefly Bookstore has a warm, welcoming feel that makes browsing a real pleasure. The selection is thoughtfully chosen, and the staff clearly care about books and readers alike. It's the kind of place you want to come back to again and again.

Very satisfied with customer service
While shopping with Firefly bookstore I inadvertently added a book that I already owned. After the sale was complete and I realized the mistake I wrote telling them what happened.
They cancelled the order and refunded the money from the purchas within a couple of days. I believe this is the kink of customer service that brings people back to shop for other items.

Best local bookstore!!!
The staff is always so knowledgable and helpful. Everything is clearly marked and they have lots of puzzles, games and other gift ideas--funny socks etc.
