This site makes it deliberately difficult to cancel and keeps charging, even after cancellation if subscription.
I cancelled by email on 16th Jan and am still being charged.
The search criteria are ignored matching many people far away and many of the people appear to be anonymous.
A waste of time and a scam. Reported to:

Complete scam stay away at all costs. Says its easy to cancel there is no form to cancel so contact customer services which never get back to you at all period. I cancel all subscription with PayPal and checked with my bank I'm now being chased by a debt collection agency for outstanding none payment. Absolute disgrace of a company needs shutting down complete scam stay AWAY

Be very careful - rip off! Signed up to this but no potential matches within a 100 miles. Tried to cancel membership but it just directed me to contact customer services & wouldn’t let me cancel. They directed me to fill out their cancellation form as they said I’d signed up to renewing membership of which I was totally unaware. The form was no where to be found, I asked them to send me a link to it so I could complete but they refused saying I had to do this on their site. Still not able to find this I wrote a letter having sought legal advice confirming I was within my two week cooling off period & protected under UK law. I told them to cancel my membership, delete any data they held on me & confirmed I did not consent to them taking any further monies (cancelled within 5 days). I received no reply but they then took out £40 from my account with no consent. I disputed this via my bank & got the money back & they then send me a letter saying as I’d missed a payment I now owed them £50 & failure to pay would result in a debt company being assigned. I forwarded the letter to them again, have had no response. Con artists hoping to squeeze money out of people & as the other chap says, very easy to sign up to. Avoid at all costs & use the more recognised dating sites. Scammers - they can’t take any further payments as my bank are on it & doubt they’ll take this further but in some way I hope they do as I’d be happy to stand in court against them.

Please read and save yourself from C-DATE !!!!! It’s incredibly easy to join that’s when it starts it is utterly useless and when you try to cancel get ready!!!
I have contacted there customer service on numerous occasions absolutely no reply . I have filled in ,there on line cancellation form with zero reply!!! And reading between the lines this is where they get you a lot of people are in this situation they are trying to cancel there premium subscription hear nothing until the letter lands at your door with a German dept recovery notice !!! It’s a scam trust me if c date wish to contact me please do !!!!! I dought it some what. So an update on my review just received a reply to my trust pilot review according to c date customer service are there 24 hours a day so where are you then still no reply !!! Can you please tell me if my subscription has been cancelled???? And can you confirm why you require a letter of cancellation this practice stopped in the 19th century and why you require a signature? A wait for your reply with anticipation

Far too hard to cancel. Tried to cancel 3 times and still didn't do it correctly. There are far too many BOTS and fake profiles. Not a great experience overall, far easier sites to use and cancel

I can’t remember using the website but they keep charging me money. I am no longer able to access the email address which I believe would have been used to create my account and as such I can’t login to make sure the subscription has been cancelled.

Please stop charging me for something I can’t access and don’t use.

What a bunch of scammers they put on the subscription page offer of 9.99 for 3 months with a tiny little star nex to it when you press on it it takes you to the payment page saying nothing about the star ..the star it's explained dow on page but its not unfolded so if you don't pay attention you just miss it ...if you do see it it says that the payment its for a week not a term of 3 months... deceiving offer and literally scamm ...why they dont say 9.99 per week on the offer Paige and 9.99 for 3 months.... Cheaters and scammers...i contacted them right away to cancel after the 119.88 payment was taken from my PayPal and they dont answered ...i believe they won't anyway...i didn't touch the site so i didn't use their service's i want cancelled the subscription and refund... scammers ...do not subscribe to this site

Thank you for your reply to my last complaint.

Looking through my records, it seems i cancelled my subscription officially on the 23/12/24. I had notification from c-date on the 24th stating the cancellation is pending…

The next email I had was dated 11/01/2025 stating i needed to make payment immediately as my account is in arrears. It seems to me that my cancellation was pending past the next subscription date!

What sort of scam is this? I paid upfront for the membership, which means I simply cannot be in arrears.

Please cancel the bill and delete my account immediately

How I wish I’d checked the reviews before signing up ! Like the other 1.2k reviews, this is evidently a scam…. Tried to cancel after frankly the worst dating platform experience on the net and was met with such hostility, like all the other reviews say, it is made impossible to cancel and then came the debt collection letters… you can shove your debt collection letters !! If you had any decency or legitimacy as you say you do, there’s no way you’d operate a company in this fashion. SCAM SCAM SCAM !!!! Beware at all costs !!!

Do not use this service
It is most definitely a scam.
They enrol you with hidden charges and subscription costs and then make it difficult as possible to cancel the subscription.

It's bullshit

I was curious when I saw these reviews, so looked up the company. Apparently they are "permanently closed" according to Google.

Wonder how they keep trading.

Also had a look for the cancellation button on the home page - it doesn't exist.

I have emailed them to cancel my subscription as its not even 2 days old.

They can keep the first payment but I certainly wont be continuing - the sign up clearly state it was for 1 month.

Then, when you try to delete the account from the account page it tells you "Its not possible to delete - please contact customer services"

As Emma has said you need to be logged out to see the cancel subscription option. Thats a little bit back to front but I have now managed to do it.

Absolute parasites. Make it impossible to cancel and then send you debt collection emails. You will not get a penny more from me. You need investigating and shutting down. Stick you debt collector threats. Merry Christmas - you filthy animals.

You got £9.96 out of me but within 10 minutes on your site i realised I had been scammed.
I have cancelled, I've not used this sight since I paid £9.96
If I receive another letter this is going legal! I was sold a product but your product was a scam this means in a court of law you have no rights.

I was going to give C-Date a go as i needed a personal and emotional boost.. Its frightening to read the reviews assuming they are genuine. Ive tried BeNaughty and that site is similar & full of scammers even has recognised Professional Porn stars dressing up as genuine everyday woman. Rubbish !!!, equally why is it that men have to pay the exhorbatant costs associated where as the women DO NOT...

Complete waste of time and money. Absolute con. Worst website I’ve ever used!! Don’t respond to emails to customer service. Maybe they will respond to the letters that my solicitor is going to send.

I had a disappointing experience with C-Date and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Here’s why:

1. Unclear Cancellation Policies:

While there’s nothing inherently wrong with outsourcing, the timing and quality of support make it feel disconnected from their customer base. Additionally, there is no support on weekends, so you’re left stranded if you need help during that time. It feels like they’re operating on the absolute bare minimum for customer service.

3. Misleading Company Base:
While the company claims to be registered in Luxembourg, the operations don’t reflect the standards you’d expect from a European-based service. The overall experience feels cheap and unprofessional.

In summary, C-Date comes across as a poorly managed service that traps users with confusing policies and offers minimal customer support. I regret using their platform and would advise others to stay away.
