Absolutely rubbish now. I used to regularly make £5+ a month to get off my phone bill. But now they've switched to a prize draw and despite having quite a few entries I won nothing! Not even a penny. I wonder why they changed it....hmm.
Used to be great but like many others are complaining, my £10 credits that I build up are not being applied. Last month I thought I simply missed the cutoff (even though they were applied quickly before) but this month again it wasn’t applied nor was the next £10 I redeemed. It can’t all be the fault of the phone companies as Airtime imply
Plenty of ways to save problem I had is it never went on my bill when asked it just vanished. But hey ho
I have purchased so many items from B&Q only couple of items I am getting rewards after 3 months others I am not getting rewards. This AIRTIME REWARDS company is cheating the customers. I don't want to give even 1 star but for other people's attention I have given 1 star. For new customers please do not trust this company and the customers who have been cheated they can get justice complaining via ACTION FRAUD.
Airtime Rewards Management Team,
I am writing in response to your generic template reply posted to my recent Trustpilot review regarding my failed £20 O2 bill credit redeemed on 18th September 2026.
Your public statement that you "take full ownership" is completely contradicted by your refusal to take immediate corrective action. Expecting a loyal customer to wait indefinitely while two corporate entities resolve a background technical glitch—while keeping earned funds locked away—is a total failure of service. Furthermore, your response offered zero goodwill for a month-long delay.
O2 has already formally confirmed that no credit was ever passed to them (Complaint Ref: C-031026921). The fault sits entirely within the settlement mechanism.
I require the following actions taken immediately:
Immediate Alternative Settlement: Process the £20 reward payment directly to my bank account via BACS/FPS or manual bank transfer today, given the failure of your automated O2 integration.
Goodwill Compensation: Credit my account with a suitable goodwill gesture for the administrative runaround and total lack of urgency over the last month.
Ticket Escalation: Confirm in writing that this ticket is escalated to a senior manager with the authority to issue manual disbursements, rather than automated support reps sending canned updates.
Please provide confirmation of manual payment within 48 hours. If Airtime Rewards is unable or unwilling to disburse my earned funds manually, I will escalate this formal dispute to the Financial Ombudsman Service / Trading Standards for non-delivery of contractual rewards.
Sent £10 to my O2 account and has gone missing. No help from Airtime, basically tell me to sort it out myself with O2. Sent another £10 and the exact same thing has happened, no customer support. Don't waste your time accumulating credit as no support if it goes missing trying to apply it to your mobile bill.

Good idea for cashback off mobile bills but I invariably have to wait forever for confirmation that money has actually reduced my phone bill , and currently week has passed and not even sure my latest redemption of £10 has come off my latest phone bill. Not received any confirmation from o2.

I dislike the fact that Caffenero and Heavenly Desserts is not part of your reward scheme

I’m missing a number of transactions and my last two redemptions were not credited to my account. Zero customer service, only bots that immediately close your ticket without resolving the issue.

Fantastic little app that allows me to take money directly off my phone bill by recognising my everyday purchases. Literally does its work in the background and rewards me in the process!

You wait so long for some retailers that it’s hard to keep track of your rewards. I know for a fact that I’m missing on some but to claim you have to wait too long and have a receipt so it’s often a give up from me.

I used to love airtime and did see rewards build up which was great obviously. I was really sad when they removed boots from the listed retailers. This is where I accrued most of my credit. Shocked to then discover my friend still had boots as a retailer . They had essentially taken it off me because I assume I was benefiting too much ! Granted I do shop in boots a lot but surely that’s the point of the app! You spend money and save elsewhere. So I think I’m going to delete the app. The retailers I’m left with I don’t shop with so all a bit pointless. I did query it with their customer services and was just told the retailers were given at their discretion. Well toodle pip then!

Airtime did not honour my £20 redemption and also rejected a TrainPal reward with vague explanations.
I redeemed £20 from Airtime Rewards towards an O2 bill on 18 September 2026. The credit did not appear on the O2 account. When I queried this, Airtime said there had been an O2 billing update and that the reward may now show as a separate credit note rather than directly reducing the bill.
I contacted O2 directly and O2 confirmed through customer support that the credit had not been applied to the account. O2 also raised a complaint and provided complaint reference C-031026921. O2 told me that the bill is the evidence Airtime needs because any credit applied to the account would show on the statement. I provided Airtime with the O2 bill and screenshots of the O2 chat, but instead of simply honouring the redemption they continued to give vague explanations and push the issue back.
Separately, I also made a TrainPal purchase through the Airtime link. Airtime confirmed that they could see the link had been used, but still refused the reward by saying that because the transaction did not track, one of the terms must not have been followed. I explained that I used the direct Airtime link, did not use a VPN, did not use a voucher or discount code, did not disable or clear cookies, did not copy and paste the link, and completed the purchase after clicking through from Airtime. They still would not confirm the exact reason for rejection or provide any specific evidence.
This is extremely frustrating because the rewards were earned and redeemed in good faith, yet the £20 credit has not been received and the TrainPal reward has not been honoured.
Airtime should not advertise bill rewards and cashback offers if customers have to chase both Airtime and the mobile provider, provide repeated proof, and still receive vague template responses rather than a proper resolution.
I would not trust Airtime redemptions or earn-by-link rewards until they can show that rewards are actually applied properly, missing rewards are investigated properly, and customers are not passed back and forth or blamed without evidence.

Been using Airtime for a while now, and it’s been a great way to reduce my phone bill without even realising it, while using my debit cards to pay for every day things like groceries or presents for loved ones. Would highly recommend. A*******

It has been beneficial financially for our phone bill but inly comment would be the pressure applied and constant emails to join UP and get quicker payments, dont like this and can be very long winded to capture £10

Its just like magic. You spend money on things you would normally buy and get money back. Whats not to love 🤩

This rewards scheme used to be better but it's slowly been eroded. Boots are no longer participating, it seems, and the new prize draw that replaced the monthly challenges is nowhere near as good.
It's all better than nothing since you do earn if you shop with specific shops (sometimes online only though), but it's not what is was.

Since they have changed their rules it’s hardly worth doing any more. I mostly only use 2 of the retailers and occasionally one or two others. I’ve just heard they have removed Boots which was one of my 2. It now takes weeks for rewards to be redeemable, as I don’t want to link other cards to join UP, so is hardly worth bothering. I may quit after I’ve had my next £10 off my mobile bill - if it even happens before my contract runs out. Overall it has become much worse since the changes were introduced!
