It took a half dozen phone calls, a half dozen emails, and photos to 'prove' that my order arrived sorely incomplete. The customer service was a joke.

I unknowingly purchased a bottle of Irish whiskey from Cask cartel I paid $104 for it thinking I was going to get a very very fine bottle of whiskey! After purchasing it and getting it home and tasting it I love the whiskey but then I searched for this brand of whiskey and found out that every other place sells it for $28.99 it was the whistler's Irish beekeeper Honey whiskey! I got back to Cass cartels service people but they never got back to me! I urge everyone to ban cast cartel! They have terrible customer service and they are thieves! They still have this bottle of whiskey listed for $104 to this date! And everyone else sells it from $28 to $32! Paul S

Ordered the Pudge Rodriguez tequila with the autographed label, 3 bottles at a cost of around $150.00. One of the autographs was badly smeared. The labels are just laying unprotected in the bottom of the shipping box. Contacted company for a replacement. Agreed to send, but never arrived. Them offers me a podunk discount coupon Now refuses to reply to my emails...I highly recommend not buying from this company!!!

My wife purchased a bottle of rum for me as a birthday gift. She unfortunately didn't do her due diligence on the price. The Bottle (Dead Mans Fingers Coconut Rum) is listed on multiple sites for $20-$24. Cask Cartel charged $160 (excluding shipping) and has a ALL SALES ARE FINAL POLICY. Modern day price gouging at its best via a middle man distributor that exercises the law to its advantage by posting a legal disclaimer on its site.. BUYER BEWARE

Caskcartel listed a price of a bottle for as much as other charge for a case which lead me to believe that I am buying a case. After I complete the purchase I decided to check the at their web site how many bottles are in the case, but since I could not find the information I was looking for I send them an email requesting the cancelation of my order 10 minutes after I placed it. The next business day after not receiving any replies from caskcartel I followed up with the call to their customer center. Customer center told me that they will cancel the order but will charge 35% restocking fees which is a part of their Terms & Conditions. Neither their Terms & Conditions or the item description have any statements about restocking fees. I was not able to dispute the charge with my credit card since the terms of service of caskcartel with the credit card issuer is final one the order is placed.

Do not make the mistake I made.

Dreadful business -- if you see this DO NOT ORDER
I used a promo code for free shipping on two bottles -- it was expensive enough to start with -- and only this made it palatable ! The code was refused and they charged shipping -- giving me NO final chance to accept the order WITH the expensive shipping ($45).

I E-mailed within minutes to say to cancel the order if the promo code was bad and they were going to charge shipping.

Next day got a snippy message saying basically "you are f..ked" -- no cancellations for any reasons ... 35% restocking fee.

They claim it is ordered from UK -- almost certainly they could call and cancel the order -- but they have no intention of doing so .... in fact I do not believe it is even ordered yet!

I am refusing delivery if it comes, already disputed charge on AMEX with supporting E-mails. I will almost guarantee that if delivery is attempted we will be able to prove it was not shipped until WELL after they could have cancelled it.

Will update results later if I can - buyers beware!

UPDATE #1 - 4 days later
After several E-mails and even a phone call - they offered to refund the shipping as a gift card. I told them no - refund to my AMEX. I started an AMEX dispute and sent AMEX everything. Day later the shipping was refunded to my AMEX.
Give them credit - sort of - that they did not want the hassle of a merchant dispute.

Now we will see how long it take to get the product and if I get it at all -- there is ZERO communication as to it being shipped or anything.
With these guys it is pay and pray !!

There are so many other reputable options out there that keep you informed all the way -- still a zero to 1 star review and a recommendation to avoid.

UPDATE #2 - 9 days after original order
First ignore their reply below -- they are canned replies to look as if they care !

This is a re-ship operation -- they take your money -- then order it somewhere else as a drop ship and pocket the difference.

They wrap their purchase agreement in nasty rules in an attempt to fool you into accepting their terms -- RULE #1 - dispute IMMEDIATELY with your Credit card provider.

They did credit my shipping -- but when I went to ask about shipping info and tracking - they said they had cancelled the order due to my dispute threat (which they blatantly lied when they said it had shipped on day #2) - and that they had already credited my money back to AMEX .... now I am fighting them to get them to credit the balance without me re-activating the AMEX dispute.

AGAIN - avoid these online snakes at all costs !

If you are reading this AFTER spending $$ -- immediately start a charge dispute with your credit card company. It is really time the CC companies screen out these operations and stop them using their services!

Bait & Switch
I ordered a Tamhdu Batch 3. The price and shipping were higher than I expected, but that was my choice. 10 Days later I receive an email that they have this bottle, but that it will cost me $89 MORE for them to send it to me. This is a crime. If you offer a product for a price then you should be required to provide that product for that price. I requested a refund. I was offered a credit, I insisted on a refund, Cask Cartel took a few more days to try to meet the original offer, but were unable to and I did receive a full refund.

Horrible experience. My fiancée ordered me a special gift tin of Ardbeg 10, which is more expensive than the regular, and she even emailed them to ensure they actually had that one with the gift tin, to which they replied that they did. The one that was delivered was in the regular carboard box, and even that was damaged.

My fiancée emailed them many times over the course of weeks to get them to give at least a partial refund of the difference between the regular and the special tin, which they refused.

I finally got a partial refund by calling them and screaming at them multiple times and threatening to have my bank reverse the charges. These people are the scum of the earth.

Subtract 3 stars; 1. Price. I expected to pay a premium. Unfortunately, I failed to check other online sellers. I could have purchased my bottle for half the price. 2. Customer Service. After waiting for nearly a month, I had to contact them to get the status of my order. To their credit I did receive a timely and satisfactory response. 3. Customer Service. I paid an additional fee for the Route service. This service is supposed to track my shipment. However, I was never notified by either, that my item had shipped. UPS attempted to make the delivery, but we weren’t home. We would not be home for the next attempt, so I was forced to pay an additional $12 to reschedule a time when we would be home. For these reasons, I don’t recommend doing business with Cask Cartel.

I bought Macallan 12 Year Old Double Cask Gift Tin Single Malt Scotch and it was more than what you would pay for 12 year old bottle! They’re over priced but figured for the time to add to my collection however when I received it, there was just a regular macallan box.. I contacted them and their reasoning is as followed:
I have taken a look into this for you, and since it is only the bottle presentation/ packaging that differs from the product description and the following disclaimer is included below the product image on the listing, I would unfortunately, not be able to offer an exchange at this time:

"*This image represents the intended product however, bottle designs, artwork, packaging and current batch release or proof may be updated from the producer without notice."

So because of this so called disclaimer, they wash their hands of any responsibility!! UNACCEPTABLE!!!
Never again will I buy from them again!!! There are better places online and cheaper!!!

Paid extra for shipping that would get the bottle there in “4 to 8 days.” Shipping label was finally printed after five days, and it was picked up to begin the shipment process on the eighth day. Delivered well after it was promised. Contacted customer service three different times and they were zero help.

These guys 'sell' our mezcals without ever having even talked to us. A total scam and way overpriced!

I placed an order in December of 2021 it is now the middle of April and they've still not fulfilled my original shipment. They claim their customer service hours on Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. but I just called at 6:45 p.m. eastern time and it says I reached them after hours. They say it's not available but when you go to search for that product it is available at an higher price they just don't honor that price from your original order. Then they keep giving you credits but they don't credit back any of the shipping or offer any free shipping unless you spend more money. So every time I have a credit I end up paying more out of pocket because of additional shipping charges. I paid an overage from a gift card I received via PayPal and they refused to refund it back to PayPal they just keep offering credits and then charge you another 30 or $40 for shipping again. Very disappointing experience and this was a gift from one of my vendors he has apologized profusely as he has had complaints from other people he sent those gift cards to. This is not a reputable company.

Terrible. After receiving numerous emails that I had to be home to sign for my delivery, Cask Cartel claims my order was delivered. When I requested proof of signature they did not produce it. When I asked for a refund through their insurer Route (for which I paid an additional premium at the time of purchase), they requested that I file a police report. Why should I have to file a police report to receive a refund for a shipment THEIR CHOSEN SHIPPER did not deliver? Currently reaching out to two state agencies about this. I cannot stress enough how unreliable Cask Cartel and Route are...stay clear of Cask Cartel and Route.

1 star is to much!!!! Do not order from Cask Cartel. I ordered and paid for a bottle of tequila that was damaged, seal broken and liquid missing and it was shipped to me that way. Cask Cartel would not refund anything. I was told that if "route" would not pay I was SOL (actual words from assistant manager, Michelle). I had pictures of the damaged bottle and very upset that they would not value their customers satisfaction when they send you a crappy product and would you drink the contents when a seal is broken??? I would be happy to show the the pictures if I could download them.

Watch out for this site. I purchased what I thought from their website picture the highest quality Don Q Rim. They sent the box and rum separately wrapped which already made me suspicious. The bottle of rum had very different markings than what they advertised. The rum they sent me is easily available on other sites for $59. I paid Caskcartel $179 for the exact same bottle. Upon contacting their customer service I was told that producers often change their labels. When I pushed further and requested a refund or at least compensation for them switching my purchase I was told “oh no no no “ and then it came “read the fine print”. It was at that moment I sadly concluded this Caskcartel is not a legitimate site to purchase from , let alone their claim of obtaining the most high end products. Please do not be fooled. I would tell everyone to bypass this site

Unsure if this is a legit place or not!! Thinking not! Ordered a gift on 1-2-22 and 200.00 came out of my account in 1-3-22 for a birthday on 2-2-22! Still not received and today is 2-7-22. Called several times but lots of excuses.would not recommend.
Received a refund!!! Ask for Christine!!! Took over 45 days.

Very disappointed with this company. Ordered some liquor and thought it would be shipped in a reasonable amount of time but that did not happen. After 2 weeks called them and they said the order was not fulfilled yet and that I was not allowed to cancel it. This is ridiculous as the order wasn't even fulfilled or shipped. I asked when it would ship they said in 10 to 14 business days then an additional 7 business days to reach me. Do not deal with this company as there are many other shops who will get you the liquor faster.

I've been waiting over 30 days for my order fullfillment. They keep giving me excuses. Today it has been 37 days and they want to subsitute my order. Unacceptable! I called them and asked to cancel my order and they hung up on me.
