I ordered from this company on the 4th Jan. They took my money and I assumed that my order would be sent. Over 10 days later and I realise I have not received my order I email them.. no response.. I try another email.. also no response.. I try and online form.. no response.. finally manage to get a person to help me on their Facebook page. They refund me eventually… now 14 days since they took my money and I’ve been told I have to wait now for my refund. Still no reply on emails by the way!! So my money has been sitting in their account gaining interest.. dodgy. Zero customer service.

Normally good.One bag was slimy and very fatty.
They just won’t contact me about the complaint.
Hence will try somewhere else!

Bought a kg for my Dad for Christmas, it came in chopped up vacuum packed pieces so I thought I try 1 piece to make sure it's good enough for the old man.
Very very disappointing indeed.
I've tried contacting them via email and then Facebook messenger but although they have seen my message they have not responded and have now blocked me even though I used my best manners that Dad taught me.

Very efficient service, delivered within 24hrs. Best biltong we have had outside SA. Highly recommend definitely going to be ordering again.

The customer service from this company is first class!
I placed an order for fathers day which was lost in the post and within 24 hours I had received a replacement. I spoke with a very nice and understanding young man. Highly recommended

Being South African, I do not give 'biltong praise' away easily or actually at all. All I can say is that these guys know how to make real biltong! A great range of flavours and real quality 'vleis' ! Can't stop eating and won't stop! Thank you guys sooooo much, you are truly amazing!

Thanks for making good and cheap biltong.
Biltong is almost the same as beef jerky.
Perfect for thoose on the run, trying to be healthy and on a budget.

ONE BIG PROBLEM with this is that it is so good that you eat it all up quick, just because it's so tasty. I recieved the package 2 hours ago, and just could'nt stop eating. I am also eating it while typing this.
I do really suggest it!

The first Biltong that I ever tried 3 years ago. Have tried numerous different Biltong brands since then. But Chichester is still tops for me.

I bought a kilo a couple of months ago and it was swimming in oil and it had so much garlic you could not eat it, I had to throw it away. They did refund my money and I said I would try it again sometime . I have the next kilo and this is worse, loads of garlic but the biggest problem is you cannot even chew it as it is so hard, the only way to describe it would be chewing plastic . I do not think anyone at the company has tasted african biltong in their lives if they had they would be very embarrassed

I have been customer of Chichester Biltong Company (CBC) for about 3 years and I have to admit, I really like their biltong. I’ve never had any issues with ordering from them until last month when my order went missing in the post. I have emailed the CBC asking how they are going to resolve this, to which I was told they intend to do nothing and I should follow up with Royal Mail (the courier they used).

Royal Mail are not interested in resolving this. So, in summary, after hours and hours of endless chasing, I am still out of pocket £48 for my order of biltong that was never delivered. This was the final response to me from the Director at the Chichester Biltong Company “I am starting to get annoyed at your assertion that this is in anyway, something that I should pay to sort out ! i.e. refund or send a replacement order.”

If you think that is an acceptable way to speak to a customer of several years, by all means roll the dice, order from the Chichester Biltong Company and hope your package doesn’t go missing. I have now found a new supplier – Muscle Food. Their biltong tastes just as good!!

P.S. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 states:

Passing of risk
(1)A sales contract is to be treated as including the following provisions as terms.
(2)The goods remain at the trader’s risk until they come into the physical possession of—
(a)the consumer, or
(b)a person identified by the consumer to take possession of the goods.

I don't know if this happened to anyone else but i got hooked on that bundu biltong that was literally everywhere a few month ago. For some reason they seem to have stopped promoting it and I haven't been able to find the stuff anywhere for month.

So i ordered some off amazon, from a 3rd party storefront. Been waiting over a month already because they don't have the stock but amazon guarantee it and they've refunded shipping already so whatever.

Anywho enter the chichester biltong company, decent prices, a few days delivery, great tracking and the bltong is great. I had been skeptical about the wetter varies (bundu is very dry) so i ordered a medium wet not fat, dry no fat and dry medium fat. I also ordered some venison and garlic biltong. Overall amazed by the quality, really tasty stuff and you can tailor it however you want which is a really nice and novel concept.

I will definitely be ordering from them soon.
