Customer Service up to point of handover was first class. Post sale customer service was hard work but my issues were minimal and minor.

Beyond a five star service…
I cannot praise the service received from Lynn McNair in purchasing our property at Glasgow Road, Stirling. Lynn made everything run smoothly from the first viewing to taking the keys of the property. To say Lynn went the xtra mile would be a massive understatement. Nothing was too much trouble and she made the whole process stress free. She is an amazing asset that I really hope Allanwater appreciates and values as she is an outstanding employee who I hope goes far as she is capable to benefit the company even further. You have been awesome, Lynn!
take the plunge into Allanwater
given the current market conditions with fluctuating interest rates i was really hesitant to take the plunge and buy, but after speaking to the sales team I decided to go ahead and I'm so glad I did. The site team were very attentive and all my initial issues were resolved by liasing through aftercare. I've now been in my house at Chryston for 6 months and we both love it, I'm so pleased with layout and the location, I'm still living in a building site but to be honest, you'd never know, it's quiet during the day and lovely at night, we can't wait to cosy up in winter when hopefully, we'll be fully moved in and have the garden just the way we want it.
AFTERSALES is appalling
Since leaving a great review in summer 2022 which I wouldn’t take back but we have had issues with our kitchen not fitted correctly and leaks from faulty tap, could lift our sink out. I felt since reporting to the non functional aftersales! I have no other option to get snag scotland out to do a report before one year in my new house. I have followed all correct protocol and reporting to aftersales to now not getting a reply from them. I had a meeting set up for 31/01/2023 to be cancelled last minute (sitting in the site office) but once I started getting my lawyer involved to be told another meeting would be booked which two weeks later heard nothing. I contact head offices director to be passed back to site to reply and ask my concerns I requested a call to discuss this to be ignored AGAIN. Oh I also got told there is a complaints procedure to follow which they wouldn’t deal with snagging or defaults I needed to contact aftersales!!! Which I have already been doing this but getting no reply so how can you follow there procedures when aftersales can’t deal with your emails. It’s actually shocking that the appalling service I’ve received since having issues that don’t get sorted.
Don't buy houses with this builder
Don't buy houses with this builder, we had rising dump within 3 weeks of moving in and they took several week to fix it with the entire downstairs floor lifted. The only compensation they gave us was an external tap and electric socket.Avoid this company also worst customer service ever.

Lived in a allanwater home , thank god we sold in this crazy market at peak prices as they are awful houses and very low quality workmanship. also promises to site plans and so on are lies they will use loop holes to change things as they please. do not touch these guys trust me!!

Great service, Jasmine has been exceptional throughout the entire process and made us feel valued as customers. Nothing was too much trouble can’t praise Allanwater highly enough.
Great homes and great staff
Our experience with Allanwater Homes has been great. The communication with the office was good throughout the build process. We had a few issues but the site managers were very on the ball and attended to the issues quickly. The sales office staff, site managers and the site staff have all been brilliant and have helped us out a lot. Special thanks to Craig one of the site managers especially for going above and beyond to help us out with anything he could.
We absolutely love our new home
We absolutely love our new home. This is the first time we have bought a new build house and were quite anxious about it considering all the horror reviews for some builders. However, our experience with Allanwater Homes could not have been better. The design and quality of the building is superb and the one small issue we had (tiny scratch on glass door) was dealt with immediately. The site manager, foreman, sales manager, in fact all the site staff have been lovely and have gone above and beyond to help us move in. Our house is also 95% energy efficient which we are already feeling the benefit of financially.
Friendly and helpful staff
The staff are very helpful and respond promptly to queries and fix minor defects quickly. A big thanks to all the staff helping us to settle in.
The place is quiet, peaceful and with the greeneries around, an ideal place for a new home. Neighbors are friendly and helpful as well. A high quality residential area.

Horrendous Customer Service and Totally Unprofessional
My mum and dad purchased a £470k bungalow in Haddington.
Completion date was Friday the 15th of July. This was, however, changed at very short notice (earlier this week) to 22nd July. Conveniently for Allan Waters, the sales office was closed on Tuesday and Wednesday so it wasn’t possible to get anyone.
Since Thursday, however, the employees of Allan Waters have basically ignored my mum and dad since, not returning calls etc. How anyone can treat 78 & 80 year old like this is beyond me.
Nice houses, horrendous customer service and total lack of professionalism.
Avoid.

Good AllanWater experience
We moved in to our new AllanWater home in April and have been very pleased, through the buying process and move in. There were delays, however these were all communicated up front, pro-actively by Lynn in the sales office who kept us abreast of not just the delay, but why it was caused. The majority of issues causing delay were outside of AllanWater’s control, but what they could control was great.
Moving in was pain free as well. We were shown the house formally one week before we got the keys, then again at move in. Snags have been small in nature, but site manager Lee and the team have been quick to remedy issues. Everyone has been helpful and friendly, including the office staff when we need to log an issue. Where I would see small room for improvement would be there can be a delay in getting outside contractors in for a week or two, but the snags we experienced were in the main minor and resolved quickly.
I did have apprehension of buying a new build as you hear the horror stories, but from my experience it went pretty much to plan.

Excellent Customer Service
Since buying my property from allanwater homes I’ve experienced excellent service from Lynn your sales advisor, she sorted everything out and nothing was an issue she made sure I was happy at every step of the way. Anytime I left a message I didn’t have long wait for a reply. This was our first time buying a new property and couldnt fault from start to finish. You always have a few bumps along the way but we were updated all the time really appreciated the hard work Lynn put in for us to make sure this was our dream home. We were not disappointed that’s for sure.
The week before we had our keys we got a tour about house making sure everything was ok Lee went through everything with us and explained everything clearly and was very helpful at any issues we were unsure of. He was excellent at all snagging work being carried out and we were happy at the finish jobs. Still now nothing is a problem if we ask Lee to help he goes out his way to sort things for us and really appreciate the help he has given us since moving in. We’re still living on the site which work on flats getting carried out and Lee updates if cranes coming onto site and if noise level is a problem.
All staff have made us feel very welcome and everyone says hello when passing.
Really pleased with buying our property with Allanwater homes and would definitely recommend and now my aunty and uncle have purchased a flat and over the moon with the service.

Good Communication and Professional
We bought our new 3 bedroom house in Stirling. We dealt with Lynn throughout the process and she was professional and detailed. Lynn took us through all the process and the experience of the house on paper was almost like it was already built.
We were kept informed throughout and we received communication and updates on the progress of the property every 1 to 2 weeks and the house was complete within the window we were given.
We carried out an independent professional snagging and there was no major or significant fault identified.
We have engaged with Lee after moving into our house and Lee has been an absolute delight. Lee has done everything that we have asked for that is within his power. The only outstanding things are things that require a 3rd party supply.
We have lived in our house for almost 2 months now and we haven’t had any major complaint.
Hopefully the minor things outstanding will be resolved so that I won’t have to come back to update my review.

Allanwater Homes, so good, we bought another one
After buying an Allanwater home in Alva a few years ago and being thoroughly looked after, when an opportunity arose to buy another, we didn’t hesitate. Once again, the process of dealing with Allanwater was smooth from beginning to end, making buying a new home the enjoyable experience it should be. We could not be happier with our new home and the lovely surroundings Allanwater have created. Highly recommended.

Complete amateurs
From the beginning we have had issues and did seriously consider pulling out of the sale. We were misled by the sales manager (who has since left) as well as the sales advisor (who no longer works for the company) and by the site manager (surprise surprise he no longer works for them either!)
Our garden wasn’t complete at handover and took 9months to complete. For that whole time we had no secure garden for our kids or dog. Our garden wasn’t the shape and slope we were told it was going to be. A wall appeared at the rear of the garden which we weren’t told about. They ‘don’t do compensation’ and couldn’t have cared less about our issues. 2years later we have been served an enforcement notice from the council as Allanwater organised for the fence to be put in 2metres outwith the boundary, encroaching on someone else’s land. However, it would appear Allanwater think it’s nothing to do with them and not their fault. It’s going to be very expensive to sort not too mention the stress.
This is only the tip of the iceberg…we are still dealing with snagging after being fobbed off by various people for 2years.
If you want to deal with a professional company who genuinely care about their customers I wouldn’t buy from them. They are very amateur, their staff are unprofessional and their customer service is almost non existent.

Allanwater Homes was a great choice and they did everything possible to move us into our new home during these difficult times with as much support as they could. Their commitment to ensure they provided a good product and service was clearly visible. The build quality of the houses was good and well prepared for our hand over. Mark and his team ensured they took care of any minor snagging (virtually nothing at all) that you can expect in any new build in a timely professional manor. I am highly delighted with my new home
I am really delighted with my new Allanwater Home. The quality and finish of the build is excellent and the whole experience of buying a new home was made easier as a result of attention to detail from the Sales Consultant (thank you Lynne). I received very good customer service throughout the process and nothing seemed to be a problem. Snagging is always something you experience when buying a new house but for me this was a minimal list of small issues which were sorted quickly and efficiently by the Aftercare team. I would highly recommend purchasing an Allanwater Home.

Poor Customer Service
Never trust a site full of only good reviews.
A close relative of ours purchased a new home from Allanwaters Homes in West Lothian.
Due to poor plumbing in the bathroom and kitchen their kitchen was flooded out with dirty water and sewerage on several occasion.
Unfortunately this happened after they had very expensive flooring laid.
The result is all the downstairs floors are swollen so the flooring has moved. Appliances and bunkers in the kitchen have also moved but worse of all they are not claiming responsibility and the young couple are now seeking further advice from a solicitor and surveyor.
Apparently this has previously happened in another house in the same estate.
Allanwater Homes answer to this problem is to keep sending my relatives brochures on how to lay flooring.
Please take heed when considering purchasing a property from them.
