Lights have potential to be good, but are a pain. They work for a while and then disconnect. Then you go through he process again. Now one out of four will not hook up to the router. Ends up an expensive gimmick. Not worth the money or frustration. In the end it's just a light with an opinion of its own.
Terrible product. Cannot be switched on/off using a conventional light switch as will not automatically reconnect to WiFi. Every time you need to physically reconnect the lights with the app. How difficult is it to set them to turn on using last connected settings until reconnected to a device…. Cheap low quality wish I’d never bought/installed. Oh and remote support useless…
Very poor customer service when trying to sort an issue with LED light strips. After following all the install instructions about cleaning the surfaces and letting them dry, they glue failed within two weeks and the strips dropped off.
I had been told by the supermarket I bought them at to contact the company, Calex. Calex advisor had no interest in helping me, told me I should just go and get some tape to try and fix them instead. Explained this was not the point and that the product was inferior but just rebuffed by them. Will never purchase another product from this company and advise others to do the same.
The agent responded quickly and was kind, but did not understand my concerns and requests. I was referred back to the retailer for assistance. After really trying to explain my issue, it was finally acknowledged by the agent that the packaging my item came in was out of date, miss sold and the issue had been rectified on newer items, yet I was not able to request the hardware required to solve the issue from the agent, I was constantly referred back to the retailer. Calex's response is summed up in - poor service, poor ownership and overall customer experience.
