Amazing Service

I called Caboodle as I wasn't sure about some binding combs I needed to order and they were incredibly polite and helpful.

When I did order the delivery arrived the next day - what more could I ask for!

Warning - Caboodle does not deliver.

Ordered 2 boxes rubber bands saying they would deliver next day, After 3 weeks and many emails, no response at all. Tel No. is premium rate Very angry with this company. Please please do not try to obtain goods from them as they will not arrive.
This company is obviously making big profits!

Christmas card

I ordered 21 packets of light blue card. When the order arrived 1 packet was blue and 20 packets were green. I rang customer service and was given an apology and told that incorrect card would be collected and replacement delivered. The following day the driver arrived to collect green card and left another 20 packets of green card. I rang again and was told that it was probably incorrect items on the shelves so she had asked for a full stock check to be done. She rang later in the day to say that it was as she said and that in fact there were only 13 packets of blue which would be sent off that day with the remainder to follow the following week. The following day 20 packets of liliac card arrived. I rang again and was given an apology and told that they would look into the problem. She rang back later in the day to say that in fact they have no stock of blue. She would ring me back to say when the new stock would arrive. She rang on the following Monday to say that my order would be delivered the following day. Tueday arrived and went, then Wednesday with no delivery. I rang again to be told that there had been a problem with deliver of new stock and that replacement would not now arrive until 14th November. I pointed out that my patience was now running out. I suggested that perhaps someone in the company was totally incompetent and asked what had happened to the 13 packets which were there when the stock check had been done. She was unable to give any explanation for this. I said that I was now desperate for the card. She said that they had plenty of stock of pale blue in another brand and would send that instead. I agreed to this. This time my order was delivered as promised followed by an email invoice for an additional charge for the alternative brand. I rang back and suggested that I would be ignoring the invoice and perhaps she would be able to deal with it. I was not offered any compensation for all my trouble. While I am very happy with the blue card I feel very disappointed that the delivery process was such a sequence of basic errors which the customer service department seemed unable to get to grips with even when they told me on 2 occasions that the issue had been escalated to a higher level.

Perseverance needed with customer service

Bought a phone via Amazon - all good.
Phone developed a fault 6 months later - told me to contact manufacturer.
I did this, who informed me that as the phone is not made anymore (and therefore can't just be replaced), I would need to go back to Caboodle, who could:
a) refund me
b) return the phone and it's 10 year guarantee to the manufacturer who would refund Caboodle.

Caboodle were not interested in fulfilling their duties as a responsible seller.

Update: thanks to this review and another one posted elsewhere, plus some email persistence on my part, Caboodle has recognised their duties as a decent company and agreed to refund the goods. Review rating updated accordingly, subject to successful conclusion of this little episode of course.

Thank you for taking the time to pass back comments regarding your experience with Caboodle. The comments do raise a number of points which I would be grateful if you could clarify and I would also like to comment and advise regarding this matter.

Firstly, can you confirm the date of purchase, invoice or order number, make and model of phone?

If you can confirm when you raised this as an issue with us and who who spoke with or had any email correspondence from ?

We have been trading for a number of years and in all this time no manufacturer has ever referred a customer back to us unless the product has become faulty within 30 days which is standard distance selling regulations covering online transactions.

Standard protocol for these matters are to have a report on the faulty item to report on why it is not working to see if the manufacturer has issues with the item and it has not become faulty through damage or incorrect use.

If the item cannot be replaced as the model has become discontinued there will be a definition in a 10 year guarantee to determine what is the required action either refund or replacement for a suitable or higher model

I would assure you that Caboodle does take fulfilling duties very seriously.If you can provide further information and send these details to info@caboodle.co.uk this will be taken further.

Worst company I have ever dealt with

They charge for items not in stock send despatch notes for items not despatched. Say they have refunded money when they have not. They do not reply to emails. Promise to phone back and then do not.

I will never do business with them again.

Worst company & customer service EVER!

This is the worst company I have ever bought from. I cannot believe they can get away with this sort of service. I will never use them again and that's a shame because as a business owner I know of many companies who could have used this company, but I will not be recommending them now. My goods did not arrive & I was told that I refused the delivery...I never even saw it! No one from Caboodle would ring me back or email me back about this. I then re-ordered whilst waiting for a refund within 3-5 days apparently. The next lot turned up completely battered. The box was open and all the packaging inside was also open and damaged. The delivery driver didn't wait to leave it, but I couldn't be bothered to send it back as it was such a pain. Now a MONTH on, I still haven't received my refund after ringing them and emailing them and being promised it will be sorted today, it doesn't ever happen. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, pay more from a reliable source. I just hope I get this cleared up soon before I post my review on every single website out there!!

God help anyone who buys from this outfit

Dire. Possibly criminally dire. They sent us clearly second hand goods. I mean,,,, they were rusty(!!) and repackaged. I told them they should stick to eBay for this kind of tat. They really didn't get it. Three weeks after the goods have done back we have received no refund. Thank goodness I paid by credit card because surely this outfit will go under. You cannot sell second hand goods "by mistake". And then forget to provide a refund "by mistake".

Terrible customer service

My goods arrived open, squashed and missing some of the content. After talking to someone who sounded like they had just woken up, I was told they would not replace the items, just collect them after I had 'carefully' repackage them again (so the goods aren't damaged in any way).

They may be cheap, but their customer care and product quality reflects this.

This is the first and last time I will use them for my business purchases.

Sent Wrong Items and Don't Respond To Emails

I ordered 4 reams of paper and they deliver a display stand. Make me wait for refund but think i should re-order the goods I originally ordered. I went elsewhere but must wait another week for my money and their gross error.

I have used them before but never again ! How anyone can confuse 4 reams of paper with a plastic display stand beggars belief. No apology. Just order again if you want what you originally ordered.

Tough retail market carry on pissing off customers and help your competition

One to avoid!

Ordered from them. Item said in stock for next day delivery. Two days later one of six came which was wrong size wrong make etc the product they sent was not even on their website and was a fraction of the cost when i finally found it elsewhere.

Terrible

Product is not as describe when delivered . They sent me Unbranded product which would have cost 1/5th of the price of the branded one that i ordered for. Called Up to get refund they say item is unbranded on site even thou it was not. Finally got this sorted but still did not receive my refund so had to sent them a email. they replied saying "YOUR REFUND WILL BE PROCESSED WITHIN THE NEXT 24 HRS." So i waited . 5 working days later still have not received anything . Called them up and they said they processing it right now . Just hope i get refund after this call

I ordered a kodak digital photo frame for a christmas present. The website said it was in stock and available for next day delivery. I ordered the item which arrived a week later but when I opened the box they had sent me a different product without any of the features of the kodak but still charged me the price of the kodak! I requested they call me back on their webiste. No call came. Had to call them myself at my expense only to be told the kodak is an obselete item and I have been given an alternative instead - without checking this with me first. Unacceptable and thoroughly disappointed. It is now christmas eve and I have no present to give.

Pathetic !!!

Appalling service... Tried to order a laminator (with 'next day delivery' as standard) - after TWO weeks they cancelled the order because they could not 'verify me' ... spouting some nonsense about being unable to confirming my identity via the electoral-roll, credit-reference-checks and institute-of-directors ... I was trying to place a personal order on my own debit card, not apply for a bank loan ... Ridiculous company, highly unreliable ... Avoid! -RJ-

Appalling

I placed an order then heard nothing. I rang after 10 days and they said they'd rng back. They didn't. I rang again and they said it was because I said I was a business. They asked for my company registration number - I don't have one - a sole trader nder my own name, I am. They emailed later and said they'd cancelled the order as they couldn't verify me.

Never happened before adn I was going to pay straght away using my VIsa - didn't even WANT a business account. Don't touch them.

Caused me to consider cancelling my debit card

I placed an order, provided all card details and the order was accepted. 24 hours later I received an email in extremely bad english (like a phishing scam) saying that they would not supply as they couldn't find me in a credit and directors search (this was a private order). I wondered whether I had come across a bogus site looking for my debit card details and considered cancelling my card. Was only dissuaded by apparent evidence (like other reviews) that they existed.

Pretty Pathetic

Ordered office chair carpet mat but service and information given to me was not accurate and finally I ended up cancelling the order.

didn't tell me when I was buying that the product is out of stock, initial delivery date was within 2 days then I called three times and they kept giving me future dates, waited for two weeks and finally cancelled the order after two weeks, just a sheer waste of time ....

then asked for a refund, the woman said that would be fine, still waiting two weeks later for the refund.

RIDICULOUSLY BAD EXPERIENCE

Purchase was not received at all. No information regarding status of delivery. Had to call customer service 5 times. Each time custormer service promise to check delivery and claimed to get back to me but never did. Finally when I called them for the last time, was told that delivery has failed for reasons unexplainable and they're not reshipping the product anymore. Very poor and unreliable service. I am extremely disappointed. Won't ever purchase from this merchant anymore!
