DTec Reviews

Darryl was super helpful with my inquiries before the installation with clear answers, promptly arrived (actually early) and guided me throughout during/after installation. I would strongly recommend him.

Excellent service. Professional installation at my home in Croydon area. TfL approved SAFE systems dashcam with interior facing CCTV and signage in my PHV. Peace of mind. Thoroughly recommended. Cheers Darryl.

Darryl was very professional, polite and explained everything I needed to know, excellent service, I highly recommend him and Dtec. Darryl installed the " Safe System 605 in vehicle CCTV" camera, I'm from Northwest London, Thank you very much

Road Angel Halo Guardian fitted today by Darryl in West London UB6
D was great kept me informed about his arrival time, showed me how to use it and explained the settings and set everything up for me. Very pleased.
Thank you.

Excellent installation by Darryl of a Thinkware U3000 Pro front and rear with LTE hardwired into a Golf GTI, all working perfectly and looks like a clean factory installation. Very happy 😊

I contacted DTec to arrange a mobile installation of a BlackVue front and rear dashcam into my Volvo XC90.

Initially, I had considerable difficulty getting through by telephone and received no response to my emails. After following up, Darryl eventually replied and apologised for the delay. To be fair, his response was extremely detailed and answered my questions point by point, which gave me the confidence to proceed.

Darryl confirmed his experience with BlackVue and the Volvo XC90 and quoted me £150 for the mobile installation.

I replied confirming that I was happy to proceed, accepted the £150 price, provided my installation address and asked for his available dates so that I could book.

I received no response.

I followed up again, making it clear that I was ready to book and pay and simply asking for his availability. Again, no response.

This is extremely disappointing. If DTec was too busy, had no availability or simply did not want the job, a short reply saying so would have been perfectly acceptable. Instead, I spent considerable time trying to arrange an installation that never materialised.

In hindsight, I am glad I did not proceed. If communication is this difficult before they have even taken my money, it naturally makes me question how easy it would be to obtain assistance if something went wrong after installation.

The many positive reviews initially gave me confidence in DTec, but unfortunately my own experience has been completely different.

I have retained the full email correspondence and can substantiate the above if required.

Darryl installed my 70mai Dash Cam A510 quickly, neatly & professionally in my Toyota Corolla in Battersea, did a fantastic job, would definitely recommend!

Based in Kent near the Dartford Tunnel, I was pleased Darryl came out this far! very pleasant and helpful guy, installation completed quickly and flawlessly. Highly recommend.

I recently had my Viofo front and rear dashcam installed by DTEC, and the whole experience was excellent. I'm based in Hammersmith and travelled to Shadwell for the installation. Darryl gave me clear directions beforehand, so finding the place was easy.
Darryl was friendly, professional, and talked me through everything he was doing. He neatly hid all the wiring, tucked everything away, and put all the trim back exactly as it was, you'd never know anything had been taken apart. He also set up the camera, adjusted all the settings, and showed me how to use it before I left.
A really professional job from start to finish. Thanks again, Darryl!

Just had my dashcam installed by Darryl. Arrived in the timeslot (I am based in West London) and you can easily see he is very good with installations. He showed me through the systems of the dashcam (Viofo A229) and was very helpful answering any questions that i had. All round brilliant service.

I had a dashcam installed today and the service was outstanding. He arrived on time, worked professionally, and hid all the wiring neatly. The camera was positioned perfectly, and he took the time to walk me through the features and make sure everything was working as it should. If you’re based in London and want a reliable, professional dashcam installation, I highly recommend his service.

Darryl was great! I had front and rear dashcams with radar module, 4G remote module, and a battery pack. That is a lot of cables and Darryl installed them cleanly and unobtrusively. Super happy with the end result!

I recently had Darryl from Dtec install a front and rear GKU E200 dashcam in my VW ID.3, and I couldn’t be happier with the service.
Darryl was efficient, professional, and clearly very experienced. He kept me fully updated with his travel times ahead of the appointment, which I really appreciated. The installation itself was completed to a very high standard—tidy, discreet, and with great attention to detail.
I genuinely couldn’t fault his workmanship or the overall experience. I would highly recommend Darryl and Dtec to anyone looking for a reliable and high-quality dashcam installation.

Great work by Daryl. He came to our place in Clapham and installed a 70mai 2.7K Front and Rear A510 dash cam. The installation was incredibly clean, you can hardly tell there's a dash cam fitted. Everything is neatly tucked away and looks very professional.

Darryl gave really honest and helpful advice throughout the process and didn’t try to upsell unnecessary extras. He took the time to explain the different BlackVue options, battery setup and LTE module properly so I could make the right decision for my Audi Q7.

The installation itself was superb. The wiring integration is completely seamless and looks OEM/factory fitted with no visible cables at all. The install quality and attention to detail were exactly what I was hoping for.

Very professional service overall and I would highly recommend DTec to anyone looking for a high-quality dash cam installation.

DTec & Darryl provided a fabulous & informative dash cam installation service from start to finish. I chose to come to the installer in East London as I'm based a short distance away in Brixton.

Hi my CCTV Dash camera tfl approved installed by Darryl , he is such a professional Skillfull person, i Totally recomend him and his company for such professional jobs

I booked Dtec (Darryl) to install a Viofo A329S 2 channel camera after I stupidly thought I could install it myself. Darryl was awesome! super professional, very knowledgable and he did a fantastic job installing the cameras, hiding all the wires and it looks super clean and slick. He also went over all the settings to ensure they were optimal for the setup and my car battery! I would highly recommend Dtec to do your dashcams! Thanks again!

Daryl installed Road Angel, front and rear facing camera. Was truly happy with the workmanship, clean and very professional. Very happy with his service and knowledge, and happy to recommend.

Darryl originally fitted my dashcam a few years ago and returned today to remove it as I'm changing cars. Absolutely first-rate service. The installation was excellent and he did a fantastic job of removing all traces of it being installed today. He also fitted dashcams for my parents and my sister and they have been really happy with them too.

Would definitely recommend 100%
