Airbot L108S Pro Ultra Review

Airbot L108S Pro Ultra Review

I recently purchased the Airbot L108S Pro Ultra, which boasts both vacuum and mopping functionality. While it looks quite fancy with its water tumbler for cleaning the mop head and a disposal tumbler for dirty water, I recommend testing it out before making a purchase.

Unfortunately, I'm unsure what LIDAR system it uses, but it seems quite clumsy. It frequently hits objects or furniture legs and often gets stuck. On top of that, it is the noisiest vacuuming robot I've ever encountered. In comparison, my previous Deebot Ecovac T9 units were reliable workhorses, performing their tasks elegantly and efficiently.

I suggest trying both the Ecovac and Airbot before deciding on the Airbot.

A Cautionary Tale: Airbot Hypersonics Pro 27,000 PA Handheld Vacuum

*Purchased from Airbot Singapore / Airbot Shopee Mall*

I feel compelled to share my experience with the Airbot Hypersonics Pro Handheld Vacuum, as someone who genuinely wants others to make an informed decision before investing in this product. My disappointment stems from multiple aspects that I believe potential buyers should be aware of, notably, a battery that failed within two weeks and, most importantly, **** Airbot’s “No Returns No Refunds” policy ****.

Imitation Isn't Always Flattery:
The design of the Airbot vacuum is a blatant imitation of a well-known brand, down to the colours and component shapes. Don’t let the imitation fool you. It’s nothing like what it’s pretending to be.

Lackluster Suction Power:
Despite boasting multiple settings, including a ‘maximum’ setting, the suction power of the Airbot vacuum falls woefully short. Even on the highest setting, it struggles with basic tasks like lifting dog hair from rugs or efficiently picking up larger debris. Be prepared to go over the same spot multiple times.

Not-So-Smart Dust Sensor
The smart dust sensor turns out to be more of a frustration than a convenience. The sensor reacts after you've passed the area, requiring you to revisit spots multiple times.

Battery Woes Within Weeks:
Within literally two weeks of ownership, the vacuum's battery failed completely. When I attempted to leverage the warranty, the response from Airbot's customer was staggering.

Customer Service Nightmare:
Attempting to address the faulty device through the warranty process was an ordeal in itself. The automated questions posed during the warranty claim suggest that the manufacturer is well aware of these recurring issues. To add insult to injury, I was told I had to either personally deliver the vacuum to the service centre, or pay Airbot an additional $15 for them to collect it.

No Refund, No Replacement, No Options:
Shockingly, despite the vacuum failing within two weeks, I was denied any option for a refund. Airbot advised that "Once product is unboxed and item is used, option to return / refund the item is no longer accepted due to warranty activation and hygiene reasons".

Misleading High Ratings:
Take the Shopee ratings with a grain of scepticism. The platform pushes for early reviews, and automatically confirms orders, which creates a misleading impression of the product's quality. All the reviews on there are from owners who have had the vacuum for less than 2 weeks.

I write this as a plea to potential buyers, to think twice before investing in the Airbot Hypersonics Pro Handheld Vacuum. There are reputable brands with proven track records, and unfortunately, Airbot falls woefully short of delivering a reliable product and satisfactory customer service.

Wishing you informed and wise shopping decisions.
