Ohio

We have citbank only because Costco uses them . We ha charge to dispute, , over a month trying to fix it . The charge was from an Ohio restaurant. I finally asked a friend of mine who lived in Ohio to go there and talk to the manager, she got it corrected. About a week later , get a notice from Citibank that THEY resolved it . Can’t make this stuff up!

Victimizing the Victim

After allowing tends of thousands of dollars of fraudulent charges to accrue on my credit card (including thousands of dollars of gelato someone purchased in Brazil!) Citibank finally flagged me and of course we closed the account. Citibank then refused to expedite a replacement card for the new account, and further refused even to give me the new account number so I could use it for online purchases. Of course, this was after extensive security confirmation of who I really am. Still a "no" from them. One account rep kept overtalking me and the supervisor was incapable of overriding her system, contacting another department or further escalating my request, saying "at least a new card is on the way". An arrogant, incompetent group, treating the victim as if he is the bad guy undeserving of any consideration. So no credit card until USPS eventually gets it to me by regular mail.

Predatory banking and I'm the big dummy…

Predatory banking and I'm the big dummy that fell for it. Offered 0 percent financing at my local tractor supply and I needed a mower. So I did it. I have a great credit score and dont have one missed payment ever since I was old enough to get loans. Sure, I've been a literal day or two behind on payments, but 99.9 percent of banks offer a grace period of some sort. Citi bank hits ya with a fat $41 "late fee" the second its passed midnight on your due date, which is kind of crazy to me. Its predatory banking at its finest, I'll be paying that mower off early and taking it as a lesson learned.

CITIBANK DOES NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH…

CITIBANK DOES NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THEIR PROMISES OF FRAUD PROTECTION OR 0% LIABILITY FOR UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES!!!!!!! SCAMMERS AND LIARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been using citibank for over a decade as my main payment source.
I agreed to pay $500 to a company called SiteOne. That charge went through, 3 weeks later that charge disappeared and I was re-charged $675 by SiteOne. SiteOne even sent them a document with my forged signature on it.
I've sent information to Citibank, called 6 times to explain this, have been patient and polite... trying to figure out what they need.
After hours on the phone, documents sent etc- "there's nothing we can do, the timeframe expired".

I've been reaching out since October and It's mid-January- I've called more than 1x/month to resolve this and suddenly the time is up?

THEY WILL NOT COVER FRAUDULENT CHARGES AS THEY CLAIM ALL OVER THEIR WEBSITE AND COMMERCIALS.

Never again

I want to caution everyone about using their Citi bank credit card for online purchases.

I want to caution everyone about using their Citi bank credit card for online purchases. I had a terrible experience where I was scammed out of $5,600 by an Indian store that sent me a cheap, base metal jewelry piece. Despite my efforts to dispute the transaction and providing all necessary documents, Citi bank sided with the seller. I had provided all the documents to support my dispute, including a jewelry report with test results that proved the metal was not silver but base metal.

Customer service is a joke.

Thank You Business Rewards card = NO THANK YOU!! Waited 10 min to talk to an off shore representative who after 15 minutes determined he could not help me. ALSO informed me that employees I had over 10 years ago were still on the account as authorized users. This is false because I have not received any new cards for them in 10 years. But scary because after dealing with the incompetence I'm wondering. Placed on hold for 45 min. Wait time was estimated every 30 seconds to be 5 min... The second off shore rep could not add authorized users either, could not understand me, and likewise I had a hard time with his broken English. After another 10-15 on the line he determined he couldn't do this either. This process should literally be 5 min start to finish. Also note that this is a business card, and thus supposed to have better than standard customer service. Beware the customer service is rude, incompetent slow and helpless. I as a business owner can not deal with this level of risk or incompetence so I cancelled my cards after in January 2026, this account has been open for over 16 years and it's been horrific customer service last few years. BEWARE!!

Horrible Customer Service!

Long wait time, extremely poor customer service, account was frozen due to their processing error with no explanation given other than I will receive written notice in 7-10 business days. HORRIBLE customer service for a first time customer. Would not recommend!

They're stealing our Money

They're stealing our Money
My wife prepaid a 5 figure monthly statement with an excess payment of thousands of dollars that she knew were going to be billed and wanted to "get ahead of". Citi accepted the payment "pending approval" from our bank (Chase). They've "sat" on the money for nearly 10 days AND because they didn't apply the overpayment to our balance, my "companion" card was declined on $50 purchase, at my local pharmacy!! And when you call, the only people you can talk with are in the in the Philippians. Bring back American customer service!! Citi SUCKS

Dispute date changed and no refund after two months

I opened a dispute with Citibank on November 12, 2025 for a charge on my Citi Double Cash Card. I ordered a crystal cat figurine, but received a cat figurine made of cheap material in different colors. I provided two photos and all written communication with the merchant (Hong Kong) to Citi’s dispute department.
Later, I noticed in Citi’s online system that the dispute open date was changed to December 6, 2025, without explanation. As of January 5, 2026, I still have not been reimbursed.
This lack of transparency and excessive delay make Citi’s dispute process unreliable.

I think I've used Citibank card member…

I think I've used Citibank card member services for over 30 years!. Today I had to call and speak to customer service. Their call center was so busy they had to call me back 45 minutes later. I could not understand the individual that was speaking with me. I had to ask for a supervisor. I asked the supervisor what country I was speaking with and he replied india!. The reason I called was because today December 29th I received my October statement!. Fortunately I forgot that I had paid them off in full. I'm hoping I'll receive my November statement sometime in the first 3 months of 2026!. I am done!. I will never ever deal with Citibank again. There's too many out there that utilize American support!.

Avoid Citi at all costs

Citi just cut my credit card limit by over 50% without warning. My credit score then dropped by over 30 points from excellent to fair. My balance with Citi went up because I responsed to a low interst rate offer FROM CITI ... to pay off a medical bill. I have NEVER missed a payment to anyone ... EVER. This is not Ok.

HORRIBLE customer service

HORRIBLE customer service! I will be paying off my credit card and closing this account. They put a fraud alert on my card, and make it IMPOSSIBLE to get it removed. Horrrrrible. Still can’t get it removed. I was on vacation when this happened and my card got declined. So embarrassing. They suck!!!!!
